Let’s Go!
• Some of the tools on the tool menu are not available for use in some activities. If a tool is not available for use,you will hear a tone.
IMPORTANT! If the tip of the stylus and the image on screen do not align, it’s time to calibrate them! Please refer to page 35, Calibrating the Stylus.
Before inserting the camera cartridge, turn power off! Insert the
camera cartridge into the cartridge port. Turn power back on.

Picture Time!
Take pictures,save them in your scrapbook
(where you can customize them) or watch a picture show!
Choose an activity: Take a Picture, Scrapbook or Picture Show.

Take a Picture
• First, adjust the camera to the lighting conditions.
-Slide the switch to for an indoor picture.
-Slide the switch to for an outdoor picture.

• Now, position your Pixter® unit so that you can see your subject on the screen.
Hint: Make sure the subject isn’t closer than one foot.
• To adjust the contrast of the picture, touch Save It (and Adjust the Contrast) on the tool menu with the stylus.

• Tap the contrast line with the stylus near the moon to darken the image.
• Tap the contrast line with the stylus near the sun to brighten the image.
• Now, touch the screen with the stylus to take your picture.

• Look at how many pictures you have saved!
Hint: you can save up to 10 pictures in the scrapbook.
• If you would like to save the picture in your scrapbook , touch the scrapbook on the screen with the stylus.

• If you’d like to retake the picture or remove a picture from your scrapbook, touch the garbage can on the screen with the stylus.
Garbage Can
• When the scrapbook contains 10 pictures, you’ll see this image on the screen.
• If you take another picture and save it, the new picture will replace the first picture in your scrapbook.

• Touch the arrows on the bottom of the screen with the stylus to scroll through your pictures.

• When you find one that you like, touch your choice on the screen with the stylus.

• To customize your picture,use any of the tools on the tool menu: "Pencil" Tool ;Straight Line ; Shape Maker ; Stamp It! ; Erase It or Special Effects Selector .
Hint: In the Special Effects Selector tool, you’ll find: Frame It,Typist,Filters,Rotator, Color Surprise and Backgrounds! Refer to pages 13-33 for information on how to use these tools.

“Pencil”Tool
Touch for freestyle drawing or writing.
• Use the stylus to add interesting features to your picture.
Hint: If you’d like to save your customized picture, touch the Save It tool on the tool menu.
• Touch the arrows to choose the type of marking. Choose or or or .
• Touch the arrows to choose a color palette. Now, choose a color for your “pencil”tool.
• Touch to save your choices.

Touch to make straight lines.
Straight Line
• Touch the screen with the stylus. Now,drag the stylus on the screen and stop. Look – a straight line!
Hint: If you’d like to save your customized picture, touch the Save It tool on the tool menu.

Shape Maker
Touch to make shapes.
• Touch the screen and drag the stylus to make small or large shapes.

Stamp It!
Touch for stamper art.
Hint: If you’d like to save your customized picture,
touch the Save It tool on the tool menu.
Touch the arrows on the bottom of the screen with the stylus to see each of the stamper designs.
Touch the screen with the stylus to choose a stamper.
Touch the screen to add the stamper to your picture.

Magic Wand Eraser
Touch to make your stylus an eraser or go to special effects!
• Choose eraser , magic effects or undo .
• Touch to save your choice.
If you chose eraser , use your stylus to erase any part of what’s on the screen.
Hint: If you’d like to save your customized picture, touch the Save It tool on the tool menu.

• If you chose magic effects , you first need to add black to your picture. Use the “Pencil”tool, Straight Line Maker or Shape Maker tools to add black to your picture.
If you chose undo , the last thing you did to your picture is gone!

• Use your stylus to “scratch” through the black areas on your picture to reveal the hidden background.
• Now, touch the arrows on the bottom of the screen with the stylus to scroll through background choices.Touch your choice on the screen with the styus.

Full Screen Erase
Touch to choose an animated full screen erase with cool sound effects.
Touch the screen with the stylus to choose the effect.
Watch and listen as your drawing disappears.

• Choose the type of picture show.
- Touch on the screen with the stylus for a slow picture show.

Calibrating the Stylus
Mark on Screen

IMPORTANT!The mark made on your screen from the stylus and
the location of the tip of the stylus may not align.When this happens, you need to calibrate the stylus.

Calibration Hole
• Turn Pixter® power on. Wait until you see the Home Screen.
• Turn Pixter over and locate the calibration hole.
• Insert, push and hold the stylus in the calibration hole.Turn Pixter® over so that you can see the screen.
• When you see two , remove the stylus from the calibration hole.
• First touch the in the upper left corner with the tip of the stylus.
• Then, touch the in the lower right corner with the tip of the stylus.
Hint: After calibrating your screen, the contrast resets to the mid-level. To change the contrast on the screen, touch the Save It! tool.

Care
• Keep water, sand and dirt off of the camera cartridge.
• Keep the camera cartridge away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
• Do not immerse the camera cartridge. Simply wipe the outside of the camera cartridge with a cloth to clean.
• The camera cartridge has no consumer serviceable parts. Please do not take the camera cartridge apart.

Should the product fail to perform properly,we will repair or replace it at our option, free of charge. Purchaser is responsible for shipping the product to Consumer Relations at the address indicated above and for all associated freight and insurance cost. Fisher-Price,Inc. will bear the cost of shipping the repaired or replaced item to you. This warranty is void if the owner repairs or modifies the product.This warranty excludes any liability other than that expressly stated above including but not limited to any incidental or consequential damages.
