Health Hazard Data
Eyes – Isopropyl is an eye irritant. In case of contact, immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at
least 15 minutes. Call a physician.
Skin- Not a corrosive or irritant after single contact; however, repeated liquid contact can cause defacing
of the skin resulting in irritation. This material is poorly absorbed through the skin. In case of contact,
flush with water. Get medical attention if irritation is persistent.
Ingestion – Although oral toxicity is low, ingestion of the liquid is to be avoided. No specific intervention
is indicated, as the material is not likely to be hazardous by ingestion. Do not induce vomiting, as the
hazard of aspirating the material into the lungs is a greater hazard than allowing it to progress through
the intestinal tract.

Stability – Material is stable. However, avoid open flames and high temperatures.
Incompatibility (Materials to Avoid) – Alkali or alkaline earth metals – powered AL, ZN, BE, etc. The
components of these blends can decompose by high temperatures (open flames, glowing metal
surface, etc.) forming hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acids and possible carbonyl halides.
Hazardous polymerization – Will not occur.
Conditions to avoid – (1) Keep out of reach of children. (2) Avoid inhaling, ingesting and getting close to
eyes and skin. (3) Avoid heat, flame, and other sources of ignition
.
