Battery Replacement
Battery Compartment Door

• Locate the battery compar tment on the bottom of the toy.
• Loosen the screws in the battery compartment door with a Phillips screwdriver.
• Lift to remove the battery compartment door.
• Insert three “C” (LR14) alkaline batteries as indicated inside the battery compar tment.
Hint: We recommend using alkaline batteries for longer battery life.
• Replace the battery compar tment door and tighten the screws with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not over-tighten.
• When the toy moves slowly or it stops working, it’s time for an adult to replace the batteries!
IMPORTANT!
For best performance, we recommend replacing the batteries that came with this toy with three, new alkaline batteries.

• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not mix different types of batteries: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium).
• Remove the batteries during long periods of non-use. Always remove exhausted batteries from the toy. Batter y leakage and corrosion can damage this toy.Dispose of batteries safely.
• Never short circuit the battery terminals.
• Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
• Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended in the “Battery Replacement” instructions are to be used.
• If removable rechargeable batteries are used, they are only to be charged under adult supervision.
• Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before they are charged.
• If you use a battery charger, it should be examined regularly for damage to the cord, plug, enclosure and other parts. Do not use a damaged battery charger until it has been properly repaired.

This Puppy is Ready to Play
IMPORTANT!
To conserve battery life when your child is not playing with the puppy, we recom­mend that you turn power off .
IMPORTANT!
Some of Baby Rocket’s™ actions are random and will not always repeat.
• After power is turned on, Baby Rocket
pants and moves his eyes. Baby Rocket is ready to play.
• Place the biscuit in Baby Rocket’s mouth. Listen and watch the puppy “eat” the biscuit.
• Pat Baby Rocket on the back.Watch the puppy’s tail wag and hear Baby Rocket speak.
Power Switch
• Locate the power switch on the front of the puppy.
• Slide the switch to to turn power on.
• Slide the switch to to turn power off.

Let’s Take Baby Rocket™For a Walk
Hint
If your child doesn’t play with, Baby Rocket™, the puppy goes to sleep after about two minutes. To turn power back on, simply pat the puppy’s back

• Press the walk button on the leash handle.
Baby Rocket™walks and barks and may even sing a song.
• When you release the walk button, Baby Rocket
stops walking.
• When you take off the leash, Baby Rocket
sounds sad. But, you can walk the puppy again later!
• Store the biscuit on the side of the leash
handle, as shown.
• Locate the socket on the back of the puppy’s collar.Insert the plug end of the leash into the socket.You should feel it “click” in place.
• Baby Rocket™gets very excited about going for a walk.

legs are not in “gear” the dog may not walk properly.To return a leg to position: rotate the leg down until it “clicks”into place.
• Wipe this toy with a clean cloth dampened with a mild soap and water solution. Do not immerse this toy.
