For use in preparing large or small, thin, unwrinkled sections of single or multiple pieces of
fresh frozen tissue in military surgical pathology laboratories. The Cryostome FSE Cryostat has the microtome
located outside the cryo-chamber for quick temperature adjustment and safer, easier cryo-chamber decontamination
and cleaning. A simple, intuitive multi-lingual touch screen display provides easy instrument setup, operation and
control of the cryo-chamber and microtome. Peace of mind operation is ensured with a dual compressor system, a
remote alarm to signal system failure, and multi-level security code protection to prevent unauthorized access to
protocols. The 6 position Cryobar has a dedicated refrigeration system, cover, rapid cooling boost to -55 Celcius,
and 3 heat sinks. The Specimen head has X- and Y- orientation with user defined temperature control. The 3 level
foot rest is adjustable for better ergonomics and comfort. A lockable heated window eliminates frost buildup. The
hand wheel may be locked to prevent injury when working around the blade. CFE-Free refrigeration and foam
insulation. An Automated Fumigation Cycle to disinfect the cryochamber and programmable auto-defrost cycle are
standard. "Quick heat" specimen release system is also included.
