On choosing Pro Racer, the ultimate PlayStation 2 driving peripheral. Pro Racer can be used with all kinds of PlayStation games, but is primarily designed for use with driving games.
How to setup your Pro Racer
• Turn off your PlayStation 2.
• Insert the Pro Racer’s plug into one of the standard controller ports on your PlayStation 2.
• Turn on your PlayStation 2.
Using your Pro Racer (see fig.1)
The Pro Racer has all of the Buttons that you would expect from a PlayStation controller. All are clearly marked and used in exactly the same way as normal. In addition, the Pro Racer will function in three major modes:
• Negcon
• Vibra Force 2 Digital
• Vibra Force 2 Analog
Negcon mode
This is a mode specifically designed for steering wheels and may be required by some driving games. In this mode, the steering wheel handle,
buttons are all analog. The rumble feature will not be active in this mode.
To switch the Pro Racer to Negcon mode follow these steps.
• Press and hold the MODE button down for
2 seconds and release.The LED will flash to let you know that you're in Negcon mode.
Vibra Force 2 digital
This is the best option for non-driving games, but you may find that you prefer it for some driving games too. In this mode the steering wheel handle,
buttons are all digital. The rumble feature should be active in this mode. This is the default mode for the controller and the LED is off .
Vibra Force 2 analog
This is the best option for driving games. In this mode, the steering wheel handle and buttons are all analog. The rumble feature should be active in this mode. To switch the Pro Racer to analog mode follow these steps.
• Press the MODE button once. The LED will
turn on to let you know that you're in analog mode.
TROUBLESHOOTING
The Pro Racer is not working at all.
• Make sure that the Pro Racer plug is firmly
connected to the PlayStation 2 controller port.
• Try to change modes.
The rumble feature is not working.
• Make sure that the vibration feature is activated in the game itself.
• Make sure that the game your playing is compatible with the official Sony dual shock controller.
MAINTENANCE
• Handle this product carefully.
• Store this product away from dusty or dirty areas.
• Keep this product away from moisture or temperature extremes.
• Do not disassemble this product. If a problem occurs, consult your warranty card for replacement instructions.
