Philips head screwdriver required - not included.
H. Gently lift the frame sur-
rounding the electronic pad. (The rear of the frame rises only about 1⁄2 inch / 1 centimeter). Remove the protective tissue and release the frame.
IMPORTANT: Always lift and release the frame after turn­ing the truck on. Otherwise, the truck will not operate.
IMPORTANT: This product is not recommended for use on loose dirt or wet surfaces. Do not immerse in water.

I. Draw a path for the truck
to follow by connecting several dots on the elec­tronic pad. Use the truck’s antenna as a stylus. The drawing above shows an example. For suggestions on drawing specific paths, see “Quick Tips,” below.
J. Start the truck moving by
placing the stylus back in its holder. Depending on what you’ve drawn, the truck may turn before moving forward.
K. After the truck has
stopped, erase the previ­ous route by lifting the pad’s frame. Now you’re ready to draw again.
Turn off the truck when you have finished playing. If you forget, the truck will turn itself off after a few minutes of inactivity; however, before you play again, you will have to move the switch to OFF and then back to ON.

Mattel, Inc., warrants to the original consumer purchaser that this product will be free of defects in material and workmanship for ninety (90) days (unless specified in alternate warranties) from the date of purchase. Mattel will repair or replace the product, at our sole option, in the event of such a defect within the warranty period.

If necessary, you will be instructed to return the product, postage prepaid and insured, to the address below. Enclose your name, address, dated sales receipt, and a brief explanation of the defect. Repair or replacement, and return shipment, will be free of charge. Please return only the defective part or unit, packed securely.
This warranty does not cover damage resulting from unauthorized modification, accident, misuse or abuse. If the product is returned without a dated sales receipt the product may be excluded from coverage under this warranty.
Mattels liability for defects in material and workmanship under this warranty shall be limited to repair or replacement, at our sole option, and in no event shall we be responsible for incidental, consequential, or con­tingent damages (except in those states that do not allow this exclusion or limitation). This warranty is exclu­sive, and is made in lieu of any express or implied warranty. Valid only in U.S.A. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights, which vary from state to state. BATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION
a Insure that battery polarity is correct. a Use only batteries of the type recommended (or
equivalent).
a Do not mix old and new batteries. a Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or
rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
a Remove used-up batteries immediately. Remove
batteries if vehicle will not be used for a long period.
a Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries. a Do not short-circuit terminals. a Remove rechargeable batteries before recharging (if
the batteries are designed to be removable).
a Recharge batteries only under adult supervision (if
the batteries are designed to be removable).
a Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batter-
ies (or products containing non-replaceable batter­ies) in fire, as batteries may explode or leak.
Battery Performance Note: For best performance use alkaline batteries (where dis-
posable batteries are called for). If your vehicle is sup­plied with standard (carbon-zinc) batteries for initial use and/or demonstration purposes, we recommend replac­ing them with alkaline batteries when necessary. Battery life may vary depending on battery brand.

Indicate a turn or a “circle” as shown below.
For best results, draw routes as shown in this instruction sheet.
The truck cannot drive in a true curved circle or arc; nor can it drive in reverse.
