Assembly and operating instructions
Please make sure that you read this manual thoroughly BEFORE assembling and using this product.
Do not attempt to disable or modify this heater in any way.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
PLEASE READ THESE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLING AND USING THE HEATER.
The user accepts all risks of installing and using the heater. If the warnings and instructions are not followed in this manual, material damage, serious injury or even death may result. If you do not understand this manual, please contact your dealer.
- Use is only intended for households as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the
manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by unauthorized dealers may cause hazards.
- Do not use the heater in reach of a shower, bath or swimming pool.
- This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations. NEVER install the heater
where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container. To protect against electrical hazards, DO NOT immerse in water or other liquids.
- DO NOT touch the control panel with a wet hand.
- Keep away from children and pets
- Extreme caution is necessary when the heater is used by or near children or the disabled.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Never leave the heater operating and unattended.
- Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children
and vulnerable people are present.
- Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock
or fire, or damage the heater.
- This heater is not equipped with a device to control the room temperature. Do not use this heater in small rooms
when they are occupied by persons not capable of leaving the room on their own, unless constant supervision is provided
- Do not use the heater with a programmer, timer, separate remote-control system or any other device that switches
the heater on automatically, since a fire risk exists if the heater is covered or positioned incorrectly.
- Take good care of the heater. Don’t let the header be a subject to vibrations or shocks.
- These appliances must be supplied with proper voltage and frequency (AC220-240V, 50Hz), and connected to an
individual, properly grounded branch circuit, protected by a circuit breaker which in accordance with wiring rules. Power cord of this appliance must be fastened with the chain; installation can only be carried out by qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
- Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or after the heater malfunctions, has been drooped or damaged in
any manner. Return the heater to an authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair.
- Never unplug the heater by its power cable from the socket.
- Never wrap the power cable around the heater.
- The power cable must always be completely unwound when the heater is to be used.
- Do not run the cord under carpeting. Do not cover the cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange
cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
- This heater may get hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles
when moving this heater.
- Always turn off the unit before moving or cleaning, or whenever the heater is not in use.
- Never move or lift the heater by pulling its power cable.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
- When unpacking check the heater and its components for transport damage and make sure it’s all there.
- Before assembling and using the device, remove protective packaging. Clear away the packing materials
immediately. They can be dangerous for children and animals.
- By assembling the heater consider the safeguard distances as shown in the figure.
- The voltage available must not exceed the voltage stated in the specifications of the patio heater.
- Be careful during assembly. Do not touch live wires.
- Never insert the plug in the socket before the heater is completely assembled and installed.
- Avoid the use of an extension cord because the extension cord may overheat and cause a risk of fire.
- The power cable must never come in contact with the heater or hot parts of the heater. Keep the power cord at a
safe distance.
- The heater shall not be located immediately below a socket-outlet.
- For safety reasons, you must be in a position to pull the plug from the socket immediately in a safe manner.
- Never install the heater on flammable materials like wood. Fire hazard!
- It’s dangerous to install the appliance close to curtains and other combustible materials. Fire hazard!
- Connect to properly grounded outlets only.
- The marking concerning covering shall be visible after the heater has been installed.
SUPPLIED PARTS
- 1 patio heater
- 1 chain
- 1 self tapping hook screw
ASSEMBLY
Attachment to a ceiling
The heater should be assembled to a concrete ceiling. The supplied mounting parts are not suitable for other surfaces.
1. Drill a hole with a diameter of 8 mm in the ceiling.
2. Push the self tapping hook screw in the drilled hole.
3. Tighten the hook firmly.
4. Hang the heater with the chain to the screw. Ensure that the distance between ceiling and the heater is at least 30
cm. The height between the floor and the heater must be at least 1.80 m.
5. Route the power cable alongside the chain to the socket. The power cable must be attached to the chain with a pull
strap, but make sure it does not make contact with the first three links of the chain. The power cable must under no circumstances touch the heater. The heater should not be hung up by the power line.
Attachment to a Gazebo
Make sure the frame of the tent in which the heater is suspended, is sufficiently strong to support the weight of the heater.
1. Hook the chain to the heater.
2. Wind the chain several times around the frame and attach the other end, just like the first, also to the heater. Make
sure that the distance between the point of suspension and the heater is at least 30 cm. The height between the floor and the heater must be at least 1.80 m.
3. Make sure the heater hangs securely.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
- Do a visual check of the patio heater, power cable and accessories before every use! If you notice damage, do not
use the heater but contact your dealer.
- CAUTION: Risk of Electric Shock. Do not open or try to repair the heater yourself.
- Never use the heater as a dryer or to heat a sauna.
- Never use the heater for heating of premises where animals stay.
- Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, paper, clothes, and curtains at least 3ft from the
front of the heater and keep them away from the sides, top, and rear. Do not place towels or other objects on the heater.
- A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use in areas where gasoline, paint, explosive and/or
flammable liquids are used or stored. Keep unit away from heated surfaces and open flames.
TURNING THE PATIO HEATER ON AND OFF
1. Insert the plug into the socket.
2. To turn on the heater pull the cord.
3. To turn off the heater pull on the cord again.
- After using the heater, it always must be turned off with the button, the cord or the remote control and the power
plug must be pulled out of the socket.
- Allow the heater to cool completely before moving and storage.
- Never use the heater when there are bad weather conditions like rain, snow, hail, or a thunderstorm.
- Pay attention that, no combustible material due to wind or other environmental influences covers or obstructs the
appliance, such as curtains, marquees, flags, plastic foil etc.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- In an environment with salty air such as at the seaside, corrosion occurs earlier than usual. Check the heater
regularly on corroding parts and have those parts repaired immediately.
- Always turn off the circuit breaker and let the unit cool completely before maintenance.
- To keep the heater clean, the outer shell may be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth. You may use a mild
detergent if necessary. After cleaning, dry the unit with a soft cloth.
- Do not use alcohol, gasoline, abrasive powders, furniture polish, or rough brushes to clean the heater.
- Although this heater is outdoor approved (balconies and patios), do not immerse the heater in water for your
safety. Wait until the unit is completely dry before use.
WARRANTY
If the heater will not operate, please check the following before seeking repair of service: Check if electricity to the main fuse is working. Make certain that the power switch is turned on. If not, choose a setting.
The warranty expires immediately in the following cases:
- Failure to comply with the requirements listed in this manual;
- When the user causes changes to the heater including all components, the power cable or the included
accessories;
- When poor maintenance, negligence or abnormal use.
