INSTRUCTION SHEET

Please keep these instructions for future reference as they contain important information.

HOW TO PLAY

Please remove and discard the “Try Me” pull-tab from the bottom of Elmo’s LEFT foot.

• Be sure the ON/OFF switch is in the ON position. The ON/OFF switch is located on the bottom of Elmo's LEFT foot.

• Press Elmo’s LEFT hand and watch him do the HOKEY POKEY!

BATTERY INSTALLATION

• Never short-circuit the battery terminals.

• Use only batteries of the same or equivalent type,  as recommended.

• Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.

• Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy (product)  before charging.

• If removable, rechargeable batteries are used,  they are only to be charged under adult supervision.

Battery Safety Information

Batteries may leak fluids that can cause a chemical burn injury or ruin your toy (product). To avoid battery leakage:

• Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different types: 

 alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable  (nickel-cadmium).

• Insert batteries as indicated inside the battery compartment.

• Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.

 Always remove exhausted batteries from the toy (product).  Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in a fire.   The batteries may explode or leak.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT:

• Batteries included are for demonstration purposes only.

• If sounds play slowly or distort or the toy begins to operate slowly, replace the batteries as shown.

• Requires (4) “AA” (LR6) Batteries.

• For longer life use only alkaline batteries.

• The battery compartment is located on the bottom of Elmo’s LEFT foot.

• Turn the rotating disc counterclockwise until the two screw holes line up and remove the two screws.

• Remove the third battery compartment screw, located above the rotating disc.

• NOTE: DO NOT REMOVE THE OTHER SCREWS FOUND ON

ELMO’S FOOT.

• Lift the rotating mechanism away from Elmo’s foot.

• Remove and replace the two batteries found in the rotating mechanism.

• Also remove and replace the other two batteries found in Elmo’s foot below the tethered battery partition.

• Once the batteries are replaced, place the rotating mechanism back into Elmo’s foot as shown in the illustration.

• Turn the rotating disc counterclockwise until the two screw holes line up and replace the screws.

• Replace the third battery compartment screw.
