• Turn over both bases on a flat surface.
• Fit the base connector onto the bases.
Hint: The base connector is designed to fit on the bases one way. If it does not seem to fit, turn it around and try again!

• Insert four screws into the base connector and tighten.
• Turn the assembly upright.

• Position the gate so that the notched edge is up.
• Fit the peg on the bottom of the gate into the hole in the base assembly A.
• While holding the gate in place, fit the wall with radio into the base assembly B.

• Insert the remaining wall into the base assembly.
• Fit the top of each wall together.

• Fit the connector on one wall into the slot on the other wall. Push firmly to secure in place.
• Tuck the wire into the slot so that it is not pinched when assembling the window (in step 9).

• Fit the bird onto the wall assembly, as shown.

• Carefully turn the assembly on its side.
• Insert eight screws into the holes in the bottom of the assembly and tighten.
• Turn the assembly upright.

• Insert four screws into the holes labeled with a "1" on the other side of the wall assembly and tighten.

• Fit the window onto the wall assembly.
Hint: Slide the shutter on the window all the way to the right, as shown, before attaching the
window.

• Fit the handle pieces onto the top of the assembly.
Hint: The handle pieces are designed to only fit one way. If they do not seem to fit, turn them around and try again!

• Insert four screws into window and tighten.
• Move the shutter on the window back and forth to ensure proper assembly.

Battery Installation Battery Safety Information

“AA” (LR6)
• Locate the battery compartment on the back of the toy.
• Loosen the screws in the battery compartment door with a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the battery compartment door.
• Insert three, new “AA” (LR6) alkaline batteries.
Hint: We recommend alkaline batteries for longer battery life.
• Replace the battery compartment door and tighten the screws.
• If this product begins to operate erratically, you may need to reset the electronics. Slide the power/volume switch off and then back on.
• When sounds/lights from this toy become faint or stop, it’s time for an adult to change the batteries.
• Protect the environment by not disposing of this product with household waste (2002/96/EC). Check your local authority for recycling advice and facilities (Europe only).
In exceptional circumstances, batteries may leak fluids that can cause a chemical burn injury or ruin your product. To avoid battery leakage:
• Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different types: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium).
• Insert batteries as indicated inside the battery compartment.
• Remove batteries during long periods of non-use. Always remove exhausted batteries from the product. Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of product in a fire. The batteries inside may explode or leak.
• Never short-circuit the battery terminals.
• Use only batteries of the same or equivalent type, as recommended.
• Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
• Remove rechargeable batteries from the product before charging.
• If removable, rechargeable batteries are used, they are only to be charged under adult supervision.
