It is now the next player’s turn. Play moves clockwise (to the person on
your left).

• When you have collected all of the Fashion Pieces needed to complete
one of the Career Cards, take that card and set it in front of you. You have
earned the number of points on that card! Place all of your Fashion
Pieces back in the center of the playing area, and flip over a new Career
Card from the unused pile.

• As you collect Career Cards, keep a running tally of how many points you
have.

• Continue to take turns until a player has completed enough outfits to
earn 8 career points.

LET’S GET READY!

1) Shuffle the Career Cards and flip over the correct number of cards:

• 3 cards for a 2-player game.

• 4 cards for a 3-player game.

2) Place the face-up cards where all players can see them. Leave the

remaining cards facedown in a pile; this is the draw pile.

3) Spread the sheets of Fashion Pieces face-up in the center of the playing

area; the color background indicates whether they are Tops, Bottoms or
Accessories:

• Purple = Accessories

• Blue = Tops

• Pink = Bottoms

4) Each player takes a Dressing Room.

5) The player whose birthday is next gets to start!

THE CAREER CARDS

• Each face-up Career Card shows you which Fashion Pieces you need to

collect in order to complete that outfit.

• You may need to collect 2 to 4 pieces depending on the outfit; look at

the bottom of the card to find out what you need.

• In place of a specific Fashion Piece, you may see a question mark (?) in a
colored circle. This means you can collect ANY Fashion Piece that

corresponds to the color of the circle (Purple = Accessory, Blue = Top,
Pink = Bottoms).

EXAMPLE: To complete this outfit, you will need 4 Fashion Pieces:
Briefcase + ANY Accessory (purple) + ANY Top (blue) + Long Skirt

This outfit is worth 3 points.

THE SHOE DIE

The Shoe Die has 5 icons, which tell you which Fashion Pieces you can
take:

Top – Are you looking for a blouse, jacket or apron?

Bottom – How about a pants or a skirt?

Accessory – What outfit doesn’t need a hat or shoes?

Wild (Any) – Take any Fashion Piece: Top, Bottom or Accessory.

Borrow – Take one Fashion Piece from another player!

LET’S PLAY!

• Take a look at the face-up Career Cards. As you take your turns, you want

to try to collect the Fashion Pieces needed to complete the outfits on
these cards. You can also collect Fashion Pieces to keep other players
from completing outfits.

• As you collect your Fashion Pieces, remember that you cannot have
more than 1 Top, 1 Bottom and 2 Accessories at the same time.

• When it’s your turn, roll the die. The icon you roll tells you what kind of

Fashion Piece you may take from the center playing area:

a Top , Bottom , or Accessory .

• If you roll the Wild icon , then you can take ANY Fashion Piece.

• If you roll Borrow , instead of taking a Fashion Piece from the center

of the playing area, you may take one from another player (if no one has
any Fashion Pieces to take, or you choose not to take one, then your
turn is over).

• After you have selected your Fashion Piece, place it on the Barbie®
image on your Dressing Room.

• If you roll a Fashion Piece that you already have, you can exchange it for
a different one. Example: If you roll the Top icon, but you already have a
top, you can put it back and take a different top.
