Object of Game
Quickly find the accessory called out, put it on and close the purse before time runs
out. The more accessories you have, the more chances you have to win the ultimate
beauty makeover.
1. Select number of Players
For 2 to 3 players slide “mode” switch to “2 - 3 ”.
For four or more players slide to “4+ ”.
2. Turn Game On
Turn the power switch to ON, “I”.
3. Play
Start game by pressing the play “”
button. When Barbie
®
says “Ready, set,
go!” the player holding the purse will be
prompted to find an accessory, put it on, and then close the purse before time is up. The clock
counts down. The player must have removed the accessory and closed the purse before time
is up. If a player chooses the wrong accessory, they must put it back!
After Barbie
®
says “Pass the purse!” pass it to the next player. Barbie® says “Ready, set, go!”
and the next player is prompted to find an accessory.
If a player runs out of time before closing the purse, the buzzer will sound and the player will
not be able to get an accessory. Barbie
®
will then say “Close the purse and pass it!” and the
game will continue. You will start with less time as the game progresses.
Game will automatically shut off if not played with for a while.
Fashion Emergency!
At any time during the game, a “Fashion Emergency” may be called. The person holding the
purse at that time (or everybody, if so directed) will follow the directions from Barbie
®
. For
example, you may be prompted to give up an accessory, take an accessory from another
player or trade accessories. You have 1 minute to complete the task or game will shut “off”.
You can press play button to continue the game. If the game does shut “off”, return all
accessories to purse and start a new game. After a pause,
Barbie
®
will say “Press the play button!” and play will continue.
The Winner
When the game is completed (about 14 items collected in 2 to 3
players mode or 28 items in 4 or more players mode) Barbie
®
will
call out the winning accessory. The player wearing that particular
accessory is the winner and the Fashion Queen! All players must
place all the accessories on the winner – the Fashion Queen!

Install Batteries
Using Phillips screwdriver

, unscrew door and lift off.
Install 3 “AA” alkaline batteries as
shown. Replace door.
BATTERY SAFETY
INFORMATION:
1. Non-rechargeable batteries
are not to be recharged.
2. Rechargeable batteries are to
be removed from the product before
they are charged.
3. If removable rechargeable batteries are used, they
are only to be charged under adult supervision.
4. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable
(nickel-cadmium) batteries.
5. Do not mix old batteries and new batteries.
6. Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
7. Be sure to insert batteries with the correct polarities and always follow the toy
and battery manufacturers' instructions.
8. Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the product.
9. The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
10. Dispose of batteries safely.
TROUBLE SHOOTING:
1. Replace batteries if sounds become distorted.
2. If the game malfunctions, switch power to off, “0” then to on, “I”.
TWO YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Mattel, Inc. warrants to the original consumer purchaser that this
product will be free of defects in material or workmanship for two
years (unless specified in alternate warranties) from the date of
purchase. If defective, return the product along with proof of the
date of purchase, postage prepaid, to Consumer Adjustment
Center, 15930 E. Valley Boulevard, City of Industry, California
91744 for replacement or refund at our option. This warranty does
not cover damage resulting from unauthorized modification,
accident, misuse, or abuse. Valid only in U.S.A. This warranty
gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights
which vary from state to state.
