NOTE: These instructions for installation are intended to be a
general guide to help the installer. Because of the large number of
possible mounting configurations, the installer is responsible for
the ultimate installation design. Any modifications to the product
are at the discretion, responsibility and risk of the installer.
The VIBROWEDGE is a vibration
isolation system designed for use on
top of the fender to secure to a 1-7/8”
tube mount in radiused or flat applications.
Each X-FLEX Vibrowedge System Includes
4 Vibro-Isolators
4 Mount Retainers
4 Backing Plates
8 Spacers
8 Decorator Covers
8 Self-threading Screws
4 Set Screws
8 Hex Head Bolts
8 Large Flat Washers
8 Keepers (plastic)
8 Locknuts
16 Small Flat Washers
4 T-Nuts
1. Insert the spacers into the
rubber Vibro Insulator.
Next, insert the Vibro
Insulator into the
Mount Retainer.
Insert the T-Nut into
the Mount Retainer from
the underside as shown.
Hold T-Nut in place while
sliding the mounting
tube through the
Mount Retainer.

3. On the fender, mark the bolt
hole location through the
spacers by using a spotting punch or
5/16th dia. drill bit.
4. Remove the
VIBROWEDGE assembly, then drill
11/32 to 3/8 in. dia.
holes in the fender for the
mounting bolts.
5. Place the large flat washers on the bolts. Insert
the bolts from the top through the spacers
in the VIBROWEDGE assembly. Next,
install a small flat washer and a
plastic keeper over the threads
of each bolt. This will hold
the bolt, washers and VIBROWEDGE together
for final assembly.
6. Place the VIBROWEDGE
assembly on the fender with
the bolts through the mounting holes drilled in step #4.
7. On the under side of the
fender, place the backing
plates, small flat washers
and the lock nuts onto the
mounting bolts.
8. Partially tighten nuts,
allowing for some movement of the VIBROWEDGE.
Do not tighten completely
until the mounting tube is
bolted tightly to the truck
frame and the fender is
positioned correctly.
9. Tighten the lock nuts
to 168 in. lbs. or 14 ft.
lbs. Then tighten the
setscrews to
+/_ 3in. lbs. or 4 ft. lbs
48 in. lbs.

2. When both VIBROWEDGE isolators are on the
mounting tube, position correctly on the
fender for spotting the mounting holes
Note: The desired position for the
X-FLEX VIBROWEDGE will vary from one
installation to another. This is best determined with the help of the instructions from
the fender manufacturer.
If mounting instructions from the fender manufacturer
are unavailable, the VIBROWEDGE should be located
approximately 5”-6” in from the sides and 12”-18” in
from the ends of the fender.
10. Now install the decorator cover by first
inserting the bottom
end under the lip of
the mount retainer,
and then fastening the
top with the self-threading
screws.
