Battery Safety Information
Batteries may leak fluids that can cause a chemical burn injury or ruin your toy. To avoid battery leakage:
• Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different types: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium).
• Insert batteries as indicated inside the battery compartment.
• Remove batteries during long periods of non-use. Always remove exhausted batteries from the toy. Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in a fire. The batteries may explode or leak.
• Never short-circuit the battery terminals.
• Use only batteries of the same or equivalent type, as recommended.
• Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
• Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging.
• If removable, rechargeable batteries are used, they are only to be charged under adult supervision.

Please keep small parts such as the plastic tab out
of children’s reach. Throw the plastic tab away.
CAUTION
Note: A plastic tab was attached to the toy for in-store
demonstration purposes. While the tab may have already been removed, check the back of the toy to be sure. If the plastic tab is still attached, open the fasteners on the back of the toy and pull and remove the tab. Close the fasteners and throw the plastic tab away.
Before Use
For best results, we recommend replacing the batteries that came with this toy with three, new “AA” (LR6) alkaline batteries.
• Open the fasteners on the back of the toy to accesss the battery compartment.
• Loosen the screws in the battery compartment door with a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the battery compartment door. Throw the exhausted batteries away.
• Insert three, new AA(LR6) alkaline batteries.
Hint: We recommend using alkaline batteries for longer battery life.
• Replace the battery compartment door and tighten the screws with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not over-tighten.
• Close the fasteners on the toy.
• When sounds or lights from this toy become faint or stop, it’s time for an adult to change the batteries!

Music Mode
•Press the puppy's left foot, right hand, nose or tummy or right ear to hear it identifed followed by a short ditty. Press again to learn a color.
• Press the note button on the puppy's right hand to hear the A-B-C song. Press again to hear another fun song about colors, a counting song or a song about the parts of the body.
• Press the puppy's left foot to hear This Little Puppy Went to Market.Press again to hear a fun phase.
• Press the note button on the puppy's right hand to hear Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes.Press again to hear a fun phase.
• Press the puppy's right ear to hear Do Your Ears Hang Low?Press again to hear a fun phase.
• Press the puppy's left hand to hear Pat-a-Cake.Press again to hear a fun phase.
• Press the puppy's tummy to hear If You're Happy and You Know It.Press again to hear the puppy giggle and bark.
• Press the puppy's nose to hear The Itsy-Bitsy Spider.” Press again for a fun phase.
• Locate the mode select switch on puppy's left foot.
• Press the left foot to turn the toy on and start in learning mode. Press again for music mode. Press once more to turn the toy off.
Hint: If you'd like your child to play with this toy as a regular plush without sounds and lights, there is an On/Off switch located inside the back of the toy. Open the fasteners on the back of the toy, and slide the switch to either
off or on .
