MODEL NO. 7 FAST FEED PRESS
Revolutionary Type Of Press Embodying Many Features That
Contribute to Production
This Press has ample speed, less deflection, less crankshaft distortion, featuring a
bronze brake which has an exceptional value in Punch Press construction.
The Clutch mechanism can be set for positive single stroke or continuous.
The machine operates with a one-half Horse Power Motor 1750 R.P.M., and has
provision on the Motor Bracket for a Belt tightener.
The Press is mounted on a steel table of a pan type, rigid, and having facilities
for separating the work on each side of the Press. A convenient chute which is built
into the table to direct the finished work into a container.
The Crankshaft bearings and Pitman Rod Bearings have alemite fittings and
alemite fittings on the end of the Crankshaft for pressure lubrication to the Flywheel,
MAIN FRAME: The Main Frame of this Press is High Tensile Cast Iron having opening in bolster plate 2% inches by
4y2 inches and has standard die space. The Main Bearings running from front to rear have ample oil grooves
for perfect lubrication.
FLYWHEEL: The weight of the Flywheel is approximately 80 lbs., and has a speed of 210 R.P.M. The weight of this
Flywheel is estimated so as to allow for a twenty per cent slow-down for single stroke. The Flywheel is fitted
to the Crankshaft carefully to provide for a good bearing, and is held in position by a split collar with clamps
on the outer end of the Crankshaft at the rear, thereby making it possible to take-up any end-play in the
Flywheel. Power is transmitted to the Flywheel by a V Belt to the Motor. Crankshaft is operated by a simple
mechanical clutch. The dog section of the clutch is mounted on the Flywheel.
REVOLUTIONS PER MINUTE: 60 cycle, 1750 R.P.M. We have a speed of 2 1
CRANKSHAFT: The Crankshaft is of alloy steel, hot rolled, machined out of solid and heat treated.
CLUTCH: The Clutch is a mechanical swing dog type having only two locations on the Flywheel for the dog to
enter, and has a positive safety feature for single tripping mechanism. All moving parts of this Clutch
heat treated to rockwell 50 to 55.
BRAKE: The Brake is made of bronze casting, mechanically slitted so as
pressure is applied. An adjusting screw exerts pressure on
erating the Press.
KNOCKOUT: A standard Knockout can be applied to this Press but is not standard equipment and would have to
be ordered separately.
WEIGHT: The weight of this machine is approximately 480 lbs. less motor.
