1 Product Description

1.1 Product Overview

This device is a digital monitoring product designed for security. It has an embedded processor and operating system, combined with the latest technology in the IT field, such as video and audio compression / decompres sion, large cap acity hard di sk rec or ding, T CP / IP netw ork te chnol ogy, solidified code in flash to make the system more stable. This device has features of DVR and DVS. It can work independently or connected to other devices to make a strong security surveillance network for use in banking, telecommunications, electricity, justice, transportation, residential, factories, warehouses, water conservancy facilities, and other fields.

3 Installation and connection

3.1 Installation notes

3.1.1 Check goods

1) Check to see if the equipment packing is damaged. Product packaging is made of protective materials which can cope with most transportation accidents.

2) Remove the equipment and ha rd dis k pl ast ic protective film and chec k for obv i ous dam agi n g marks.

3) Open case and check for any loose parts on the front panel data lines, power lines, connection between fan power and the motherboard.

4) Note that the power supply cannot exceed the normal operating voltage range.

3.1.2 About panel and rear panel

1) There are detailed descriptions for all the functions of keys in the front panel and the various interfaces in the rear panel.

2) Carefully check the model number in front panel film to see whether it is consistent with the one you ordered. The label in rear panel is very important for our company's after-sales service. Please protect it well.

4.1 Boot / Login / Logout / Restart / Shutdown screen output /

Shutdown

4.1.1 Boot

Remark:

1) Mare sure the access voltage matches with that of DVR and ensure the DVR GND correctly .

2) If power supply is not normal, DVR won’t work properly, or even be damaged. R ecommend to use regulated power supply.

Specific Booting procedures:

1) Plug in the power, front-panel power indicator is red.

2) Open the boot panel power switch. The device starts, as shown below.

● For audio output, access an audio output device.

● If the host is powered, the device not equipped with a hard disk, or install the hard disk when the

boot is not detected, after starting the video preview screen will display “A hard disk is not hard to find” in a dialogue box.

4.1.2 Login

When the system is turned on and after system initialization, it will automatically display the login screen shown below.

The defaulted User na me is a dmin. Defau lt p assw ord is blank（No characters). Just click the OK button to enter the DVR interface.

 Valid password characters are numbers, letters, decimal points, * and #. Maximum 10

characters.

 Forgotten password?

If you forgot your password, continuously press upward key ▲ 10 times. You will see “restore default user”. Press “OK” to enter the system. Then enter new password to replace the old one.

4.1.3 Logout

To User log off process, right click to shortcut menu, select Exit System, click “Logout” to complete as shown below.

When the operation starts again, re- enter user name and password.

4.1.4 Reboot

If it is ne eded to restart the machine in process, click “Reboot” in the Figure4-5. The system will restar t .

4.1.5 Shutdown screen output

If user needs to close the output screen in process, Click “Close screen output” in the Figure4-5.

4.1.6 Shut down

If user needs to turn off the system, Click “Shutdown” in the Figure4-5.

4.2 Split screen

Right click the mouse to choose “split screen”, Select how many screens you want to show on the monitor screen at one time. See figure 4-6.

4.3 Boot Wizard

When you first use the DVR, the system will automatically open the "Setup Wizard " interface guides after login, to lead user to the basic setups so that the unit is working properly. You can also right-click the mouse to enter and select “Setup Wizard”" setting (Figure 4-4 )

4.3.1 Mobile phone APP download

“Android client link” an d “IO S client link” is for Mobile APP do wnload. See section “7.2 APP Installation” Cloud ID: It’s the DVR device network ID used for network surveillance. See section “4.14.4.1 Network

setup” Enable Boot Wizard: When you click the box, the system will automatically open the "Setup Wizard" on the next boot. Click "Next" after setup..

4.3.2 General setups (Time/Language)

General setups as shown below (See section “4.14.1.1 General setup”): Select PAL or NTSC standard according to your country TV signal standard. click "Next" button after setup completion.

4.3.3 Fast Network (one key to the Internet)

1) Click Auto.Config. The system is automatically configured to obtain an IP address automatic networking as shown below. (For more detail about the Network see section “4.14.4.1 Network setup”). If network connection is successful, Network Status”shows “Healthy Network Cloud(P2P)” shows “ONLINE”.

2) If the auto-configuration probl em pers ist s, che ck that th e curr ent Inte rnet acc ess me thods. If PPPO E access, click manual configuration, enter PPPOE setups, check on, enter your user name and password then click OK

3) After setup is complete, the system will re-test online status. If this does not normally networking, operate according to the network status prompts. If networking is not needed , click "Next".

4.3.4 Channel Mode

Channel Mode sets analog and digital channel number and sets the automatic and AHD mode. Click Add IP camera , you can add IPC cameras. For specific methods see section 4.4.

4.3.5 Encode setup

This operation like the Main stream Sub stream and Encode format can be set to achieve a key to copy all channels, which as shown below (See section 4.14.2.1 “Encode setup” for more details)

4.3.6 HDD setup

This displays all hard disk information for the DVR and does hard disk formatting shown below. click "Next" after setup completion. (See section “4.14.1.3 HDD Setup” for more details)

● If you do not start the boot wizard, right click mouse button - > System Setup - > General Setup

to cancel Boot Wizard checked check box.

4.4 Access analog cameras and IP Camera added

Operation Procedure:

A. To access analog camera if display images are not correct, perform the following:

1) Right Main Menu " Channel mode " enter the setup interface as shown below:

2) The system default is auto m ode. Aut om atic iden tificat ion of high-d efi nition an alog ca mera acc ess. If the camera does not recognize AHD or CVI Camera, click AHD or CVI mode.

B. Add IP Camera.

1) IPC and the video recorder must be connected to a switch in the same network through Ethernet

port.

2) For the channel mode, pull the slider between analog channel(A) and (IPC)digital channel.

Example for a 16 channel D VR: I f yo u nee d acc ess t o 10 an al og ca mera s and 6 IPC , then p ull t he slider and if click OK after adjustment. Restarting will be prompted.

3) Log into the channel mode after restarting, click Add IP cameras into the video management

interface,as shown below (or right main menu, select Video Manager to enter the video interface) , imitate this for other channels. Click the refresh that IP camera can be found, select the camera, click the Add (or double-click the selected IP camera) , then added to the corresponding channel, as shown below:

Remark

● Channel mode is defaulted to auto mode, automatically recognizes analog access, if access cannot display AHD, it needs to enter channel mode check AHD mode. The system is defaults to access analog cameras. Video manager menu is not displayed in the main menu, only after adjustment of the number of channels of digital video recorders, video manager menu will appear after restarting. You can enter the video management interface to add IPC

● If you select a digital channel, the IP camera will be added to the last channel

● IPC connection can be mixed with conventional analog and AHD and TVI and CVI camera

4.5 Screen polling ( Auto swit c h)

Operation Procedure:

1) Right Main Menu " System Setup" - > " General Setup " → " Screen Setup " to enter the interface, as shown below:

2) Set the polling time (Auto switch time) respectively, 2,3,4,5,8,10 seconds

4.6 Electronic zoom

Operation Procedure:

1) Double-click any video channel on the main interface or on the preview or playback interface, you can use an electronic zoom mode

2) Hold down the left mouse button to zoom in or out part of the area of the image

3) Double-click the left or middle mouse button to exit screen electronic amplification

4.7 Main menu Introduction

Press the MENU button or the right mouse button to popup the main menu. The main menu consists of the following three parts:

● In the menu bar, select the corresponding screen preview mode.

● In the menu bar, respectively: Split Screen, system Setup, Video playback, Video backup, Color

adjust, Channel Mode, Video Management, PTZ control, Manual record, Volume, Setup wizard, Exit system can directly enter the corresponding menu page.

● After entering System Setup, it contains General setup, Channel setup, Record setup, Network

setup, Sy stem admin.

4.8 Video playback

Right click mouse to select the Video playback as shown below:

Electronic Zoom function: For preview or playback, hold down the left mouse button to drag out a yellow rectangle. Move the mouse to amplify the image within the rectangle scope. If the left mouse button is held down again it will exit the amplify status.

1) Digital zoom must be used when playing video, and is not available when pausing playback;

2) For playback, if right mouse button is clicked, it will exit the playback interface.

4.9 Video Backup

Operation Procedure:

1) Right click on the " Video Backup" as shown below:

2) Click the mouse to select the channel Number (1~16). It need s to be ba cke d up. To back up all channels select " All".

3) The mouse needs to check backup record mode, / man ual / time / move / alarm, system all types of video defaulted.

4) To modify the start time required to backup video files, click "search".

5) After the retrieval is completed, check the backed-up file. If progress bar "Video Backup" is 100%, backup was successfull.

4.10 Color Adjust

Operation Procedure:

1) Mouse click and drag the control channel to adjust hue, brightness, saturation and contrast.

4.12 PTZ Control

PTZ control supports two modes: RS485 and UTC coaxial control

4.12.1 RS485 Mode

First connect the PTZ CAMERA and DVR's RS485 port with the positive wire to positive wire and negative wire to negative wire (Note: Do not reverse the positive and negative wires).

In UTC coaxial control mode, PTZ camera must support UTC function, the camera through the coaxial cable connected to the DVR VIDEO IN, and set it as shown below:

4.12.3 PTZ control

Operation Procedure:

1) Right-click the shortcut menu bar " PTZ Control" to enter its contr ol interface as shown below:

3) Click the " zoom/focus/iris " to adjust image scaling/focus/ image brightness. The premise is PTZ camera can support Zoom, Focus and Iris

4.12.4 To call a preset

Operation Procedure:

1) Right- click "Syste m Setup" - > "Channel Setup" - > " PTZ Setup " :

4.13 Record function

4.13.1 Manual Record

Operation Procedure:

1) Left-click on the shortcut menu bar "Manual Record" to enter the setup interface shown below:

3) Click "OK " button to exit after setup completion and start recording.

4.13.2 Record Plan

● This setting is only for one channel. Users can use "copy to" all if they want to setup all channels.

● Sub stream is used for network transmission. Encoding format, maximum bitrate and frame rate can be less than or equal to main stream.

● "Encode mode" selection determines video playback, video backup and recording with audio output or not. Only select "AV stream" , “video recording”, “video playback” and “video backup” and there is audio output.

● Frame Rate:

● Stream Control Settings:

1) "constant stream" indicates that the system encodes image according to user-defined bit

rate and frame rate;

2) "variable stream" means the system encodes image bas ed o n user-defined image quality

and video frame rate, but the bit rate is adjusted automatically according to the video scene.

3) "Average stream" indicates that the system controls the fluctuation range according to

user-defined code rate.

3) Select the time of auto maintenance.

5 LAN WEB Remote Monitor

5.1 Log in

Go to Main Menu → System s etup → Network setup (Refer to Figure 4-49)

1) Find out the DVR network “IP address”.

2) Fill the DVR network IP address to your browser address bar. Recommended to use above two browsers（Google Chrome, Firefox）

3) Input the correct user name and password

The default User name is admin, default password is blank (No characters entered）

4) Click “log in” to the preview page, see the picture below:

5) For the first login, download and run the WebClient.exe widget.

6) Log in again, and users can get preview, see the picture below (refer to Figure 5-3):

● IP address can be checked from network setting in system setting

● Support multiple users log in different PC.

● If the web port No.is revised (default 80), when input IP address on browser, port No. is

needed to input after IP address. For example, if the DVR IP address is 192.168.1.114 and the port is changed from 80 to 8000, then the browser address bar should enter http://192.168.1.114:8000

● If software is unable to load at the first time of use, below setting is required on browser: “tools”- “Internet options”- “security”- “user-defined level”- start both Active X widget and Plug-In, then click “OK”.

Local Mode

8 Mobile APP

8.1 APP Introduction

Support mobile remote access. After device is connected to network, users can enter the device’s cloud ID or LAN IP address or dynamic DNS at adding device column on mobile APP, and get mobile remote monitoring.

NOTE:

1) Currently, mobile APP suppor t C hines e, Engl ish , G er man , Fr ench , Russ ian, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Turkish and other languages, the language on APP is the same as that on mobile phone system.

2) Support A ndro id and IOS mobile system (Requires IOS 8.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch)

8.2 AP P Inst allat ion

1) Search the word “IP Pro” from “Google Play” or “App store”, Download and Install.

2) Use mobile phone to scan QR code in the boot wizard of device(refer to 4.3.1), go to the download page and download and install it on the mobile phone.

3) If you don't have a Google Play program on your android phone, you can also go to

Faittoo website (http://www.faittoo.com/help/) to download the android App.

8.3 Software operation

8.3.1 Registered User Mode and Local Mode

Open “IP PRO” and the Login Page would pop out.(As Figure 8-1)

Figure 8-1 Registered User Mode: You need to register your account, and then click “Login” to login. Device information will be stored on the server after login. When login the account in another mobile phone, the added device will be displayed automatically, no need to add again. Besides, Registered User Mode has functions like Device Reminder, Sending Alarm Messages, etc.

Local Mode:

You don't need a registered account. You can log in directly by clicking “Local” . Data would not be ar ra nged or saved by the file serv er so it won’t rec ov er if it was deleted. In lo cal m ode ,

you can’t use the alarm function.

8.3.2 Add device

Click the sign “+” on the right upper side, choose cloud ID, fill in recorder’s connection info, as shown below:
