1.2. USB to serial Driver

This Board supports both serial port (UART) and USB (default USB)

 If use a USB port, install the FT232 Driver for windows.  In most cases, it will be installed automatically, but if not installed, you can get the driver from the

following address.

2. Setup Serial Terminal Utility

To connect to console of FCM9000x board, below configuration is required:

 Port: Com Port Number on Windows System  Baud rate: 115,200 bps  Data bits: 8 bits  Parity: None  Stop bits: 1 bit  Flow control: None

3. FC9000 setup

The FC9000 device supports the Soft-AP, Station and Wi-Fi Direct modes

 Station: a device that has the capability to use the 802.11 protocol  Soft-AP: Software enabled access point, This is software enabling FC9000 which hasn't been

specifically made to be a router into a wireless access point

 Wi-Fi direct: called Wi-Fi P2P, is a Wi-Fi standard enabling devices to easily connect with each other

without requiring a wireless access point

3.1. Setup STA Mode

3.1.1. Normal Mode (None DPM)

Step 1) Clear all saved configuration. (Using “factory” command)

Step 2) Boot FC9000 and run “setup” on console

Step 3) Stop all services for the setting  Yes

Step 4) Select Country Code. (Type national code as two Capital Character)

3.2. Setup Soft-AP Mode

Step 1) Boot FC9000 and run “setup” on console

Step 2) Stop all services for the setting  Yes

Step 3) Select Country Code (Type national code as two Capital Character)

Step 4) Select running mode as “2. Soft-AP” (depending on the SDK package, you may see fewer options)

Step 5) Input AP SSID / Channel number / Security mode

 SSID (Service set identifier): String ( alphabet / Unicode / number )  Channel: Running channel number  Security: Default is “OPEN” mode for easy setup

Step 6) Input IP-address of Soft-AP. (This address will be used as “default gateway address”)

 IP address / Subnet mask / Default gateway / DNS address  “Enter” key without new input address will be set as default value.

4. Federal Communication Commission Interference Statement

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two condition

s: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference re

ceived, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursu

Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could

void the user's authority to operate this equipment.

Radiation Exposure Statement:

This device is intended only for OEM integrators under the following conditions:

1) The antenna must be installed such that 20 cm is maintained between the antenna and users,

and the maximum antenna gain allowed for use with this device is 2.5 dBi.

2) The transmitter module may not be co-located with any other transmitter or antenna.

As long as 2 conditions above are met, further transmitter test will not be required. However, the

OEM integrator is still responsible for testing their end-product for any additional compliance requireme

nts required with this module installed.

IMPORTANT NOTE: In the event that these conditions can not be met (for example certain laptop confi

gurations or co-location with another transmitter), then the FCC authorization is no longer considered va

lid and the FCC ID can not be used on the final product. In these circumstances, the OEM integrator will

be responsible for re-evaluating the end product (including the transmitter) and obtaining a separate FC

C authorization.

End Product Labeling

This transmitter module is authorized only for use in device where the antenna may be installed such tha

t 20 cm may be maintained between the antenna and users. The final end product must be labeled in a

visible area with the following: “Contains FCC ID: 2AMRF-FCM9000N”. The grantee's FCC ID can be use

d only when all FCC compliance requirements are met.

Manual Information To the End User

The OEM integrator has to be aware not to provide information to the end user regarding how to install or remove this RF module in the user’s manual of the end product which integrates this module. The en

d user manual shall include all required regulatory information/warning as show in this manual.

5. Industry Canada statement

 This device complies with Industry Canada license-exempt RSS standard(s). Operation is subject to

the following two conditions:

1) this device may not cause interference, and

2) this device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired opera-

tion of the device.
