USING YOUR PASSWORD NOTES™
GETTING STARTED
To open your Password Notes for the first time, insert the Reset Key, with the Girl Tech logo facing up, into the slot located on the rear panel.
NOTE: Make sure you insert the Reset Key into the slot on the rear panel. There is also a slot on the left side panel which leads to the Secret Compartment. Inserting the key
into this slot could result in the key becoming locked inside of your Password Notes.
You will then need to select the mode that you would like to use. You have a choice of two modes, Whisper Off and Whisper On. To select the mode, slide the Whisper switch to the desired position.
Whisper Off Mode - With this mode, you will record and speak your password in a normal tone of voice.
Whisper On Mode - With this mode, you will record and speak your password in a whisper.
Depending on the mode you selected, you will then be prompted to “Record your Password” or “Whisper your Password”. Wait for the green “Access” light to illuminate then speak or whisper your chosen password into the microphone (Mic). Short words like "popcorn" or "fun" work best. You will then be prompted to “Repeat your Password”.
NOTE: When recording your password, make sure you are in a quiet place. Your Password Notes hears everything.
NORMAL USE
Press and hold the Access button. Depending on the mode you selected, you will be prompted for “Your Password Please” or to “Whisper your Password”. Wait for the green “Access” light, then speak or whisper your chosen password clearly into the microphone (Mic). Continue following the voice prompts until your Password Notes opens automatically.
CHANGING MODES AND PASSWORDS
Whenever you change modes, you will be prompted to record a new password. At the voice prompts, record your new password by speaking or whispering clearly into the microphone (Mic) as described earlier. To change your password without changing modes, press and hold the Password button for about one second. This will erase your old password and you will be prompted to record your new password.
LOCKING YOUR PASSWORD NOTES™
Firmly close the cover and your Password Notes will lock automatically.
SECURITY SWITCH Security - Sliding this switch between “Hi” and “Lo”
controls how precisely your Password Notes recognizes your voice. If you are experiencing problems with getting your Password Notes to recognize your password, switching to "Lo" security may help.
RESET KEY
The Reset Key is located in the battery compartment door. The Reset Key will open your Password Notes without asking for your password, just in case you forget it. Insert the Reset Key, with the Girl Tech logo facing up, into the slot located on the rear panel and your Password Notes will open automatically.
NOTE: Make sure to keep your key in a safe place or put it back in the battery compartment door. Never put it inside of the locking portion of your Password Notes.
SECRET COMPARTMENT
The Secret Compartment, located under the Removable Tray, is perfect for keeping small items, such as coins or special notes that you want to keep private. To put your private notes into the Secret Compartment without
opening your Password Notes, slip them through the slot located on the left side panel. When you want to access the contents of the Secret Compartment, lift out the Removable Tray.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If you are having trouble getting your Password Notes to recognize your password, try switching to the “Lo” Security mode.
