INSTALLER: Leave these instructions with consumer.
CONSUMER: Retain for future reference.
This digital thermometer is for replacement on an Echelon Diamond grill. To install, follow the steps below:
1. Be sure the grill is completely cool and the power to the grill is off.
2. Locate the old thermometer on the grill control panel between the knobs. Remove it from the grill by slightly sliding it to the left, then lifting the right side outward until it clears the control panel.
CAUTION: Remove carefully as the wire harnesses will still
be attached to the back of the thermometer.
3. The wire harnesses will be taped together. CAREFULLY cut the tape.

Important: Take note of the way the harnesses are taped,
as once the new thermometer is connected; the new harnesses will need to be similarly taped.
4. CAREFULLY pull apart the 3 wire harnesses at the connectors, as shown in Fig. 1-1.
5. Connect the new thermometer wire harnesses to the exposed wire harnesses coming out of the grill (see Fig. 1-1).
CAUTION: The wire harnesses must be properly
connected. All 3 wire harnesses have differently sized or shaped connectors to ensure a proper install.
6. Ensure that all the wire harnesses are properly taped using high temperature electrical tape.
7. Carefully install the thermometer into the cutout on the control panel.

OPERATION
Your grill comes with a digital thermometer for temperature monitoring and timed cooking. Pressing any button will turn on the thermometer. The thermometer will automatically shut off after 5 minutes of no temperature detection.
Note: The thermometer also controls the interior lights, and
knob backlights. Thermometer shutdown will not shut off these lights; they must be manually shut off.

Plug in the meat probe on the right side of the control panel as shown in Fig. 2-1.
For best performance and temperature readings center the zone separators properly between each burner.
Read the following sections completely regarding thermometer operation. Refer to Fig. 2-2 for thermometer orientation and button locations.
Prior to initial use; calibrate the thermometer (following page). Whenever the master switch is turned off or the power supply is disconnected, allow 30 seconds for the thermometer to initialize the next time it is powered on.
DEFAULT SCREEN
Press any button to turn the thermometer On. The default
screen will be displayed. All temperatures for the cooking zones and the meat probe will be shown (Fig. 2-3). See next page for options under the default screen.
