1 Zweckbestimmung
Die Prothesenkunststoffe sind für die Anfertigung von Schienen, Teilprothesen, Vollprothesen und Modellprothesen vorgesehen.
2 Produktbeschreibung und Anwender
2.2 Anwender Die Prothesenkunststoffe werden im Labor von einem Zahntechniker verwendet.
3 Zusammensetzung
• Pulver: Perlpolymerisat aus Polymethyl- methacrylat (PMMA), Pigmente, Initiatoren
• Flüssigkeit: Methylmethacrylat, 1,4-Butandioldimethacrylat, Initiatoren, Stabilisatoren
• FINOHIT COLDBASE ist cadmiumfrei.
4 Indikationen
• Zur Herstellung von partiellen und totalen Prothesen im Fließverfahren
• Reparaturen, Erweiterungen und Unterfütterungen von bestehenden Restaurationen im Fließverfahren
• Zur Herstellung von Schienen:
- Aufbiss-Schienen
- Reex-/Knirscher-Schienen
5 Kontraindikationen
• Bei bekannter Allergie gegen eine der Komponenten nicht verwenden.
6 Gefahrenhinweise

8 Wechselwirkungen mit anderen Mitteln
Allgemein bekannte Kreuzreaktionen oder Wechselwirkungen des Medizinprodukts

Werkstoffen müssen vom Zahnarzt bei Verwendung berücksichtigt werden.
9 Anwendung / Verarbeitung
9.1 Mischungsverhältnis
• 10 Gewichtsteile Pulver, 7 Gewichtsteile Flüssigkeit.
• Auf Wunsch können Adern eingelegt werden.
• Bitte separate Herstellerangaben beachten.
9.2 Herstellung von partiellen und totalen
Prothesen, sowie Implantat getragenen Arbeiten und Modellguss- komplettierungen im Fließverfahren
9.2.1 Vorbereitende Arbeiten
Gipsmodell und Wachsaufstellung der Zähne wie gewohnt herstellen. Die in Wachs aufgestellten Konfektionszähne
werden durch Gips oder Silikon xiert (Vorwall / Küvette). Anschließend wird das
Wachs wie gewohnt ausgebrüht. Um ein Herausbrechen der Kunststoffzähne zu vermeiden, müssen diese angeraut, mit Unterschnitten versehen und mit Monomer- oder einem geeignetem Bonder benetzt werden.
Die Oberächen der Gipsmodelle werden mit
einer Alginatisolierung nach Herstelleranga- ben isoliert.
9.2.2 Herstellung im Fließverfahren Pulver und Flüssigkeit (gemäß Mischungs- verhältnis) mischen und nach einer Anquellzeit von ca. 15 Sekunden homogen durchspateln. Kunststoffteig wie gewohnt in die Form einfüllen. FINOHIT COLDBASE ist nach Anmischen bei einer Raumtemperatur von 21°C ca. 2Minuten gießbar, nach 3 Minuten geht er in die plastische Phase über.
Nach Beginn der plastischen Phase ießt der
Kunststoff nicht mehr aus dem Vorwall heraus und ist modellierbar.
Nach spätestens 5 Minuten muss die Arbeit in den Drucktopf gegeben werden. Die Polymerisationszeit beträgt in einem Druckpolymerisationsgerät 15 min., bei einem Druck von 2–5 bar und einer Wassertemperatur von 45 °C.
Bei Verwendung der FINOHIT COLDBASE LF Flüssigkeit ist der Kunststoff ca. 3 Minuten gießbar, nach 4 Minuten geht er in die plastische Phase über, nach spätestens 6–7 Minuten muss die Arbeit in den Drucktopf gegeben werden. Die Polymerisationszeit beträgt in einem Druckpolymerisationsgerät 15 min., bei einem Druck von 2–5 bar und einer Wassertemperatur von 45 °C.

BEI BERÜHRUNG MIT DER HAUT (oder dem Haar): Alle kontaminierten Kleidungsstücke sofort ausziehen. Haut mit Wasser abwaschen [oder duschen].

9.3 Herstellung von Schienen
9.3.1 Vorbereitende Arbeiten Eins Gipsmodells Herstellen und mit geeigneten Materialien ausblocken. Die Schiene in Wachs wie gewünscht ausmodellieren. Anschließend eine Abformung herstellen, mit Fließkanälen versehen und das Wachs entfernen.
Die Oberäche des Gipsmodells mit
geeigneten Materialien nach Herstelleranga­ben isolieren.
9.3.2 Verarbeitung Pulver und Flüssigkeit (gemäß Mischungs­verhältnis) mischen und nach einer Anquellzeit von ca. 15 Sekunden homogen durchspateln. Kunststoff wie gewohnt in die Form einfüllen.
Diese Arbeitsschritte müssen spätestens nach 6 Minuten abgeschlossen sein. Die Polymerisationszeit beträgt in einem Druckpolymerisationsgerät 15 min., bei einem Druck von 2 – 5 bar und einer Wassertemperatur von 45 °C.
9.4 Ausarbeiten des Materials
Nach der Polymerisation wird die Schiene vom Modell gehoben und mit geeigneten Instrumenten ausgearbeitet Zum Ausarbeiten eignen sich Siliconpolierer (Rad, Linse, Walze) sowie Hartmetallfräser oder Diamantschleifkörper. Die Vorpolitur erfolgt mit Sandpapier oder Bimsstein. Die Polymerisationszeit beträgt in einem Druckpolymerisationsgerät 15 min., bei einem Druck von 2 – 5 bar und einer Wassertemperatur von 45 °C.
9.5 Polieren
Das Material wird mit Ziegenhaarbürsten, Polierpaste sowie weichen Wollrädern poliert.
Eine sorgfältige Oberächenbearbeitung und
Politur ist Voraussetzung für ein optimales Ergebnis
9.6 Reparaturen
Ein Modell oder einen Vorwall erstellen, falls erforderlich.
Die zu reparierenden Kunststoffächen
säubern, aufrauen und die Kanten glätten und mit Monomer oder einem geeignetem Bonder benetzen. Kunststoff gemäß Mischungsverhältnis anmischen und einlaufen lassen. Die Polymerisationszeit beträgt in einem Druckpolymerisationsgerät 15 min., bei einem Druck von 2 – 5 bar und einer Wassertemperatur von 45 °C
10 Hinweise zur Verarbeitung
Bei Abweichungen von 21°C Raum­temperatur: Höhere Temperaturen verkürzen, niedrigere Temperaturen verlängern die o. g. Zeiten. Wir empfehlen zur weiteren Reduzierung des Risikos von Unverträglichkeitsreaktionen, die Prothese vor dem Einsetzen für mindestens 12 Stunden in lauwarmem Wasser zu lagern.

1 Intended purpose
Denture base materials are intended for the fabrication of splints, partial dentures, full dentures and model dentures.
2 Description of product and users
2.1 Description of product FINOHIT COLDBASE is a cold-curing meth- ylmethacrylate-based denture acrylic used in various processes to fabricate dentures. It is available in various colours, allowing perfect mimicking of form and colour.
2.2 Users Denture base materials are used by laborato- ry technicians in a dental laboratory.
3 Composition
• Powder: Pearl polymerisate made from polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) pigments, initiators
• Liquid: Methyl methacrylate, tetramethyl- ene dimethacrylate, initiators, stabilisers
• FINOHIT COLDBASE is cadmium-free.
4 Indications
• For the fabrication of partial and full
dentures using the ow technique.
• Repairs, extensions and relinings of exist-
ing restorations using the ow technique.
• For the production of splints:

5 Contraindications
• Do not use in the case of a known allergy to one of the components.
6 Warnings
• Liquid: Contains methyl methacrylate, tetramethylene dimethacrylate.
• Hazard. Liquid and vapour readily inam- mable. Causes skin irritation. May cause allergic skin reactions. May irritate airways.
• Powder: Contains benzoyl peroxide. May cause allergic skin reactions.
7 Safety instructions
• Liquid: Keep away from heat/sparks/open
ames/hot surfaces. No smoking. Use
explosion-proof electrical/ventilating/light-
ing/equipment. IF ON SKIN (or hair): Take
off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower.
• Avoid inhaling vapour/aerosol. Wear protective gloves / protective clothing / eye protection / face shield. If skin irritation or rash occurs: Consult a doctor / seek medical attention.
8 Interactions with other medicinal products
The dentist should consider known inter- actions and cross-reactions of the medical product with other materials already in the patient's mouth before using the product.
9 Application / Preparation
• Processing times: 1-3 minutes, depending on lighting conditions.
9.1 Mixing ratio
• 10 parts by weight powder, 7 parts by
weight liquid.
• Veins can be included, if desired.
• Please observe separate manufacturer’s
instructions.
9.2 Production of partial and full dentures as well as implant-borne appliances and model casting completions using
the ow techniques
9.2.1 Preparatory work
Produce the plaster cast and wax-up of the teeth as usual.
The fabricated tooth set in wax is secured
with plaster or silicone (matrix/ask).
The wax is then eliminated as usual.
To prevent articial teeth from breaking off,
they must be roughened, have undercuts made, and be wetted with monomer or a suitable bonder.
The surfaces of the plaster models are separated with an alginate separating agent according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
9.2.2 Production using the ow technique
Mix powder and liquid (according to the
mixing ratio) and after allowing it to thicken for approx. 15 seconds, stir with a spatula until a homogeneous mixture is formed.
Fill acrylic dough into the mould as usual.
After mixing, FINOHIT COLDBASE is pourable for approx. 2 minutes at a room temperature of 21°C; after 3 minutes, it transitions into the plastic phase.
After the start of the plastic phase, the acrylic
no longer ows out of the matrix and it can
be modelled.
The dental appliance must be placed in the pressure vessel after no more than 5 minutes.
The polymerisation time in a pressure polym- erisation device is 15 min., at a pressure of 2 - 5 bar and a water temperature of 45°C.
If FINOHIT COLDBASE LF liquid is used,
the acrylic is pourable for approx. 3 minutes; after 4 minutes, it transitions into the plastic phase, and after no more than 6-7 minutes, the dental appliance must be placed in the pressure vessel.

from the model and nished using suitable

Silicone polishers (square-edge or knife-
edge wheels or cylinders), tungsten carbide burrs and diamond instruments are suitable

Create a model or a matrix, if necessary. Clean and roughen the acrylic surfaces to be repaired, smooth the edges and wet with monomer or a suitable bonder. 10 Notes on processing
In the event of deviations from 21°C room temperature: Higher temperatures shorten, and lower temperatures prolong the above times. To further reduce the risk of intoler­ance reactions, we recommend placing the denture in lukewarm water for at least 12 hours prior to insertion.

14 Warnings on side effects
With proper preparation and use of this me­dical product, adverse effects are extremely rare. Immune reactions (such as allergies) or local discomfort, however, cannot be ruled out completely.
