Important Safety Instructions
Read All Instructions Before Using
All the safety and operating instructions should be
read, adhered to and followed before the unit is operated.
Warning
1. This unit is designed to be used solely with a 12volt DC automobile power system.
2. This product contains an LED lit “on indicator” with
high and low brightness settings. For driving safety, we suggest using the low brightness setting at
night.
3. Keep the remote emitter cord away from any vehicle parts that may get tangled.
4. Do not immerse unit in liquids or allow liquids to
enter unit.
5. Do not allow children to play with the unit or any
plastic bags that accompany this unit. Plastic bags
may present a hazard to young children.
6. Do not use attachments not recommended by
FilterStream.

7. Never operate this unit if it is not working properly,
if it has been dropped or damaged or dropped
into water.
8. Never drop or insert objects into any openings.
9. Do not operate where aerosol units are being used
or where oxygen is being administered. Do not operate this unit in oxygen rich environments.
10. Keep away from gas-powered stoves and ovens,
and do not operate this unit in areas where fl am-
mable or combustible units or vapors may be present.
11. Do not perform any servicing on the unit.
12. Do not try to disassemble unit. High voltage inside.
Health Caution
1. Pacemaker patients and people with a history
of respiratory problems or heart or lung disease
should consult a physician prior to using this product.
2. The ionic technology used by this unit produces
extremely low amounts of ozone as a by-product
and complies with U.S. government limits for acceptable levels of ozone (less than 50 parts per
billion of air circulated by the unit).

Operation
1. Insert the Power Socket Plug into your vehicle’s
power/cigarette lighter socket. You can use your
unit with only the Base Ion Emitter or with the
Remote Ion Emitter attached (please see below
description).
2. Press the Power Button
will indicate that your unit is cleaning the air.
3. Adjust the Power Socket Plug to the best angle
for convenient use in your vehicle.
Note: For best performance, point the Base Ion
Emitter in the direction that you want air cleaning
ions to fl ow.
4. To turn off the unit, press the Power Button
again.
Note: If you turn your vehicle off while AirTamer®
is “on”, the unit will turn “on” when you restart your
vehicle.

Your unit includes our exclusive Remote Ion Emitter
that clips to one of your heat/air circulation vents. By
using the built-in air circulation of your vehicle, your
AirTamer® is able to signifi cantly boost negative ion
circulation and improve air cleaning performance.
To Use The Remote Ion Emitter:
1. Turn unit off.
2. Insert the round and fl at
end (A) of the Remote
Ion Emitter into the
Remote Ion Emitter
Jack.
3. Clip the brush end (B) of
the Remote Ion Emitter
to your vehicle’s vent so
the brush end points in
the direction that you
want air cleaning ions to
fl ow.

4. Press the Power Button
to turn the unit on.
Ions will then fl ow from the Remote Ion Emitter
in addition to the Base Ion Emitter giving you two
sources of air cleaning ions.
Note: The Remote Ion Emitter cord is 16” long.

Ground Fault Interruption (GFI):
Whenever your body or another grounded object
(e.g. a gear shift) comes close to either one of the Ion
Emitters , the built-in protection circuit will temporarily stop the fl ow of ions. When your body or grounded
object is moved away, the ion fl ow will resume. The On
Indicator will stay on while this occurs.
Cleaning Exterior Of Unit:
1. Turn unit off.
2. Remove unit from power socket.
3. Gently wipe the exterior with a soft cloth moistened with warm water or mild detergents only. Do
not use harsh solvents or chemicals for cleaning.
4. Remove all moisture with a soft, dry cloth.
5. Allow the exterior to dry completely before reinserting the unit into the power socket and turning
the unit on.

Questions & Answers:
Q: How does my AirTamer® work?
A: Your AirTamer® Auto Ionic Air Purifi er uses a car-
bon fi ber brush system to emit healthy negative
ions into your vehicle’s cabin air. The emitted nega-
tive ions attach themselves to allergens and other
air pollutants and negatively charge them. The
negatively charged particles, all being the same
polarity, repel each other and fl y away from your
breathing space and get attracted by the closest
positively charged surface (e.g. car seat, fl oor, dash,
etc.) rather than entering your respiratory system.
Q: What is the unit’s effective range?
A: AirTamer® effectively cleans up to 100 cubic feet of
air when using the Remote Ion Emitter on a vent.
A typical automobile’s cabin is around 100 cubic
feet, so AirTamer® is an ideal auto air cleaner.
Q: What are negative ions? Are they good for you?
A: Negative ions (air molecules with extra electrons)
are electrically charged particles in the air that
remove airborne contaminates and have been
shown to have a rejuvenating effect upon our
bodies. The best natural generator of negative
ions is lightning, followed by ocean surf, waterfalls,

mountains and forests. In clean, natural air, you’ll
fi nd the highest concentrations of negative ions.
In polluted cities and confi ned spaces, like offi ces,
you’ll fi nd the highest concentrations of unhealth-
ier positive ions.
Q: Does AirTamer® produce dangerous levels of
ozone?
A: No. AirTamer® produces extremely low amounts of
ozone and complies with U.S. government limits
for acceptable levels of ozone (less than 50 parts
per billion of air circulated by the unit).
Q: Can I leave my AirTamer® on continuously?
A: Yes. Your AirTamer® has no moving parts and uses
a very small amount of battery power, so it can be
used continuously on long rides.
Q: Will AirTamer® interfere with electronic equip-
ment (e.g. cell phones, radios, GPS systems, etc.)?
A: No. AirTamer® meets FCC regulations for prevent-
ing interference with radio communications. You
may use your AirTamer® near your cell phone, ra-
dio, etc. without causing interference . Pacemaker
patients should fi rst consult with their physician
before use.

1 Year Limited Warranty
FilterStream Company warrants that this product is
free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase.
If the product fails to operate in accordance with our
specifi cation’s, simply return the product to the re-
tailer where you purchased it or contact FilterStream
customer service at service@fi lterstream.com or call
1-866-625-3218 to obtain a return authorization number (RA#). Once you have been issued a return authorization number, please return the defective product
to us and we will, at our option, repair or replace the
product and ship it back to you via postal mail or UPS
at no charge.
This warranty does not cover damage resulting from
accident, misuse or abuse, lack of reasonable care,
the affi xing of any attachment not provided with the
product, or loss of parts, or subjecting the product to
anything but the specifi ed voltage or batteries.
