To exit demo mode, press the RESET
button located on the bottom of the
“Mama” duck - “Ducky”.
Once upon a time there was a little ducky
who needed a friend…
And now it’s found one
fun playing imagination games like “Follow the
Leader” and “Hide and Seek” with their new “Follow
Me Ducky”!
SETTING UP
Strap the wristband that holds
the small duck onto your
child’s wrist and show him or
her where the button is on top
of the small duck’s head.
There is a transmitter inside
the small duck.
Next, place the “Mama” duck “Ducky” onto the floor
(preferably on a smooth
surface) and press Ducky’s
head. There is a head switch
that turns the signal receiver
inside Ducky on when its head
is pressed, and the floor
switch is activated when
Ducky is placed onto the floor.
Ducky is activated by pressing
the button on the small duck
head. Once Ducky is activated

she will spin in a circle trying to locate your child. When Ducky
locates the transmitter signal from your child’s small duck, it will
slowly move toward him or her.
FOLLOW THE LEADER CREATIVE PLAY
After Ducky locates your child, it will follow him or her giggling and
saying phrases like, “I’m coming with you.” or “Here I come!” Your
child can lead Ducky all around from as far away as four feet.
NOTE: After the button on the small duck is pressed, the
transmitter will only transmit for five minutes. To continue
transmitting, press the button again. The green light on the
small duck must be on for Ducky to follow.
HIDE AND SEEK CREATIVE PLAY
If your child moves beyond four feet or hides behind an object,
Ducky will try to locate your child by turning in a circle and saying
phrases like, “I can’t see you”. Your child may then step back into
Ducky’s “line of sight” and press the button on the small duck to
have Ducky follow him or her again.
When Ducky finds your child and has been picked up, it will say, “I
found you!” and they can start the game all over again!
SPECIAL FEATURES
Ducky will automatically shut itself off after it has lost the signal
from the child’s small duck for more than two minutes.
The transmitter in the small duck will automatically turn off five
minutes after being pressed.
When Ducky is picked up, its drive motor will automatically stop.
TROUBLE SHOOTING:
If the Ducky does not track accurately, check to make sure new
batteries have been installed in both units.
If your product still malfunctions, insert a blunt pointed object into
the Reset button, located on the bottom of the Ducky and on the
side of the small duck.
BATTERY INSTALLATION:
This game is powered by six (6) batteries; two (2) AAA& four (4)
AA.
• Using a screwdriver, loosen the screw until the battery
compartment door of the small duck can be removed.
• Insert two (2) AAAbatteries (we recommend alkaline) as
indicated inside the battery compartment of the small duck.
• Replace the battery compartment door and tighten the screw with
a screwdriver. Do not over-tighten.
• Using a screwdriver, loosen the screw until the battery
compartment door of the Ducky can be removed.
• Insert four (4) AAbatteries (we recommend alkaline) as indicated
inside the battery compartment of the Ducky.
• Replace the battery compartment door and tighten the screw with
a screwdriver. Do not over-tighten.
ADULT SUPERVISION IS RECOMMENDED WHEN
CHANGING BATTERIES.
CAUTION:
•As with all small batteries, the batteries
used with this game should be kept
away from small children who might still
put things in their mouths. If a battery is
swallowed, consult a physician
immediately.
•Be sure you insert the battery correctly
and always follow the game and battery
manufacturer’s instructions.
•Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
•Batteries might leak if improperly
installed, or explode if recharged,
disassembled or heated.
MAINTENANCE:
• Handle this game carefully.
• Store this game away from dusty or dirty areas.
• Keep this game away from moisture or extreme temperature.
• Do not disassemble this game. If a problem occurs, press the
Reset button, or remove and replace the batteries to reset the
game, or try new batteries. If problems persist, consult your
warranty card for replacement instructions.
• Use only the recommended battery type.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable
(nickel-cadmium) batteries.
• Do not use rechargeable batteries.
• Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
• Remove any exhausted batteries from the game.
• Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
• Insert batteries with the correct polarity.
• May cause interference with other IR controlled devices.
