•Some of the tools on the tool menu are not available for use during game play.If a tool is not available for use, you will hear a tone.The Home and the Save It (and Volume Control) tools are always available for use.
IMPORTANT! If the tip of the stylus and the image on screen do not align, it’s time to calibrate them! Please refer to page 69, Calibrating the Stylus.

Before inserting a software cartridge, turn power off! Insert the
software cartridge into the software port. Turn power back on.

•When you find one that you like, touch the screen with the stylus.

Object of the Game: Find your way out of the maze!
•Touch the arrows on the bottom of the screen with the stylus to view eight different mazes.

•Look at the blinking square in the maze. This is the start point.
•Look at the blinking box in the maze. This is the end point.

•Touch the start point with the stylus on the screen. Now,drag it to make a trail through the maze on the screen.

•Continue to drag the stylus through the maze to get to the end point.
Hint: There is no time limit!
•If you hit a dead end, simply retrace your trail (the trail erases as you retrace) with the stylus and try a different direction.
•When you’ve found your way out,
great job!

•Choose another maze!
Hint: If you’d like to go to a different activity, touch Home on the tool menu to return to the Home Screen.

•Begin your custom designed maze. Look at the grid on the screen. Touch any of the flashing dots on the screen with the stylus.

Object of the Game: Design your own maze and then find your way out of it!
•Choose a color from the color palette. Touch your choice on the screen with the stylus.

•Look again at the grid on the screen. Touch any of the flashing dots on the screen with the stylus to create the first part of the path.
•Look at the first part of the path.

•Repeat this procedure to add more parts of the path.
•Touch the smiley face on the screen with the stylus after completing your design.

•Now watch as Pixter® puts in random lines to add twists and turns. Do you remember the path you made?
•Look at the blinking dot and the smiley face in the maze on your screen.The blinking dot is the start point; the smiley face is the end point.

Maze Challenge
Object of the Game: Score as many points as you can as you find your way
out of many mazes! Look for the hidden portals to skip through mazes.

•Touch the start point with the stylus on the screen. Now,drag it to munch the dots on your screen as you go through the maze. Each dot is worth one point.
Hint: Hurry….you have 20 seconds to get to the end point.
•If you have time,enter a sliding door (you’ll get 10 points!).

Sliding Door
•Munch the markings inside the sliding door (by dragging the stylus on the screen) and get out as fast as you can to get to the end of the maze. Each marking is worth 3 points!
•Continue to drag the stylus through the maze to get to the end point.

•If you hit a dead end, simply retrace your trail with the stylus and try a different direction.
Hint: If you hit a dead end, 5 points are taken away.
•When you get to an end point, the screen switches to a new screen. Simply continue on your trail! You have another 20 seconds to complete this next maze.

•If you don’t reach the end point within 20 seconds, you get another try!
Hint: You get three tries!
•As you continue on, watch to enter portals! You get an extra 50 points! You automatically move ahead to another maze.
