Phone Setup

• For physical assembly/installation, please

refer to the backside of X3 box.

• Please make sure handset and network cable

is connected correctly to the corresponded

ports.

Long-press Key Function

• Some keys and soft-button on X3 supports

long-press function, such as:

1. Up/Down – Fast scrolling.

2. Line (L1/L2) – Open line configuration.

3. Hands-free – Switch Hands-free / Headphone.

4. And more…

• For keys have specific long-press function,

there will be a function icon on the top-right
corner of the key.

• Try to discover hidden function by long-

press keys. There maybe some surprise.

Help ‘?’

• User can press key ‘3’ for 1.5 seconds (long-

press) to get into the help menu, or press
soft-button Help ‘ ’, which will provide the
definition and description of menu icons and
functions.

Initialization Configuration Wizard (ICW)

• ! This feature is only available after RC3.2.440.

• The ICW will help user to configure the following settings:

1. Language - Only English is available now, multi-language version will

be provided in the later upgrade version.

2. Network – DHCP/Static/PPPoE, three mode is supported.

3. Line1 – User may configure Line1 account via, (1) Service Provider

Provisioning, (2) Private Server Provisioning, (3) Manual configuration.

! (1)&(2) are still in experimental stage.

4. User PIN – For user who wants to limit the accessibility of phone, user

can set a PIN code to lock the phone for protection. If PIN code is set,
the phone will be locked after boot up. User must unlock the phone
with PIN first before using it and modify line configuration and user
profile also requires PIN code validation too. User can skip PIN code
setting or make it blank (default) to remove PIN code protection.

• ICW runs only at the first boot up after reset to factory default,

but user can run ICW manually from phone menu / settings.
