ENGAGER BOOST
Thanks for purchasing the Engager Boost — a boost pedal with onboard EQ capabilities. Designed to fit anywhere in an instrument’s signal path, the Engager can be used as a clean boost, equalizer, or a combination of the two. The Frequency Switch toggles between two different midrange frequencies to find the sweet spot in your instrument’s mids.
DESIGNED IN CALIFORNIA, U.S.A.
Level
This control adjusts your output level when the boost is engaged (up to +20dB).
Bass
This controls the pedal’s low-frequency response. Dial in the right amount of low end punch (+/- 12dB) or leave the control at 12 o’clock to keep your bass frequencies untouched.
Treble
This controls the pedal’s high-frequency response. Add some sparkle to your signal or mellow out your instrument’s top end (+/- 12dB).
Middle
This controls the pedal’s midrange response. Boost or cut your mids to taste (+/- 12dB).
Frequency Switch
This switch sets the mid frequency affected by the Middle control at 400Hz (down) or 800Hz (up).
Jewel Indicator
The Jewel Indicator shows when the Boost effect is active.
Footswitch
This rugged footswitch bypasses the boost.
Input Jack
This is a high-impedance input suitable for electric guitar, bass, keyboards and other instruments.
Output Jack
This is a low-impedance output jack that connects to the amp or to the next effect pedal in the signal chain.
Bypass Select Switch
This slider selects between true bypass and buffered bypass. In the buffered setting, the signal goes through an active buffer stage that provides low-impedance output for driving long cables and multiple effects.
DC Power Connector
This is a standard, center-negative 9VDC jack for use with appropriate power supplies.
LED Kill Switch
This switch extinguishes the LEDs that illuminate the knobs—useful in maximizing battery life when running the pedal from batteries.
Low Battery Indicator
This red LED on the front of the battery door illuminates when battery voltage drops below a set threshold, indicating that the battery should be replaced soon.
