für die Zukunft auf.
Verwenden Sie dieses Elektrowerkzeug nicht,
bevor Sie diese Gebrauchsanleitung sowie die bei-
liegenden „Allgemeinen Sicherheitshinweise“
(Schriftennummer 3 41 30 054 06 1) gründlich gelesen
und vollständig verstanden haben. Bewahren Sie die
genannten Unterlagen zum späteren Gebrauch auf und
überreichen Sie diese bei einer Weitergabe oder Veräußerung des Elektrowerkzeugs.
Beachten Sie ebenso die einschlägigen nationalen
Arbeitsschutzbestimmungen.
Spezielle Sicherheitshinweise.
Benutzen Sie Schutzausrüstung. Benutzen Sie je nach
Anwendung Gesichtschutz oder Schutzbrille. Benutzen Sie
einen Gehörschutz. Die Schutzbrille muss sich eignen, die
bei unterschiedlichen Arbeiten weggeschleuderten Partikel abzuwehren. Eine dauerhaft hohe Lärmbelastung
kann zu Gehörverlust führen.
Benutzen Sie Schutzhandschuhe. Heiße und scharfe Späne
können zu Verletzungen führen.
Halten Sie Schneidwerkzeuge scharf und sauber. Sorgfältig
gepflegte Schneidwerkzeuge mit scharfen Schneidkanten
verklemmen sich weniger und sind leichter zu führen.
Sichern Sie das Werkstück. Ein mit einer Spannvorrichtung gehaltenes Werkstück ist sicherer gehalten als in
Ihrer Hand.
Es ist verboten Schilder und Zeichen auf das Elektrowerkzeug zu schrauben oder zu nieten. Eine beschädigte Isolie-
rung bietet keinen Schutz gegen elektrischen Schlag.
Verwenden Sie Klebeschilder.
Verwenden Sie kein Zubehör, das nicht speziell vom Elektrowerkzeughersteller entwickelt oder freigegeben wurde.
Sicherer Betrieb ist nicht alleine dadurch gegeben, dass
ein Zubehör auf Ihr Elektrowerkzeug passt.
Reinigen Sie regelmäßig die Lüftungsöffnungen des Elektrowerkzeugs mit nichtmetallischen Werkzeugen. Das Motor-
gebläse zieht Staub in das Gehäuse. Dies kann bei
übermäßiger Ansammlung von Metallstaub elektrische
Gefährdungen verursachen.
Prüfen Sie vor der Inbetriebnahme die Netzanschlussleitung
und den Netzstecker auf Beschädigungen.

Anweisungen. Versäumnisse bei der
Einhaltung der Sicherheitshinweise
Bestimmung des Elektrowerkzeugs:
handgeführte Schlitzschere für gewerblichen Einsatz mit
den von FEIN zugelassenen Einsatzwerkzeugen und
Zubehör in wettergeschützter Umgebung zum Schneiden von Blechen, für Ausschnitte und enge Kurven.
Bedienungshinweise.
Führen Sie das Elektrowerkzeug nur eingeschaltet
gegen das Werkstück.
Führen Sie das Elektrowerkzeug gleichmäßig und mit
leichtem Schub in Schnittrichtung. Zu starker Vorschub
verringert die Standzeit der Einsatzwerkzeuge erheblich.
BSS 1.6 C: Ziehen Sie bei Einschnitten das Elektrowerkzeug bei laufendem Motor vom Span ab. Schneiden Sie
längere Späne ab.
Schneiden Sie Bleche nicht an Schweißstellen. Schneiden
Sie keine mehrlagigen Bleche, welche die maximale
Werkstoffdicke überschreiten.
Zur Erhöhung der Standzeit der Messer wird empfohlen
entlang der geplanten Schnittlinie ein Gleitmittel aufzutragen:
– für Schnitte in Stahlblech: Schneidpaste oder
Schneidöl,
– für Schnitte in Aluminium: Petroleum.
Zum Schneiden eines Innenausschnitts ist eine Vorboh-
rung notwendig, Durchmesser siehe Technische Daten.
Schalten Sie das Elektrowerkzeug erst aus, nachdem Sie
es aus der Schnittspur gezogen haben.
Das Anzeichen für abgenutzte Messer ist eine deutlich
gestiegene notwendige Vorschubkraft bei geringerem
Arbeitsfortschritt.
BSS 1.6, BSS 1.6 C: Messer und Schneidbacken sind nicht
nachschleifbar.
BSS 2.0: Messer und Schneidbacken können nachgeschliffen werden.
BSS 2.0: Zum stationären Betrieb spannen Sie das Elektrowerkzeug in einen Schraubstock mit Schutzbacken
aus Aluminium oder Kunststoff. Ziehen Sie den Schraubstock angemessen fest, so dass das Einsatzwerkzeug fest
gehalten und nicht beschädigt wird.
Instandhaltung und Kundendienst.
Blasen Sie regelmäßig von außen durch die
Lüftungsöffnungen den Innenraum des Elektrowerkzeugs mit trockener Druckluft aus.
Überprüfen Sie stündlich das Einsatzwerkzeug auf Verschleiß.
Wenn die Anschlussleitung des Elektrowerkzeugs
beschädigt ist, muss sie durch eine speziell vorgerichtete
Anschlussleitung ersetzt werden, die über den FEINKundendienst erhältlich ist.
Folgende Teile können Sie bei Bedarf selbst austauschen:
Einsatzwerkzeuge, Schneidbacken
Gewährleistung und Garantie.
Die Gewährleistung auf das Erzeugnis gilt gemäß den
gesetzlichen Regelungen im Lande des Inverkehrbringens. Darüber hinaus leistet FEIN Garantie entsprechend
der FEIN-Hersteller-Garantieerklärung.
Im Lieferumfang Ihres Elektrowerkzeugs kann auch nur
ein Teil des in dieser Gebrauchsanleitung beschriebenen
oder abgebildeten Zubehörs enthalten sein.

Instruction Manual and the enclosed “General
Safety Instructions” (document number
3 41 30 054 06 1). The documents mentioned should be
kept for later use and enclosed with the power tool,
should it be passed on or sold.
Please also observe the relevant national industrial safety
regulations.
Special safety instructions.
Wear personal protective equipment. Depending on the
application, use a face shield, safety goggles or safety
glasses. Wear ear protection. The safety glasses must be
capable of protecting against flying particles generated by
the various different operations. Prolonged exposure to
high intensity noise may cause loss of hearing.
Wear protective gloves. Hot and sharp chips/swarf can
lead to injuries.
Keep the cutting tools sharp and clean. Cutting tools with
sharp cutters that have been carefully looked after are
less likely to jam and are easier to guide.
Secure the workpiece firmly. A work piece that is gripped
tightly in a clamping device or vice, is more secure than if
held by hand.
Do not rivet or screw any name-plates or signs onto the
power tool. If the insulation is damaged, protection against
an electric shock will be ineffective. Adhesive labels are
recommended.
Do not use accessories which are not specifically designed
and recommended by the power tool manufacturer. Safe
operation is not ensured merely because an accessory fits
your power tool.
Clean the ventilation openings on the power tool at regular
intervals using non-metal tools. The blower of the motor
draws dust into the housing. An excessive accumulation
of metallic dust can cause an electrical hazard.
Before putting into operation, check the mains connection
and the mains plug for damage.
Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings
and instructions may result in electric
Intended use of the power tool:
hand-guided slitting shears for commercial use for cutting
sheet metal, cut-outs and tight curves in weather-protected environments using the application tools and
accessories recommended by FEIN.
Operating instructions.
Guide the power tool toward the work piece only
when switched on.
Guide the power tool uniformly and with light feed in the
cutting direction. Excessive feed reduces the tool life of
the application tools.

BSS 1.6 C: For cut-outs, pull the power tool from the chip
while the motor is running. Cut long chips off.
Do not cut steel sheets where welded. Do not cut layered sheets exceeding the max. work-piece thickness.
To increase the tool life of the blades, it is recommended
to apply a lubricating agent alongside the intended cutting
line:
– for cuts in steel sheet: cutting paste or cutting oil,
– for cuts in aluminium: Petroleum.
For inside cuts, a pilot hole is required; see technical data
for diameters.
Do not switch the power tool off until after having
removed it from the cutting path.
The symptom for worn blades is a clearly increased feed
force at lower working progress.
BSS 1.6, BSS 1.6 C: Punch and cutting bars cannot be
reground.
BSS 2.0: Punch and cutting bars can be reground.
BSS 2.0: For stationary operation, clamp the power tool
in a vice using aluminum or plastic protection jaws.
Tighten the vice adequately so that the application tool is
clamped firmly yet not damaged.
Repair and customer service.
Blow out the interior of the power tool at
regular intervals from outside through the air
vents with dry, compressed air.
Check the application tool for wear every hour.
If the supply cord of this power tool is damaged it must
be replaced by a specially prepared cord available
through the FEIN customer service centre.
If required, you can change the following parts yourself:
Application tools, Cutting bars
Warranty and liability.
The warranty for the product is valid in accordance with
the legal regulations in the country where it is marketed.
In addition, FEIN also provides a guarantee in accordance
with the FEIN manufacturer’s warranty declaration.
Only part of the accessories described or shown in this
instruction manual will be included with your power
tool.

conforming with the documents and standards given on

Packaging, worn out power tools and accessories should
