PROBLEM SOLVING
No power to the fire Check the wall socket, plug and fuse.
No illumination Turn off main on/off switch and leave for one minute to reset software or
Check dimmers set too l ow. C heck bulbs hav e not blown or internal fuse has n ot
blown (see maintenance). Heater will still work if any of the above are the case.
Heater cuts out continually The safety cut has operated see note on operating th e Fire. Where t he inset fire
is being used in an existing chimney, it is important that the chimney is blocked
off to prevent airflow probl ems with the fire. Where a chimney is not blocked of f
sufficiently it will cause the heater to cut out and the flame effect to stop or work
poorly.
Remote will n ot work. Check battery. See maint enance, Changing or matching remote frequency.
Loud humming noise when illuminated Due to moving parts, the electric fire will make a noise. This may vary slightly.
For a comparison it may be necessary to visit your local dealer. Important: your
home is quieter than a busy store.
Noise fr om the heat er when in use Same as above. As well as a slight humming noise the sound of rushing air will be
apparent. Both are normal.
Frame sits away from fire upon delivery There is a toleranc e of 2 to 4mm where to frame sits around the fire. This i s
normal. The frames are hand made. Held on by magnets it may be pulled upward
and off then replaced back o nto the fire in a si milar fashion if an obvious coming
away has occurred.
