Welcome to the Fireside Audiobox community.
What originally began as an inspiration and desire to learn through discovery,
has became a multi-year obsession driven by passion and the need to see
this idea come to life. These latter years were guided by an internal demand
to provide a worthy product and elevated user experience, one that would
match the expectations of you, the future owner. Your participation in this
project began long before you learned about the Fireside Audiobox and it will
continue to guide me through innovations and future design pieces.
Please continue this journey with me by sharing your Fireside Audiobox
experiences, feedback, improvement ideas and of course any concerns. My
involvement in your experience will continue as long as needed for you to get
the most from this exchange.
One final note; please be careful. The safety features in this unit greatly
reduce the potential for harm, but inherent in any combustion reaction is the
risk of fire spreading if not treated with care. Follow the instructions and use
common sense.
This adventure has changed my life. I hope the Fireside Audiobox adds some

WHAT TO DO IF YOU SMELL GAS
• Do not try to light appliance.
• Extinguish any open flame.
• Shut off gas to appliance.
Service must be performed by a qualified service agency.
WARNING: This is an unvented gas-fired portable device. It
uses air (oxygen) from the area in which it is used.
Adequate combustion and ventilation air must be provided.

WARNING: Every time cylinder is connected to unit,
connection must be checked for leaks in one or more ways:
Apply soapy water to connection, look for bubbles, listen for
hiss of escaping gas, feel for extreme cold, smell for rotten
egg odor. Do not use if leaking!
WARNING: Early signs of carbon monoxide poisoning
resemble the flu, with headache, dizziness and/or nausea. If
you have these signs, device may not be working properly.
Get fresh air at once! Have device serviced.
WARNING: If the recreational, residential or commercial
enclosure does not have a window or roof vent, DO NOT
USE THIS HEATER INSIDE.
WARNING: Do not attempt to warm or cook food or drink
on this device, doing so will immediately void the warranty
and could result in severe injury.

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
THIS IS A FUEL BURNING APPLIANCE. DO
NOT OPERATE THIS APPLIANCE WITHOUT
THE GLASS SHIELDS INSTALLED. DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO WARM OR COOK FOOD ON
THIS DEVICE.
• Due to high temperatures, the appliance
should be located out of traffic and away
from combustible materials.
• Children and adults should be alerted to
the hazard of high surface temperatures
and should stay away to avoid burns or
clothing ignition.
• Young children should be carefully
supervised when they are near the
appliance.
• Do not place clothing or other flammable
material on or near the appliance.
• Do not operate appliance in any moving
vehicle.
• This appliance can only be used in a
recreational or commercial enclosure with
a window or roof vent. It may also be used
outdoors.
• This appliance requires a vent area of 18
square inches (example 4 1/4” x 4 1/4”
opening) minimum for adequate ventilation
during operation. Do not use other fuel
burning appliances inside.
• REGULATOR(S) APPLIANCE MUST
ALWAYS BE IN PLACE DURING
OPERATION.
• The appliance should be inspected before
each use. Frequent cleaning may be
required. The internal compartments and
burner of the appliance must be kept clean,
see MAINTENANCE.
• DO NOT use this appliance if any part
has been under water. Immediately call
a qualified service technician to inspect
the heater and to replace any part of the
control system and any gas control, which
has been under water.
• When used without adequate combustion
and ventilation air, this appliance may give
off excessive CARBON MONOXIDE, an
odorless, poisonous gas.
• Some people - pregnant women, persons
with heart or lung disease, anemia, those
under the influence of alcohol, those
at high altitudes - are more affected by
carbon monoxide than others.
• When this device is placed on the ground,
make sure the ground is level and keep any
objects at least 12 inches from the front,
rear and sides of the appliance.

GENERAL INFORMATION
• This appliance is safe for indoor use in
homes and small recreational enclosures,
having means for providing combustion air
and ventilation, such as enclosed porches,
cabins, fishing huts, and trailers.
• Do not move appliance while in use.

OPERATED WITH (1) DISPOSABLE 1 LB.
PROPANE CYLINDER.
Playing Music:
Note: this appliance can be used solely as
a music playing device without a propane
cylinder installed.

IGNITING FLAMES
WARNING: Always inspect propane cylinder
and appliance propane connections for
damage, dirt, and debris before attaching
propane cylinder. Do not use if head
of cylinder is damaged, punctured or
deteriorated.
ALWAYS ATTACH OR DETACH CYLINDER
OUTDOORS AWAY FROM FLAMES, OTHER
IGNITION SOURCES, AND ONLY WHEN
APPLIANCE IS COOL TO TOUCH. NEVER
SMOKE WHEN ATTACHING OR REMOVING
PROPANE CYLINDER!
Install Propane Cylinder:
8. Use only LP-gas cylinders marked
in accordance with the U.S. Dept. of
Transportation (DOT).
9. Use only 16.4 oz. (1 lb.) disposable
cylinders that mate with No. 600 valve
connection.
10. Appliance and attached cylinder must be
in an upright position during operation.
11. CLOSE GAS FLOW VALVE (#4) ON
CONTROL PANEL BY ROTATING IT ALL
THE WAY TO THE RIGHT (CLOCKWISE).
This ensures that gas doesn’t flow
before you are ready to light it.
12. Slide the side panel up to access the
cylinder mounding assembly. Slide
the assembly out of the box for easier
installation.
13. Screw 1 lb. disposable LP-gas supply
cylinder(s) clock- wise (from bottom)
into appliance until hand-tight.
14. Check cylinder connection for leaks with
soapy water at the threaded connection.
Start gas-flow and ignite flames:
15. Press the ELECTRONIC VALVE (#5)
button to open the valve. The button will
glow BLUE to show it is on and open.
16. Light your lighter (we recommend a
long-stem lighter used for fireplaces and
CONNECTING TO AUDIO
Your Fireside Audiobox can be connected to
your music source via Bluetooth or via hardwiring to the AUX port.
Connect via Bluetooth:
1. Turn the unit on by flipping the power
toggle (#1 on page 12) switch up. You
will hear a series of tones to let you
know that device is on. The device
is now searching for a Bluetooth
connection, as indicated by the
FLASHING BLUE LIGHT (#6).
2. On your Bluetooth enabled device, find
“Fireside Audiobox” and initiate the
connection.
3. Once connected, the device will emit
another tone and the indicator light (#6)
will be SOLID BLUE.
4. Volume can be controlled by both
your Bluetooth enabled device, and by
adjusting the Volume Control (#2) on the
Fireside Audiobox control panel.
Connect via hard wiring:
5. Turn the unit on by flipping the power
toggle switch (#1) up. You will hear a
series of tones to let you know that
device is on.
6. Using a 3.5mm auxiliary wire, plug one
end into your device and the other into
the AUX INPUT (#10) port on the back
of the Fireside Audiobox. This will be
indicated by a SOLID GREEN light at the
Bluetooth indicator (#6)
7. Volume can be controlled by adjusting
the Volume Control (#2) on the Fireside
Audiobox control panel.
AUXILIARY INPUT WILL TAKE PRIORITY
OVER BLUETOOTH. IF YOU ARE
CONNECTED VIA THE AUX PORT, THE
FIRESIDE AUDIOBOX WILL NOT CONNECT
WITH A BLUETOOTH DEVICE.

gas barbeques), and hold it above the
holes on the burner.
17. SLOWLY, turn the Gas Flow Valve (#4)
on the control panel counter-clockwise
to allow gas to flow. This may take a few
seconds as the gas first needs to force
the air out of the burner tube until the
exiting concentration of gas is enough
to ignite.
18. Once lit, using the gas flow valve (#4),
adjust the gas flow to get the flames
to be about 1” tall, similar to a birthday
candle flame. Smaller flames can be
blown out more easily, and larger flames
don’t react as well to the music.
Turn flame component off:
19. Press the ELECTRONIC VALVE (#5)
button to close the valve. The button’s
internal blue light should turn off,
indicating that the valve is off and
closed.
20. You should now see the flames slowly
shrink and extinguish.
21. Turn the Ggas Flow Valve (#4) on the
control panel all the way to the right
(clockwise) to close off this secondary
valve.
22. CAUTION: After turning appliance off,
burner and glass guards will remain hot.
Allow to thoroughly cool before moving.
23. Do not operate, store or remove
cylinder(s) near flammable items or
ignition sources.
24. LP-GAS CYLINDERS MUST BE
DISCONNECTED FROM APPLIANCE
WHEN NOT IN USE!
25. Indoor storage of the appliance is
permissible only if the cylinder is
disconnected and removed from the
appliance. Cylinders must be stored
outdoors out of the reach of children and
must not be stored in a building, garage
or any other enclosed area.
Make your Flames Dance!:

Ensure the VOLUME (#2) and FLAME control
(#3) knobs are turned all the way down
(counter-clockwise) before igniting gas.
1st, follow the instruction for IGNITING
FLAMES.
Once the flames are lit, follow the
instructions for connecting and
playing music.
Now that the flames are going and your
music is connected, slowly adjust the
VOLUME to adjust your music to your
desired volume.
Then, slowly adjust the FLAME control (#3)
until the FLAMES BEGIN TO REACT! When
the knob is turned up too high, it will often
blow out the flames. If it is too low, you
won’t see much reaction in the flames. Find
the sweet-spot where you are getting good
response but not blowing out the flames
completely out. Note; you may need to adjust
this control as you change music styles and
even sometimes from one song to the next.
If the flames blow out, turn the FLAME
control (#3) down (counter-clockwise),

CHARGING
Your Fireside Audiobox will come with a
partial charge, but we recommend fully
charging it to get the full experience. Inside
your box you will find a micro-usb cord.
When the battery is low, there will be a
repeating sound alert.
Insert the micro-usb end into the charging
port (#8) on the Fireside Audobox’s back
panel. Connect the other end to a standard
USB port on your computer or common
power adapter.
Property charging will be indicated by a
solid RED light (#7) on the back panel. The
indicating LED will change to solid GREEN
(#7) when the battery is fully charged.
YOU MAY USE THE FIRESIDE AUDIOBOX
WHILE CHARGING.
PHONE CALLS
When your phone is connected to the device
via Bluetooth, you will hear incoming phone
calls through the Fireside Audiobox. To
answer, press the button on the right side
of the unit. There is also a microphone next
to the button. The same button can be used
to answer or hang up calls. After you hang
up, the unit will automatically revert back to
audio via Bluetooth.
BLOW GENTLY ACROSS THE BURNER TO
CLEAR ANY UNBURNED GAS THAT HAS
BEEN EMITTED, then quickly use your
lighter to re-ignite the burner.
ASSEMBLY
Your Fireside Audiobox is completely
assembled except for the glass panels.
To assemble the glass panels;
1) Remove the two glass panels from the
packaging.
THESE ARE EASIEST TO CLEAN WHEN
UN-ASSEMBLED SO YOU MAY WANT TO
CLEAN THEM BEFORE ASSEMBLY WITH
SOME GLASS CLEANER.
2) Remove the 4 Standoffs from the
packaging.
3) Unscrew all 8 screws from the
standoffs.
4) Connect all 4 standoffs to one sheet of
glass by inserting the screw through
the glass panel and screwing it into the
standoff. Hand tighten only.
5) Now set the glass on a soft surface
with the standoffs facing up. Place the
second sheet of glass on top of the
standoffs with the glass holes aligned
with the standoffs.
6) Screw the remaining 4 screws into
the standoffs with the glass panel in
between. Hand tighten only.
7) Gently place the fully assembled glass
panels into the Fireside Audiobox.
Ensure that the glass fits inside the lip
that surrounds the top of the box.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Up-to-date troubleshooting information is
always available at:

1. Gas won’t light
- Check to ensure the cylinder still
has fuel
- Remove and reinstall the cylinder making
sure the threads are properly aligned and
the bottle screws on smoothly
- Check to make sure the unit toggle switch
is on and the unit has power
- Check to make sure the ELECTRONIC
VALVE (#5) turns blue when depressed. If
not, it is not getting power. Recharge the
unit and try again once fully charged
- If the ELECTRONIC VALVE (#5) lights up
blue but then turns off again, this could be
an indication of gas vapor inside the box.
This is usually due to gas that escaped
the system while the bottle was being
threaded onto the regulator. To test, simply
blow a full breath or two of air into the box
while the side is fully open. This should
blow the gas out of the box and away from
the sensor. Test the ELECTRONIC VALVE
(#5) again. Push it to turn it on and see
if the blue light stays on. DO NOT LIGHT
THE DEVICE DURING THIS TEST. If the
light goes off again, there is still gas in
the housing. Try reinstalling the bottle,
and/or check for leaks by applying soapy
water around the connection and looking
for bubbles once installed. If you cannot
get the ELECTRONIC VALVE (#5) to stay
on, contact us for additional support and/
or repair.
2. Bluetooth won’t connect
- Check to ensure another device is not
already connected
- Check to ensure your device’s Bluetooth
capability is enabled.
- Be sure your device is prepared to connect
via Bluetooth, then flip the Fireside
Audiobox toggle switch (#1) OFF then ON
again to restart the Bluetooth searching
process to try to connect again.
- Ensure that your Bluetooth enabled device
is close to the Fireside Audiobox. Though
Bluetooth has an advertised range of 33
feet, the closer the better for establishing
a connection.
- Fully charge the Fireside Audiobox and
your Bluetooth enabled device.
MAINTENANCE
Always keep the burner area clear and free
from combustible materials, gasoline and
other flammable vapors and liquids.
Visually inspect the burner periodically
during use.
It is necessary to periodically check the
burner(s) orifice to make sure they are clear
of insects/nests or spider webs that may
accumulate over time. A clogged tube can
lead to a fire.
1. Allow device to thoroughly cool before
performing any maintenance.
2. Remove disposable 1 lb. cylinder from
appliance.
3. Remove glass guard by lifting it carefully
over the burner.
4. Inspect and clean burner orifices located
along the top of the burner at bottom by
using a vacuum. Clear holes by inserting
a small metal probe. Ensure that you do
not damage the sides of the holes as
this will affect the gas flow and resulting
flame.
5. Clean any marks on the burner with a
non-flammable, all-purpose cleaner and
soft cloth
6. Reinstall glass guard assembly.
