SETTING THE HOOK
Once a fish bites, the "Bite" graphic flashes on the screen. Set the hook by quickly jerking the unit backward. Start reeling him in with the Reel.
The type of fish and weight will scroll across the screen after it is caught.
When you are reeling in a fish, you may need to adjust the drag to prevent the fish from breaking or taking your line.
When a fish is hooked and on the line, tension bars will appear on the screen. If the tension level is very high, you will need to adjust the drag down quickly. Use the LURE DRAG DOWN button to avoid breaking the line. If the tension level is very low, you will need to adjust the drag up. Use the LURE • DRAG UP button to keep the fish from swim­ming away with your line.
NOTE: Make sure you do not press and hold down the LURE • DRAG UP button when the tension level is low, it will re-start the game.

To select a new lure, press the LURE • DRAG UP / DRAG DOWN button again.
NOTE: You cannot select a new lure when a lure is already in the water.
CASTING
To cast your line, press and hold the CAST button and make a quick casting motion with the Bass Fishin’™. Release the CAST button at the end of your casting motion. Once you have cast your line, start reeling it in with the reeling lever. (To pull in the line, press the CAST button again.)
GETTING A BITE
When you get a fish bite, the game will alert you. Don't let this one get away! It's time to set the hook.
NOTE: After removing the game from the package, you need to exit the Demo mode to play.
• Turn the REEL clockwise to exit Demo mode.
BUTTON FUNCTIONS
CAST - Press this button to wake the game. Hold
this button down and use a casting motion to cast the line. Release this button at the end of the casting motion.
RESET - Resets the game at any time during game play.
LURE • DRAG DOWN • BEST CATCH - Use this but­ton to scroll through the Lure selection menu. When there is a lure in the water, use it to adjust the drag down. Hold this button down to see your best catch.
LURE • DRAG UP • NEW GAME - Use this button to scroll through the Lure selection menu. When there is a lure in the water, use it to adjust the drag up. Press and hold this button for three seconds during game play to restart the game.
REEL - Turn clockwise to retrieve cast lures and reel in hooked fish.
STARTING OUT
To start fishing, turn on the unit by pressing the CAST button. You're ready to cast your line and land the big one!
SELECTING A LURE
If there is no lure in the water, you will see the Pick a Lure selection screen. Use the LURE • DRAG UP/DRAG DOWN buttons to advance through the lures. When you have selected a lure,
press the CAST button to confirm your selection. Helpful hint: Make your lure selection based on the
depth of the fish. If the fish are swimming near the top

LANDING THE FISH
When you land a fish, Bass Fishin’™ will display the fish type and weight of your catch.

Hold down the LURE DRAG DOWN • BEST CATCH button to see your current best catch.
SLEEP MODE
Bass Fishin’™ will go to sleep after one minute of non-activity. To wake the game, press the CAST button.

BATTERY INSTALLATION
This game is powered by one (1) 3 volt Lithium cell battery (CR2032).
• Using a screwdriver, loosen the screw until the bat­tery compartment door can be removed.
• Insert one 3 volt button cell battery as indicated inside the battery compartment.
• Replace the battery compartment door and tighten the screw with a screwdriver. Do not over-tighten.
Adult supervision is recommended when changing batteries.
CAUTION
• As with all small batteries, the batteries used with this game should be kept away from small children who might still put things in their mouths. If a battery is swallowed, consult a physician immediately.
• Be sure you insert the battery correctly and always follow the game and battery manufacturer’s instruc­tions.
• Batteries might leak if improperly installed, or explod­ed if recharged, dissembled or heated.
MAINTENANCE
• Handle this game carefully.
• Store this game away from dusty or dirty areas.
• Keep this game away from moisture or temperature extremes.
• Do not disassemble this game. If a problem occurs, press the Reset button or remove and replace the bat­tery to reset the computer, or try new battery. If prob­lems persist, consult your warranty card for replace­ment instructions.
• Only battery of the same or equivalent type as recom­mended are to be used.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-caldmium) batteries.
• Do not use rechargeable battery.
