INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Use a 0-1800 RPM variable speed drill (at least 14.4V if cordless). Use the PoziSquare
driver bits provided. Install fastener perpendicular to deck, increasing drill speed as the
screw threads into the deck. Slightly countersink. Do not overdrive. If cam-out occurs,
remove and replace screw.

No Predrilling:

GuardDog’s sharp piercing point allows for installation without predrilling for most
applications. Predrilling is recommended at all seam joints, when fastening within 1
of end of board, and when using hardwoods.

This versatile drive system allows for flexibility at the jobsite. The PoziSquare drive virtually
eliminates cam out during installation. (If cam out does occur during installation, the
fastener should be removed and replaced with a new GuardDog screw.)

GuardDog Coating: Fully Tested, Fully Guaranteed.

The GuardDog coating has been tested and approved for use in ACQ, Copper Azole PT,
Cedar, and Redwood applications. This fastener is guaranteed to protect against rust for the
life of the project.

Note: Corrosion guarantee does not apply when the fastener is used within 1,000 ft.
of a saltwater application.
