BATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION

INSTRUCTIONS
Before programming DORA KNOWS YOUR NAME, remove the plastic voice-box from the cardboard and twist ties. You can program the voice-box either before or after you insert it into DORA.
When you insert the voice-box into DORA, make sure the speaker is facing forward.

Once you have inserted the voice-box, tuck the wire securely into the back of DORA. Once the voice box and wire are in place, close the fabric seam fastener in order to secure the voice-box in DORA.
At any time, you can re-open the fabric seam fastener to gain access to the battery compartment, the ON/OFF switch, and the USB port.

Under the environment with electrostatic discharge, the sample may malfunction and memory lose. It requires user to reset the sample.

Personalizing your DORA KNOWS YOUR NAME doll is as simple as three easy steps:
i. INSTALL THE PROGRAM
1. Insert the DORA KNOWS YOUR NAME CD into your CD-ROM drive.
2.
The InstallShield Wizard screen will appear and you will be asked if you want to install. Click NEXT to begin the installation.
3. If the InstallShield Wizard screen does NOT appear, double-click on the MY COMPUTER icon on your desktop. Next, double-click on your CD-ROM icon (usually drive “D”) to open the InstallShield Wizard.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. Installation time may take up to 15 minutes depending on the computer used.
5. Once the installation is complete, you will have a DORA Knows Your Name icon on your desktop. Do NOT remove the Dora Knows Your Name CD from the CD-ROM Drive. If you have already removed the Dora Knows Your Name CD from the CD-ROM drive, please re-insert the CD into the CD-ROM Drive. If the computer asks you to Install or Uninstall the Knows Your Name software, click Cancel.
6. Connect the Dora doll to your computer via the USB cable. One of the following screens will appear:

1. A screen will appear that says Found New Hardware Wizard. Select Yes, this time only and then click Next to continue. On the next screen, select the Install the software automatically (Recommended)

3. Next, a screen will appear that says Completing the Found New Hardware Wizard. Click Finish.
ii. PERSONALIZE YOUR SETTINGS
1. Double-click on the DORA KNOWS YOUR NAME icon on your desktop to start the personalization program. Follow the instructions on the screen to input your information in the following areas:

iii. DOWNLOAD TO THE DOLL
1. Connect your DORA KNOWS YOUR NAME doll to your computer using the USB cable, as shown.
2. Click the download button on the main screen. NOTE: The download button will not appear until you have gone through all the personalization screens.
3. Wait until the download is complete before disconnecting the USB cable from the doll. NOTE: The download can take 2-3 minutes – please be patient. Once the settings are downloaded to the doll, you can disconnect the USB cable.

Your DORA KNOWS YOUR NAME doll is now ready for play!

1. A screen will appear that says Found New Hardware Wizard. Click Next to continue.
2. On the next screen, select the Search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended) box and click Next to continue.
3. On the next screen, make sure the box that says CD-ROM drive is checked and click Next to continue.
4. Next, a screen will appear that says Driver Files Search Results. Click Next to continue.
5. Next, a screen will appear that says Completing the Found New Hardware Wizard. Click Finish.

HOW TO PLAY
• Be sure the ON/OFF switch is in the ON position. The ON/OFF switch is located on the battery box, under the fabric fastener.
• Press Doraʼs tummy to activate phrases, songs, stories and games.
• Your KNOWS YOUR NAME doll will also speak randomly at selected times of the day based on the settings you input.
CHANGING YOUR SETTINGS
1. Reconnect the doll to the computer using the USB cable.
2. Double-click on the KNOWS YOUR NAME icon on your desktop.
You do not need to re-insert the CD-ROM into the disc drive.
3. Follow the instructions on your screen to change any of the settings.
4. Download the new settings to your doll by clicking the download button.
NOTE: For additional instructions, refer to the HELP section on your KNOWS YOUR NAME software.
