BATTERY INSTALLATION
For detailed information regarding rechargeable battery charging and safety, please refer to “Battery
Charging/Care.”
Vehicle
1. Rotate battery latch to open position. Open battery
door.
2. Insert battery pack into battery compartment as
shown. Make sure battery pack is fully inserted into
battery compartment.
3. Close battery door while pressing the battery pack in
(you’ll be pressing the battery pack against a spring).
Rotate battery latch to locked position.
4. To remove battery pack: turn latch, open battery door
and remove battery pack. The spring will help push
the battery pack out to make it easy to remove.
Transmitter
1. Open battery door as shown.
2. Install one 9V battery with polarity (+/-) as shown
inside battery compartment.
3. Close battery door.
Ä
Your transmitter is equipped with a special
automatic ON battery-saving feature. Just turn your
vehicle ON. Then push either transmitter control to
run and control your vehicle.
AWESOME WHEELIES!
Ä
Make sure your vehicle’s gear selector is in LOW
position: wheelies need plenty of low-gear torque.
(HIGH gear is great for flat-out speed!)
Your vehicle is specially engineered to do wild wheelies
on command:
• First, push the left transmitter control down to drive
your vehicle backward a short distance. Then, quickly
jam the left transmitter control up. Your vehicle will do
a super-cool wheelie!
Ä
Make sure you’re driving on a surface that gives you
some traction – like concrete, asphalt or carpeting.
Smooth surfaces, like tile flooring, aren’t the best for
wheelies.
Ä
Your vehicle will do the best wheelies when the
battery pack is freshly charged. Please refer to
Section V, “Battery Charging/Care.”

BATTERY CHARGING/CARE
X CAUTION: Use only the charger
supplied with this toy. Do not use
any other charging source.
Use only Tyco® R/C 6.0V Jet Turbo®
NiCd battery packs. Other batteries
may leak or rupture, causing
personal injury and damage. Other
batteries may give you shorter
running time.
BATTERY CHARGING/CARE
1. Plug the battery charger into
standard wall outlet.
2. Click the battery pack to the
charger. Make certain the battery
pack is secure in charger.
3. To disconnect, push the red button
on the side of charger and
simultaneously slide battery pack
out.
4. After charging, the battery will
feel warm. This condition is
normal for fully charged batteries.
5. New battery packs must be
charged for 10 hours the first two
times charged. Subsequent
charges will require 6 hours.
Charging the battery pack for
more than 6 hours will not give
you a longer running time. 6 hours
is all that is required for a fully
charged battery pack.
6. Unlike alkaline batteries, which
lose power gradually, a NiCd
(Nickel-Cadmium) battery will run
for its normal running time and
then lose most of its power at
once. It is time to recharge the
battery pack.
7. After use, the battery pack will be
hot! Wait at least 20 minutes until
the battery pack cools before
recharging. Recharging a warm or
hot battery pack will greatly
reduce the number of times your
battery pack can be recharged.
