General
Flanders introduces the newest member of the
PrecisionCell design family. This lter that has been
tested and certied to be MERV 16 or higher for
applications requiring higher efficiency than our
standard ASHRAE lters and lower pressure drops
than traditional DOP lters.
Installation Considerations
The PrecisionCell M16 lters are manufactured with
wet laid micro berglass media. The media is 100%
separatorless and self-supporting. This means there
are no glue beads, media strips, or string separating
the media pack. The deletion of aluminum separators
makes the lter incinerable and easy to dispose of.
The frame is constructed of either 24 GA galvanized
steel, 0.063” aluminum or thin gauge stainless steel.
The lter media is sealed to the frame on all (4) sides
with a two component ame retardant solid urethane.
PrecisionCell M16 is available in a box style, header
style, or double turn ange frame conguration.
Various gasket material options are available and are
applied to conform to customer requirements.
Precision Cell M16 lters are UL900 Class 1 rated.
Product Superiority
The product offers the following advantages over
conventional ASHRAE lters.
Maximum Media Area
Gasket seal filters have 265 sq. ft. of media
compared to 125 sq ft for traditional ASHRAE
lters. The greater media area provides a longer
time period between lter replacements.
Exceptional Efciency
The signicant quantity of media translates into an
extremely low media velocity. Therefore a minimum
overall efciency of 92% at 0.3µm and a MERV 16
per ASHRAE standard 52.2.
Minimal Pressure Drop
The typical DOP rated lter pressure drop can
range from 1.4”w.g. to 1.8”w.g. at the rated ow.
The pressure drop of the PrecisionCell M16 is
0.8”w.g. at the rated ow.
Physical Data
Frame: 24 ga. corrosion-resistant steel. Other
frame materials are also available.
Media: Moisture-resistant micro-ne berglass
paper, sealed in the frame with Class 1
urethane.
Separators: Hemmed corrugated aluminum.

Product Options
The PrecisionCell M16 lters are available as gasket
seal only, contact factory for additional options.
Gasket Seal
The standard lter gasket is 1/4” black poly-
butyl attached to the frame with a pressure
sensitive adhesive. Other gasket options are
available upon request.
Faceguards
The standard lter faceguard is an expanded
galvanized screen on the downstream side.
