be adjusted for open-air installations as well.

L’installazione dei di󰀨usori acustici ARCHON, impiegando gli accessori di
sospensione descritti nel presente manuale e le speciche istruzioni di montaggio,
dovrà essere eseguita esclusivamente de personale qualicato nel pieno rispetto
delle regole e degli standard di sicurezza in vigore nel paese in cui avviene
l’installazione.
Gli accessori di sospensione FBT sono costruiti per l’uso esclusivo con i sistemi
ARCHON e non sono stati progettati per l’uso in combinazione ad alcun altro
di󰀨usore o dispositivo.
Ogni elemento del so󰀩tto, pavimento o altro supporto in cui venga installato o
appeso un sistema ARCHON deve essere in grado di supportare il carico in piena
sicurezza. Gli accessori di sospensione utilizzati devono essere agganciati e ssati
in sicurezza sia al di󰀨usore acustico che al so󰀩tto od ad altro supporto.
Quando si montano componenti su so󰀩tti, pavimenti o travi, assicurarsi sempre
che tutti i sistemi di aggancio e di ssaggio siano di dimensioni e di capacità di
carico appropriate.

• I di󰀨usori ARCHON devono essere sospesi solo per mezzo di accessori

originali

• Quando si scelgono il luogo di installazione, il cavo si sospensione e i

supporti di montaggio, accertarsi che siano tutti in grado di reggere il peso
del di󰀨usore e degli accessori di sospensione con un opportuno coe󰀩ciente
di sicurezza.

• In caso di installazione ssa occorre sempre pianicare ed eseguire ispezioni

regolari e speciche per vericare che tutte le parti che devono garantire la
sicurezza del sistema nel tempo.

• Non sospendere mai i di󰀨usori per mezzo delle maniglie: le maniglie sono

state progettate per il trasporto del di󰀨usore, non per la loro sospensione.

• Non appendersi/aggrapparsi mai al di󰀨usore quando è in congurazione

sospesa.

La FBT Elettronica SpA declina ogni responsabilità per eventuali danni o
lesioni causati da supporti o strutture non su󰀩cientemente solide o da una
installazione non corretta.

INSTALLATION

ARCHON sound speakers must be installed using the ying accessories decribed
in this manual and following the special assembly instructions by qualied sta󰀨
only, strictly complying with the current regulations and safety standards in force in
the country of installation.
FBT ying accessories are manufactured for their exclusive use with ARCHON
systems and not been designed for being used with any other speaker or device.
Any possible elements of the ceiling, oor or further supports where ARCHON
systems are to be installedshall be able to safety bear the load.
The ying accessories in use are to be coupled ans secured safely to both the
sound speaker and the ceiling (or the other support). When components are tted
to ceilings, oors or beams, always make sure that all couplers and xing elements
are properly sized and have an adequate load capacity.
Besides the main suspensions system, all ying speakers in theatres, indoor
stadiums or in several other work and/or leisure facilities shall be provided with an
additional indipendent safety system with the adequate load capacity.
Only steels cables and chains with certied capacity can be used as an additional
safety device.

• Hang ARCHON speakers using only original accessories

• When choosing the place of installation, the suspension cable and the

mounting supports make sure they are able to bear speaker and ying
accessories weight with the proper safety factor

• As for xed installations, always schedule and carry out special inspections

on a regular basisi in order to check all the parts that have to guarantee
system safety over time

• Do not hang the system by the handles: handles have been designed for

speaker transport, and are not suitable for its suspension

• Never lean on/hang from the ying speaker

by supports or structures wich are not su󰀩ciently sturdy or by incorrect

L’installation des di󰀨useurs acoustiques ARCHON, en utilisant les accessoires de
suspension décrits dans ce manuel et les instructions de montage spéciques, ne
devra être e󰀨ectuée que par du personnel qualié dans le respect des règles et
des normes de sécurité en vigueur dans le pays où cette installation a lieu.
Les accessoires de suspension FBT sont construits pour l’emploi exclusif avec
des systèmes ARCHON et ils n’ont pas été conçus pour l’emploi avec d’autres
di󰀨useurs ou dispositifs. Chaque élément du plafond, du sol ou d’autres supports
où l’on e󰀨ectue l’installation ou la suspension d’un système ARCHON doit être
capable de supporter la charge en toute sécurité. Les accessoires de suspension
utilisés doivent être ancrés et xés en sécurité aussi bien au di󰀨useur acoustique
qu’au plafond ou à un autre support.
Lorsqu’on monte des composants sur des plafonds, des sols ou des poutres,
vérier toujours que tous les systèmes d’ancrage et de xage présentent des
dimensions et des capacités de charge adéquates. En plus du système de
suspension principal, tous les di󰀨useurs suspendus dans des théâtres, des palais
des sports ou dans d’autres endroits de travail et/ou de divertissement doivent être
équipés d’un système de sécurité secondaire indépendant et ayant une capacité
de charge adéquate.
On ne peut employer que des câbles en acier et des chaînes de construction ayant
une capacité de charge certiée en tant que système de sécurité secondaire.

• Les di󰀨useurs ARCHON ne doivent être suspendus que par les accessoires

originaux

• Lorsqu’on choisit le lieu d’installation, le câble de suspension et les supports

de montage, vérier qu’ils soient tous capables de soutenir le poids du
di󰀨useur et des accessoires de suspension avec un coe󰀩cient de sécurité
adéquat

• En cas d’installation xe, il faut toujours planier et e󰀨ectuer des inspections

régulières et spéciques an de vérier toutes les pièces qui doivent assurer
la sécurité du système dans le temps

• Ne jamais suspendre les di󰀨useurs par ses poignées: ces poignées ont été

conçues pour le transport du di󰀨useur et ne sont donc pas aptes pour sa
suspension

• Ne jamais se pendre/s’accrocher au di󰀨useur lorsqu’il est conguré de façon

suspendue.

• FBT Elettronica SpA décline toute responsabilité pour les éventuels

dommages ou blessures causés par des supports ou des structures
pas assez solides ou par une installation incorrecte

Die Installierung der Lautsprecher ARCHON darf nur von fachkundigem Personal
unter uneingeschränkter Wahrung der im Installationsland geltenden Regeln und
Sicherheitsstandards durchgeführt werden, indem das im Handbuch beschriebene
Aufhängezubehör verwendet wird und die spezischen Montageanleitungen
befolgt werden.
Das Aufhängezubehör FBT ist für die ausschließliche Benutzung mit den ARCHON
Systemen konstruiert und nicht für die Benutzung mit anderen Lautsprechern
oder Vorrichtungen entworfen. Jedes Element der Decke, des Bodens oder der
sonstigen Halterung, wo ein ARCHON System installiert oder aufgehangen wird,
muss geeignet sein, um die Last bei voller Sicherheit zu tragen.
Das benutzte Aufhängezubehör muss in voller Sicherheit am Lautsprecher, sowohl
als auch an der Decke oder sonstigen Halterung angeklinkt sein. Vergewissern
Sie sich immer, dass alle Kupplungs- und Befestigungssysteme angemessene
Ausmaße und geeignete Tragfähigkeit haben, wenn die Komponenten an Decken,
Balken oder auf Böden montiert werden.
Alle Lautsprecher, die in Theater, Sporthallen oder weiteren Arbeits- und
Vergnügungsorten aufgehangen sind, müssen außer mit dem Haupthängesystem
auch mit einem zweiten unabhängigen Sicherheitssystem mit angemessener
Tragfähigkeit ausgestattet sein.
Als sekundäre Sicherheit dürfen nur Stahldrahtseile und Bauketten mit
bescheinigter Tragfähigkeit angewendet werden.

• Die ARCHON Lautsprecher dürfen nur mit Originalzubehör aufgehangen

werden

• Vergewissern Sie sich bei der Auswahl des Installierungsortes,

Aufhängeseils und der Montagehalterungen, dass alle Komponenten das
Gewicht des Lautsprechers und des Aufhängezubehörs tragen können und
ein angemessener Sicherheitskoe󰀩zient vorhanden ist

• Bei festen Installierungen müssen immer regelmäßige und spezische

Kontrollen eingeplant werden, um alle Bauteile zu überprüfen, die die
zeitabhängige Systemsicherheit gewährleisten sollen

• Nie die Lautsprecher an den Gri󰀨en aufhängen. Die Gri󰀨e wurden für den

Transport der Lautsprecher und nicht zum Aufhängen entworfen

• Sich nie am aufgehangenem Lautsprecher anhängen/klammern

oder Verletzungen ab, die durch nicht ausreichend feste Halterungen oder

• Carefully choose the area where speakers will be installed, making sure that

the structure can support cabinet’s weight.

• Secure the wall section of the support (A) by using suitable plugs in all its

xing holes (B).

• Fix the other section of the support (C) to the rear of the speaker using the

4 M5 screws provided.

• Lock the speaker to the wall support (D)

• Insert the screw (E) in the relevant hole (F) so to place the speaker to the

desired angle and for further safety.

Non collegare gli ingressi dei di󰀨usori a bassa impedenza (es: 8 Ohm) ad una
linea a tensione costante 100V

• Per il collegamento del di󰀨usore si raccomanda di rivolgersi a personale

qualicato

• Per evitare il rischio di shock elettrico non collegare il di󰀨usore con

l’amplicatore acceso

• Controllare più volte tutte le connessioni prima di accendere l’impianto,

vericando l’assenza di contocircuiti

• Realizzare l’impianto in conformità con le norme vigenti in materia di impianti

elettrici

• Se il di󰀨usore è installato all’aperto, quindi con protezione IP55, i collegamenti

elettrici vanno realizzati all’interno di scatole di protezione a tenuta stagna

• Utilizzare dei cavi con conduttori aventi una sezione adeguata in

considerazione della loro lunghezza e potenza dei di󰀨usori

• Per evitare fenomeni quali ronzii e disturbi che potrebbero causare

malfunzionamento dell’impianto, non canalizzare assieme i conduttori
dell’energia elettrica e i cavi per i di󰀨usori

SISTEMI A TENSIONE COSTANTE

Questo sistema di collegamento prevede che ogni di󰀨usore sia corredato da un
proprio trasformatore di linea. L’amplicatore deve essere provvisto di uscite a
tensione costante a 100V o 70V.
Gli altoparlanti, collegati in parallelo all’uscita dell’amplicatore, renderanno
semplice, se necessario, un ampliamento dell’impianto derivandosi da uno qualsiasi
dei di󰀨usori installati in precedenza, allo stesso modo si potranno eliminare gli
altoparlanti non più necessari. Nei collegamenti è necessario rispettare la “fase”

CONSTANT VOLTAGE SPEAKER SYSTEMS

The connection system entails each speaker being equipped with its own line
transformer. The amplier must be supplied with 100V or 70V costant voltage
outputs. The loudspeakers, connected in parallel to the amplier output, will make
it easy to amplify the system deriving from any of the speakers installed previously,
if necessary; in the same manny loudspeakers wich are not longer necessary can
be eliminated.
In the connections, the “phase” both of the individual speaker to its transformer and
the in-parallel connection of speakers must be respected.
The input voltage of the speaker must correspond to the output voltage of the
amplier; the sum total of the rated power outputs of all the speakers connected to
the line must not exceed that of the amplier.

Constant impedance aoutputs are generally used for lines with a reduced number
of speakers of a certain power output placed at a short distance from the amplier.
Connection between speakers is a mixure between series/parallel, in order to re­conduct the overall impedance of the loudspeakers to a value wich is not critical
for the amplier. Constant impedance connection require that the total impedance
of the speakers in the same greater than that of the amplier. The sum total of
speaker power outputs must be appropriate to the maximum power output of the
amplier.

Speakon connectors are connected in parallel mode. One connector can be used

to connect the box to the output of a power amplier, the other to connect to a

second box. Loudspeaker cables shall have the adequate diameter, depending on

the overall lenght of the connection. The resistance introduced by an inadequate

wiring towards the loudspeakers would reduce both the power output and the

damping factor of the loudspeaker.

I di󰀨usori della serie Archon 110 / 112 / 115 sono provvisti di un selettore della
modalità di funzionamento “X-OVER MODE SELECTOR”. Le modalità operative
sono 2: FULL-RANGE o BI-AMP.
In modalità FULL-RANGE il di󰀨usore deve essere pilotato da un solo amplicatore
e il crossover interno provvede alla suddivisione delle frequenze audio in due
bande da inviare al woofer e al driver.
In modalità BI-AMP è possibile ottenere iol massimo delle prestazioni dagli
altoparlanti pilotandoli singolarmente con un totale di due amplicatori. Il crossover
interno viene disabilitato, pertanto il ltraggio e l’eventuale equalizzazione degli
altoparlanti devono essere esterni.
ATTENZIONE: nella modalità BI-AMP gli altoparlanti non sono protetti, quindi è
necessario rispettare le indicazioni sulla potenza massima, sulle frequenze di
taglio e le pendenze del ltro elettronico esterno, al ne di evitare possibili danni
agli altoparlanti. Per ottenere il massimo delle prestazioni in modalità BI-AMP è
consigliabile usare un processore digitale, settando opportunamente il crossover,
il limiter, l’equalizzatore, il delay per l’allineamento temporale tra woofer e driver.

La tabella mostra le potenze, misurate secondo lo standard AES, accettate dal
di󰀨usore in FULL-RANGE o dai singoli altoparlanti in BI-AMP. Tutti gli altoparlanti
sono testati con un fattore di cresta pari a “2”; per ottenere questo valore,
equivalente ad una dinamica tra valore medio e valore di picco 6dB, è necessario
utilizzare un amplicatore di potenza RMS doppia rispetto a quella fornita in
tabella. L’amplicatore consigliato dall FBT consente di ottenere almeno 6dB di
dinamica in applicazioni ad alto SPL per mantenere una qualità del suono alta.
ATTENZIONE: l’amplicatore consigliato permette di sfruttare interamente le
capacità dinamiche dei di󰀨usori per ottenere la massima qualità e la massima
pressione sonora istantanea, ma ciò non garantisce la salvaguardia degli
altoparlanti in qualsiasi condizione di utilizzo: in presenza di un programma
musicale fortemente compresso o se l’amplicatore viene “spinto” in clipping. gli
altoparlanti possono danneggiarsi per surriscaldamento o eccessiva escursione.
Per programmi a bassa dinamica e forte distorsione, è consigliabile usare un
amplicatore con potenza RMS pari o inferiore a quella fornita in tabella, per
non superare la capacità termica di dissipazione degli altoparlanti. In ogni caso,
far “lavorare” lìamplicatore in clipping comporta un aumento consistente della
potenza fornita al driver, che potrebe essere danneggiato nonostante l’intervento
della protezione presente nel crossover in modalità FULL-RANGE.

ARCHON 110 / 112 / 115 loudspeakers are equipped with a crossover operating
mode selector ( X-OVER MODE SELECTOR ). The crossover models are either
FULL-RANGE or BI-AMP.
In FULL-RANGE mode the loudspeaker is driven by a single amplier and the
internal crossover splits the audio frequency spectrum into two bands, feeding
lower frequencies to the woofer and higher frequencies to the HF unit.
Using BI-AMP mode makes it possible to obtain the maximum performance from
the drivers by using two ampliers, one for the woofer and one for the HF unit. In
this case the internal crossover is inhibited so that all ltration and, if necessary,
equalisation of the drivers must be performed externally.
WARNING: the drivers are not protected in this mode so, to avoid the risk of
damaging the drivers, it is essential to comply with the prescription concerning
maximum power, cut-o󰀨 frequencies and the slopes of the external electronic lter.
To obtain the maximum performance in BI-AMP mode we recommend using a
speaker system digital processor with appropriate settings for the crossover,
limiter, equalizer and delay to achieve temporal alignment between woofer and
HF unit.

The table shows the power outputs, measured in accordance with the AES
standard, that are acceptable by the loudspeaker in FULL-RANGE mode or by the
individual drivers in BI-AMP mode. All the drivers are tested with a crest factor of 2;
to obtain this value, equalling a 6dB dynamics between average and peak value,
an amplier with twice the RMS power indicated in the table shall be used. The
amplier recommended by FBT permits obtaining at least a 6dB dynamics in high
SPL applications to keep a high sound quality.
WARNING: the recommended amplier makes it possible to exploit the full dynamic
potential of the loudspeakers to obtain the maximum sound quality and SPL, but
it does not guarantee the protection of the speakers in any condition of use;
in the case of a highly compressed music program or if the amplier is driven to
clipping levels the drivers may be damaged due to overheating or excessive cone
excursion. For music programs with reduced dynamics and pronounced distortion
it is advisable to use an amplier with an RMS output that is equal to or lower than
the value given in the table to avoid exceeding the heat dissipation capacity of the
drivers. In any event, driving the amplier in clipping mode results in a substantial
rise in the power supplied to the HF unit, which may therefore be damaged despite
tripping of the protection in the internal crossover in FULL-RANGE mode.

Les modèles de la gamme ARCHON 110 / 112 / 115 peuvent être congurés en
modalité FULL-RANGE ou BI-AMP. Pour le choix de la modalité de fonctionnement,
voir la page 29. En modalité FULL-RANGE, on peut e󰀨ectuer une connexion par les
connecteurs Speakon (1+ / 1-) ou par la borne à impédance constante (8Ohm) et
tension 100V. En modalité BI-AMP on ne peut qu’utiliser les connecteurs Speakon
(1+ / 1- LF) (2+ / 2- HF)

LIGNE À TENSION CONSTANTE

Connecter un conducteur de la borne du di󰀨useur marqué par les lettres « COM »
à la ligne 100V qui dépend de la borne de l’amplicateur marqué par « - », « 0 », «
COM ». Connecter l’autre conducteur, en choisissant entre « HI » et « LO » selon
la puissance nécessaire, à la ligne 100 V qui dépend de la borne de l’amplicateur
marqué par « 100V », « + ».

BRANCHEMENT À IMPÈDANCE CONSTANTE

À NE PAS e󰀨ectuer avec des lignes 100V. Connecter un conducteur de la borne
du di󰀨useur marqué par « COM » à la borne de l’amplicateur marqué par « - ».

Die Modelle der Serie ARCHON 110/112/115 sind entweder im FULLRANGE-

Mode oder BIAMP-Mode zu kongurieren. Zur Auswahl der Arbeitsmodalität,

beziehen Sie sich bitte auf S. 29. Im FULLRANGE-Mode besteht die Möglichkeit

des Anschlusses durch die Steckverbinder Speakon (1+ / 1-) oder der Klemme mit

konstanter Impedanz (8Ohm) und 100 V-Spannung. Im BIAMP-Mode können nur

die Steckverbinder (1+ / 1- LF) (2+ / 2- HF) verwendet werden.

SYSTEME KONSTANTER SPANNUNG

Eine Leitung von der Lautsprecherklemme, die mit “COM” gekennzeichnet ist, an

die 100 V-Linie anschließen, die an der Klemme des Verstärkers endet und mit “-”,

“0”, “COM” gekennzeichnet ist. Die andere Leitung an die 100 V-Linie anschließen,

die an der Klemme des Verstärkers endet und mit “100V”, “+” gekennzeichnet ist

sowie entsprechend der gewünschten Leistung zwischen “HI” und “LO” auswählen.

Les haut-parleurs de la série ARCHON 110/112/115 comportent aussi un sélecteur
de mode de fonctionnement (X-OVER MODE SELECTOR).
Il existe deux modes de fonctionnement : FULL-RANGE ou BI-AMP.
En mode FULL-RANGE, le haut-parleur doit être piloté par un seul amplicateur
; le cx-over interne prend en charge le partage des fréquences audio sur deux
bandes envoyées au woofer et au driver.
En mode BI-AMP, les performances optimales des haut-parleurs sont obtenues
par pilotage individuel avec deux amplicateurs en tout. Le cx-over interne est
désactivé ; le ltre et l’égaliseur éventuel des haut-parleurs doivent donc être
externes.
ATTENTION : dans ce mode de fonctionnement, les haut-parleurs ne sont
pas protégés ; il est donc impératif de respecter les indications de puissance
maximum, de fréquences de coupure et d’inclinaison du ltre électronique externe
an d’éviter tout dommage aux haut-parleurs.
Pour obtenir les performances optimales en mode BI-AMP, il est conseillé d’utiliser
un processeur numérique pour haut-parleurs, et de régler de manière appropriée
le cx-over, le limiteur, l’égaliseur et le retard pour le cadrage du temps de réponse
entre woofer et driver.

Le tableau indique les puissances (mesurées conformément au standard AES)
tolérées par l’enceinte en FULL-RANGE ou par les haut-parleurs individuels en

BI-AMP.

Tous les haut-parleurs sont testés avec un facteur de crête de 2 ; an d’obtenir
cette valeur, égale à une dynamique entre la valeur moyenne et la valeur de pic de
6dB, il faut utiliser un amplicateur de puissance RMS double par rapport à celle
indiquée dans le tableau. L’amplicateur recommandé par FBT permet d’obtenir
au moins 6dB de dynamique dans les applications avec SPL élevé an de garder
une haute qualité du son.
ATTENTION: l’amplicateur conseillé permet d’exploiter entièrement les capacités
dynamiques des haut-parleurs an d’obtenir qualité et pression sonore instantanée
maximum, mais la sauvegarde des haut-parleurs n’est pas garantie dans
n’importe quelles conditions d’usage; en présence d’un programme musical
fortement comprimé ou si l’amplicateur passe en saturation “clipping”, les haut­parleurs peuvent subir des dommages dus à la surchau󰀨e ou à une excursion
excessive.
Pour les programmes musicaux caractérisés par une faible dynamique et
distorsion importante, il est conseillé d’utiliser un amplicateur avec une puissance
RMS égale ou inférieure à celle indiquée dans le tableau an de ne pas dépasser
la capacité thermique de dissipation des haut-parleurs. En tous cas, lorsque
l’amplicateur travaille en saturation “clipping”, la puissance fournie au driver
augmente considérablement et peut lui causer des dommages malgré la protection
présente dans le cx-over en mode FULL-RANGE.

Lautsprecher der Serie ARCHON 110 / 112 / 115 sind mit einem Wahlschalter der
cx-over-Betriebsweise ausgestattet (X-OVER MODE SELECTOR)
Es stehen zwei Betriebsweisen zur Verfügung: FULL-RANGE oder BI-AMP.
Im FULL-RANGE Modus muss der Lautsprecher von einem einzigen Verstärker
angesteuert werden; der interne cx-over dient als Frequenzweiche für den Woofer
und Treiber.
Im BI-AMP Modus erhält man die maximale Leistung von den Lautsprechern,
indem sie einzeln mit insgesamt zwei Verstärkern angesteuert werden. Der interne
cx-over wird deaktiviert, die Filterung und eventuelle Entzerrung der Lautsprecher
müssen daher extern erfolgen.
ACHTUNG: in dieser Betriebsart sin die Lautsprecher nicht geschützt: es müssen
daher die (s. untenstehende Tabelle) Angaben zur Höchstleistung, Trennfrequenz
und Steilhet des externen elektronischen Filters beachtet werden, um Schäden an
den Lautsprechern auszuschließen.
Zum Erhalt der max. Leistung in BI-AMP ist es ratsam, einen digitalen Prozessor für
Lautsprechersysteme zu verwenden und das cx-over, den Limiter, Equalizer und
das Delay für die zeitliche Ausrichtung zwischen Woofer un Treiber entsprechend
einzustellen.

Die Tabelle zeigt die gemäß AES-Standard gemessenen Leistungen an, die von
der Lautersprecherbox in FULL-RANGE oder von den einzelnen Lautsprechern in
BI-AMP akzeptiert werden.
Sämtliche Lautsprecher wurd mit einem Spitzenfaktor 2 getestet; um diesen
Wert zu erreichen, der gleich einer Dynamik zwischen dem Mittelwert und dem
Spitzenwert von 6dB ist, ist es notwendig, einen Verstärker mit doppelter RMS­Leistung als die in der Tabelle gelieferten zu verwenden. Der von FBT empfohlene
Verstärker erlaubt es, mindestens 6dB Dynamik zu erlangen bei Anwendungen mit
hohem SPL, um die Tonqualität hochzuhalten.
ACTHUNG: mit dem empfohlenen Verstärker können die dynamischenLeistungen
der Lautsprecher voll ausgenutzt und daher höchste Klangqualität und sofortiger
max. Schalldruck erhalten werden; dies garantiert jedoch nicht den Schutz der
Lautsprecher unter jeder Einsatzbedingung; be einem stark komprimierten
Musicprogramm oder bei Übergang des Verstärkers in s “Clipping” können die
Lautsprecher infolge Überhitzung oder übermäßigen Hubs beschädigt werden.
Bei Musikprogrammen mit geringer Dynamik und starker Verzerrung sollte ein
Verstärker mit RMS-Leitsung verwendet werden, die größer oder unten der in der
Tabelle angegebenen Leistung ist, um die Verlustleistung der Lautsprecher nicht
zu überschreiten. Der Betrieb des Verstärkers im “Clipping”-Bereich führt in jedem
Fall zu einem starken Anstieg der an den Treiber abgegebenen Leistung, der trotz
Auslösung der Schutzvorrichtung im cx-over im FULL-RANGE Modus beschädigt
werden könnte.

Speakon connectors are connected in parallel mode. One connector can be used
to connect the box to the output of a power amplier, the other to connect to a
second box. Loudspeaker cables shall have the adequate diameter, depending on
the overall lenght of the connection. The resistance introduced by an inadequate
wiring towards the loudspeakers would reduce both the power output and the
damping factor of the loudspeaker.

I modelli della serie ARCHON 110 / 112 / 115 sono equipaggiati con una tromba
ruotabile a direttività costante. La tromba a direttività costante consente di avere
una risposta in frequenza pressochè costante in tutte le direzioni coperte dal
funzionamento della tromba e una emissione timbrica bilanciata in tutto l’angolo
di copertura. Ruotando la tromba si varia l’angolo di dispersione per l’utilizzo dei
di󰀨usori sia in posizione orizzontale che a󰀩ancati formando un array.

Se si desidera modicare l’angolo di copertura della tromba è necessario:

• Togliere le 4 viti che ssano la rete di protezione anteriore e rimuoverla.

• Svitare le viti di ssaggio della tromba e ruotarla nella posizione desiderata (

non estrarre mai il blocco tromba dal di󰀨usore).

• Riavvitare le viti di ssaggio della tromba e inserire nuovamente la rete di

protezione.

Les modèles de la gamme ARCHON 110 / 112 / 115 sont équipés d’un haut-parleur
à papillon tournable à directivité constante. Le haut-parleur à papillon à directivité
constante permet d’avoir une réponse à la fréquence presque constante dans
toutes les directions couvertes par le fonctionnement du haut-parleur à papillon et
une émission du timbre équilibrée dans tout l’angle de couverture. En tournant le
haut-parleur à papillon on varie l’angle de dispersion pour l’emploi des di󰀨useurs
placés aussi bien de façon horizontale que l’un à côté de l’autre en formant un
array.

Si l’on veut modier l’angle de couverture du haut-parleur à papillon il faut :

• Enlever les 4 vis qui xent la grille de protection à l’avant et l’enlever.

• Dévisser les vis de xation du haut-parleur à papillon et le tourner dans

la position souhaitée (ne jamais enlever l’unité haut-parleur à papillon du
di󰀨useur).

• Visser de nouveau les vis de xation du haut-parleur à papillon et introduire

de nouveau la grille de protection.

The ARCHON series 110 / 112 / 115 models feature a constant directivity rotatable
horn. The constant directivity horn permits getting a response whose frequency
is almost constant in every direction covered by horn operation and a balanced
sound timbre emission over the whole coverage angle. Horn rotation changes the
dispersion angle so as to use the speakers in horizontal position or when they are
aligned in an array.

To change horn coverage angle:

• Remove the 4 screws xing the front mesh and remove it.

• Unscrew horn xing screws and rotate it to the desired position (never extract

the horn unit from the speaker).

• Tighten the horn xing screws again and place the mesh back.

Die Modelle der Serie ARCHON 110/112/115 sind mit einem Trompetenlautsprecher
mit konstanter Richtungscharakteristik ausgestattet. Der Trompetenlautsprecher
mit konstanter Richtungscharakteristik erlaubt eine fast konstante Frequenz in
allen Richtungen, die vom Trompetenlautsprecherbetrieb abgedeckt sind und
eine ausgewogene Klangausgabe im gesamten Abdeckungswinkel. Dreht man
den Trompetenlautsprecher, ändert sich der Verteilungswinkel für die Nutzung der
Lautsprecher sowohl in horizontaler Position als auch nebeneinander bei Bildung
eines Arrays.

Möchte man den Abdeckungswinkel des Trompetenlautsprechers ändern, muss
man:

• Die 4 Schrauben entfernen, die das vordere Schutzgitter halten und dieses
entfernen.

• Die Befestigungsschrauben des Trompetenlautsprechers lösen und in die
gewünschte Position drehen (niemals den Trompetenlautsprecherblock aus
dem Lautsprecher herausziehen).

• Die Befestigungsschrauben des Trompetenlautsprechers wieder
festschrauben und erneut das Schutzgitter aufsetzen.
