Battery Replacement
Batteries included are for demonstration purposes only. Replace batteries when sound or image becomes distorted.
For longer life use only alkaline batteries. Toy requires 2 replaceable AAA/LR03 alkaline batteries. When “BATTERIES LOW” shows on screen, change batteries within 3 minutes. To replace batteries, use a Phillips head screwdriver (not included) to open battery door. Insert 2 AAA/LR03 alkaline batteries as shown. Use either AAA/LR03 alkaline batteries or equivalent. Replace battery cover and screw closed.

Replace battery cover and screw closed.
NOTE: Each time new batteries are installed, the TV reverts to TRY ME mode. Simply repeat one of the 2 steps described in the “Switching from TRY ME mode to NORMAL mode” on page 2.

How to exit TRY-ME mode
There are 2 ways to exit the TRY-ME mode.
1. Hold down the “Yes” button on the TV for 3 seconds until the unit powers off.
2. Press any button on the TV to turn it back on (T V should now be in normal play mode).
OR
1. Point the remote control directly at the TV within a distance of 12” /30 cm.
2. Press any button on the remote control.
3. TV should now be in normal play mode.
Note: TV will re-enter TRY-ME mode whenever it is reset or the batteries are changed.

ARROWS
These are used to move characters and selection arrows. Press YES to select what you have chosen.

LET’S CHANNEL SURF!
To turn on and start to play, press the YES button on either the TV or the remote.
Press either the LEFT or RIGHT button to switch channels. There are 5 channels plus a bonus channel that needs to be unlocked (see EARN POINTS to learn how to unlock). Each channel has different games and activities.

These are used to move characters and selection arrows. Press YES to select what you have chosen.

EARN POINTS
Play games to earn points. There are 3 levels of points, and each level unlocks a secret game, activity or the bonus channel. When you earn a point, you’ll see a screen showing you how many points you have. (This screen goes away in a few seconds or when you press a
button to return to the game.)
SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN SETS ARE CONNECTED!
2 or more TVs
Press any button on one TV, and a character comes over from the other TV. The character may change each time! You can go back and forth between TVs.
3 or more TVs
Programs or shows automatically play. No need to press any button.
Hair color of characters may change when moving from one device to another. Pixel Chix™ TVs only connects to other TVs and do not connect to any other Pixel Chix™ device.
MORE ACTIVITIES ON THE WEB
Go to the pixelchix.com web site for more activities related to programs or shows. At the end of a show, you may see a channel number on your Pixel Chix TV screen. Go to the web site, click on the “Secret Code” link, choose “TV”, and enter the channel number. You can either play a game or make your own movie by putting together movie clips in the “Movie-Maker.”
STORAGE
Plug the remote control into the side of the TV as shown. That way you’ll won’t lose the remote control like your TV’s real remote! Now, where is that remote?
TROUBLESHOOTING
RESET BUTTON
Reset product to start a fresh game. Ask an adult to insert a metal tip, such as a bent paper clip, into the hole.
When exposed to an electrostatic source, the product may malfunction and suffer memory loss. Reset the product if this occurs.
NOTE: Holding down the YES button for 3 seconds powers down the unit.
