Do not place anything on the oven door while it is open. The oven door is made
of glass and can break if loaded with any additional weight.
Do not alter or remove any factory applied label, warning indicators or identi cation
plates from this range. Removal of these items may void the warranty. Please
follow all applicable local codes and laws.
Please do not use this range as a space heater to heat a room.
These instructions should be kept at the user’s home in the case of inspection
from a local inspector.
Installation must conform with local codes or, in the absence of codes, the
National Fuel Gas Code NSIZ223.1 – latest edition. Electrical installation must
be in accordance with the National Electrical Code, ANIS/NFPA70 – latest edition
and/or local codes. IN CANADA: Installation must be in accordance with the
current CAN/CGA – B149.1 National Gas Installation Code or CAN/CGA – B
149.2, Propane Installation Code and/or local codes. Electrical installation must
be in accordance with the current CSA C22.1 Canadian Electrical Codes Part 1
and/or local codes.
Installation of any appliance fueled by Natural Gas or Propane should be
performed only by a licensed plumber. An accessible manual gas shut off valve
must be positioned in the supply line before the gas enters the appliance for
safety and ease of service.
Children should not be left alone or unattended while the range is in use. No one
should sit or stand on any part of an appliance.
Loose- tting or hanging garments should never be worn while operating the
range.
Do not repair or replace any part of the appliance unless speci cally instructed
in the manual. All other servicing should be handled by a quali ed technician.
Use only dry potholders. Moist or damp potholders on hot surfaces may result in
burns from steam. Do not let potholders touch hot heating elements. Do not use
a towel or other bulky cloth.
Do not cover any opening in the oven with aluminum foil.
Do not to cover the cooktop with aluminum foil.
Do not place any ammable objects such as aerosol cans on or around the range.
Do not store dangerous or ammable materials in the cabinets above the range.
Do not use aerosol sprays in the vicinity of the range while in use.
Do not use oven compartment for storage even if the oven is not in use.
Use caution when opening the oven door. Be sure to let hot air or steam escape
from the oven before handling food.

Do not heat unopened food containers in the oven. Build-up of pressure may
cause container to burst and result in injury.
Keep oven ventilation ducts unobstructed.
Always place oven racks in desired location only when the oven is cool. If a rack
must be moved or removed while oven is hot, do not let potholder contact the
heating element in the oven.
Do not clean oven door gasket. The door gasket is essential for a good seal. Care
should be taken not to rub, damage, or move the gasket.
Do not use oven cleaning products to clean this oven, unless absolutely
necessary. No commercial oven cleaner or oven liner protective coating of any
kind should be used in or around any part of the oven. Please refer to the cleaning
instructions in section “5.1.2 Range Interior”.
Clean only parts listed as safe for cleaning.
Do not use water to extinguish a grease re.
Please use dry chemical or foam extinguishers on any re should one occur.

2. INSTALLATION & ELECTRICAL
AND GAS CONNECTION
BEFORE INSTALLATION
2.1
This range should only be installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Installation should only be attempted by an authorized professional.
This range must be installed in accordance with the norms and standards of the
country where it is being installed. The installation of this appliance must conform
to local codes and ordinances. In the absence of local codes, Installations must
conforms to American National Standards, National Fuel Gas Code ANSI Z223.1
– latest edition** or B149.1.
The range, when installed, must be electrically grounded in accordance with local
codes or, in the absence of local codes, with the National Electrical Code, ANSI/
NFPA 70.
This range must be used with the pressure regulator provided. The regulator will
need to be properly installed in order to be easily accessible when the appliance
is installed in its nal location. The pressure regulator must be set for the type of
gas being used. The appropriate tting must be determined based on the size of
your gas supply line, the exible metal connector and the shut-off valve.
The range must be isolated from the gas supply by closing its manual shutoff valve during any pressure testing of the gas supply piping system at test
pressures equal to or less than ½ psi (3.5 kPa).
All openings and holes made in the wall and oor behind or under the range
should be securely sealed before installing the appliance.
A manual valve should be installed in an accessible location in the gas line outside
of the range in order to turn the gas on and off when necessary.

WARNING! Do not use aerosol sprays in the vicinity of this appliance while
it is in operation.
ROOM VENTILATION: A ventilation hood may be used above this range. The
hood should be installed in conformity with the appropriate national and local
standards. Exhaust hood operation may affect other vented appliances.
TYPE OF GAS
This range is shipped from the factory for use with natural gas. For use with
propane LP gas please follow the conversion procedure.

INSTALLATION DIMENSIONS
2.2
The measurements of the space in which the range is to be installed must
coincide with those indicated below.
The ranges may be installed directly next to existing countertop high cabinets
(36” or 91.5 cm from the oor).
For seamless integration of the range, the cooktop should be leveled with the
countertop. This can be done by raising the range using the adjustment screws
on the legs.
ATTENTION: The range CANNOT be installed directly adjacent to kitchen walls,
tall cabinets, tall appliances, or other vertical surfaces greater than 36” (91.4 cm)
high. The minimum side clearance in such cases is 6” (15.2 cm).
Wall cabinets with minimum side clearance must be installed 18” (45.7 cm)
above the countertop with countertop height between 35 ½” (90.2 cm) and 37 ¼”
(94.6 cm). The maximum depth of wall cabinets above the range must be 13”
(33.0 cm).

INSTALLING THE ANTI-TIP STABILITY CHAIN
2.3
WARNING
a) Please use caution in operating the range as it can tip over and cause damage
or even death.
b) We recommend that you install the anti-tip device to the surrounding cabinets
and/or the range. There are two chains at rear left and right side of appliance
which can be fastened to the wall or cupboards beside this appliance.
c) Attach the range to the anti-tip device, attaching the two chains at rear left
and right of appliance to the wall or cupboards beside this appliance.
d) If the range is not sturdy or begins to move from its position, we recommend
that you re-install the anti-tip device.
e) See instructions below for further details.
f) Failure to install the anti-tip device properly can potentially result in serious
injury or death.
THIS RANGE MUST BE SECURED BY PROPERLY INSTALLED ANTI-TIP
DEVICES. TO CHECK IF THE DEVICES ARE INSTALLED PROPERLY, GRASP
THE TOP REAR EDGE OF THE RANGE AND CAREFULLY ATTEMPT TO TILT IT
FORWARD SLOWLY.
The range is supplied with an anti-tip device to prevent the appliance from tilting
forward and causing accidental damage to the gas pipe. For proper installation
of the anti-tip device, please follow the steps below:
1) Take the expansion with the hook and make an adequate hole in the wall
behind the area of installation the same height as the chain xing area.
2) Insert the plug into the hole and screw in the hook until it is rmly attached to
the wall.
3) Link the chain to the hook.
4) Adjust the level of the cooker inserting the feet provided.

For a situation where the appliance is between two cabinets and the anti-tip
device cannot be tted, we suggest securing the range by screwing through
both sides of the cabinets into the sides of the cooker. The installation screws
should be tted as follows. Position the oven between the cupboards in its nal
position, then mark the location of the pilot hole inside the cupboard. Use a
3.5mm diameter drill bit to drill the pilot hole through the cupboard and both
sides of the range.
Before drilling, check your measurements to ensure the pilot holes are located
within the area speci ed in the installation diagram. A drilled hole in the side of
the range, which is outside the speci ed area, may void the warranty. Inspect
cabinets thoroughly before drilling to avoid damage to electrical wires or gas
lines. Fix two 12 gauge x 40mm long self tapping screws through the pilot holes
inside both cabinets and into the side of the range.
Note: Required screw length is based on cupboard thickness of 20mm, and gap
between cupboard and range of 10mm.
Screw length could vary depending on cupboard material thickness and gap
between range and cupboards.
Note: The screws must be accessible for removal.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
2.4
WARNING! ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD
Disconnect electrical power at the breaker box or fuse box before installing
this appliance. Please make sure the unit is properly grounded for safety.
Use copper conductors only. Failure to follow these instructions could
result in serious injury or death.
CAUTION
Label all wires prior to disconnecting when servicing controls. Wiring
errors can cause improper and dangerous operation. Always verify proper
operation after servicing.
The range is tted with an approved 15 Amp exible cord which must be
connected to a correctly grounded power line. The manufacturer is not liable
for any direct or indirect damage caused by faulty installation or connection. It
is therefore necessary that all installation and connection operations are carried
out by quali ed personnel complying with the applicable local and general
regulations.
The wire section on the cable must not be less than 1.5mm (3×1.5 cable). Use
only the cables available at our service centers.

CONNECTION OF THE FEEDING CABLE TO THE MAINS
Connect the feeding cable to a plug suitable for the load indicated on the rating
plate of the product. In case of a direct connection to the mains (cable without
plug), it is necessary to insert a suitable omnipolar switch before the appliance,
with minimum opening between contacts of 3 mm (the grounding wire should not
be interrupted by the switch).
Before connecting to the main electrical wiring, make sure:
• The electrical counter, the safety valve, the feeding line and the socket are
equipped to withstand the maximum load required to run the range. (see
rating plate).
• The supply system is regularly grounded, according to the local regulation
codes.
• The socket or the omnipolar switch can easily be reached after the
installation of the range.
• After carrying out the connection to the main electrical wiring, check the
supplying cable does not come into contact with parts subject to heating.
• Never use reductions, shunts, or adaptors which can cause overheating or
burning.
The manufacturer is not liable for any direct or indirect damage caused by
faulty installation or connection. We recommend all installation and connection
operations be carried out by quali ed personnel complying with the national and
local regulation codes.
CAUTION
Connect the black wire to the N (neutral) tab; connect the red wire to the L (live) tab
and the green or green/yellow wire to the ground tab. Do not swap connections.
All gas connections used in this installation must comply with appropriate national
and local codes. The gas supply line must be the same size or greater than the
inlet line on the range. The gas connection is male 1/2” BSP and is situated 2.16”
(5.5 cm) from the right and 22” (56 cm) from the oor. Use the appropriate sealant
resistant to gas on all pipe joints.
This range can be used with Natural or LP/Propane gas. The range comes
shipped from the factory for use with natural gas.
For installations using propane, the fuel settings of the range must be adjusted by
the dealer, a licensed plumber, or another trained professional.
Proper fuel conversion is mandatory for the proper and safe use of the appliance.
It is the responsibility of the owner of the range or the dealer who sold it to ensure
this is done correctly.
VENTILATION
This range should be installed in accordance with the local regulations and used
only in a well ventilated space (do not use the range in your garage, basement,
room without windows, etc.)
The use of a gas cooking appliance produces heat and moisture in the room
in which it is installed. Ensure that the kitchen is well ventilated, keep natural
ventilation holes open or install a mechanical ventilation device. This range will
perform best when used with Fagor ventilation hoods.
Prolonged intensive use of the appliance may call for additional ventilation, such
as the opening of a window, or more effective ventilation, including but not limited
to increasing the level of mechanical ventilation where present.
MANUAL SHUT-OFF VALVE
A shut off valve does not come with this range. An appropriate valve should be
provided by the installer.
A manual valve must be installed in the gas line between the gas hook-up on the
wall and the appliance inlet in a location where it can be reached quickly in the
event of an emergency.
FLEXIBLE CONNECTIONS
When performing an installation with exible couplings or quick-disconnect
ttings, the installer must use a heavy-duty, AGA design-certi ed commercial
exible connector of at least 1/2” (1.3 cm) ID NPT (with suitable strain reliefs)
in compliance with ANSI Z21.41 and Z21.69 standards.

Once the range has been installed, make sure the gas pipe is neither crushed or
damaged. Before using the range, check all connections for gas leaks with soap
and water by pouring the mixture over the gas line and watching for bubbles. If
bubbles are visible a gas leak is present and must be repaired before the unit is
used.
WARNING! DO NOT USE AN OPEN FLAME WHEN CHECKING FOR LEAKS!
Ignite all burners separately to ensure correct operation of gas valves, burners
and ignition. Turn control knobs to low ame position and observe stability of
the ame for each burner separately. When satis ed with the operation of the
cooktop, please instruct the user on the correct method of operation. In case the
cooktop fails to operate correctly after all checks have been carried out, refer to
an authorized service provider in your area.
CONVERSION TO DIFFERENT TYPES OF GAS
When converting the range from Universal LPG to Natural Gas, ensure the LPG
test point is removed and replaced with the NG Regulator supplied in this kit. The
test point pressure must be adjusted to 4”W.C with the largest burner operating
on maximum ame.
When converting from Natural Gas to Universal LPG ensure the NG regulator
is removed and replaced with the Test Point Assembly supplied in this kit. An
approved gas regulator suitable for a supply pressure of 10”W.C should be part
of the gas tank supply and the test point pressure must be adjusted to 10”W.C.
To adapt the appliance to a different type of gas from what the range was set up
for (see gas type label inside the warming compartment door) proceed as follows:
• Remove the burner caps and burner heads.
• Using a 7mm socket spanner unscrew/remove the injectors.
• Replace the injectors with replacement injectors supplied corresponding to
the gas available (see burner and injector characteristics table).
• Reattach injectors and replace burner caps and heads.

SETTING THE MINIMUM FLAME
The ame on the lowest output level is regulated by the factory. When the injectors
have been replaced or there are conditions of unusual gas pressure, it may be
necessary to regulate a minimum size ame. Please follow the below directions:
• Turn the burner knob to the minimum position.
• Use a thin blade screw driver to turn the screw located in the brass shaft.
• Turn the screw fully clockwise, then turn it counter-clockwise 1/4 turn for the
Dual Burner and 1/8 turn for all other burners. The result should be a small,
stable ame which is uniform around the entire burner ring. If not, turn the
screw counter-clockwise until satis ed with the size of the ame.
• Put the knob back on the range and turn it quickly from the maximum
position to the minimum position, checking that the ame does not go out.
• For burners with safety valves, make sure the regulation obtained is suf cient
to maintain heating of the thermocouple. If not, increase the minimum.
THE BURNERS REQUIRE NO REGULATION OF THE AIR FLOW THROUGH OR
AROUND THE BURNER. ANY OF THE FOLLOWING ARE CONSIDERED TO BE
ABNORMAL OPERATION AND MAY REQUIRE SERVICING:
• Yellow tip on the hob burner ame.
• Soot buildup on cooking tools.
• Burners not igniting properly.
• Burners failing to remain lit.
• Burners ames extinguished by opening oven door.
• Gas valves are dif cult to turn.
IN CASE THE RANGE FAILS TO OPERATE CORRECTLY, CONTACT THE
SERVICE HOTLINE LISTED ON THE BACK OF THIS MANUAL.

FINISHING YOUR INSTALLATION

FINAL CHECKLIST
1. Is the range properly leveled on it’s legs/feet?
2. Has the anti-tip chain been properly installed?
3. Does the distance from the side cabinets comply with the manufacturers

5. Has the gas line been connected by following the manufacturer’s directions?
6. Have all the necessary stoppers, valves, and gaskets been installed between
the range and the gas supply line?
7. Has the gas connection been checked for leaks using a soap and water
solution?
8. Has the range been set for the type of gas in use at the location?
9. Does the ame appear sharp blue, with no yellow tips, or surges in height or
power?
10. Has the minimum setting for all burners been adjusted to manufacturers
recommendations?
FINAL PREPARATION
All exterior steel body parts should be cleaned with warm, soapy water and with
a liquid stainless steel cleaner.
If any staining or grease build-up occurs, do not use steel wool, abrasive cloths,
abrasive cleaners, or powder cleaners. To remove hard stains from the stainless
steel unit, we recommend that you soak the area with hot, wet cloths to loosen
the substance. Then use a normal wood or nylon scraper to dislodge the stain.
Never use a metal knife, spatula, or any other metal tool to scrape stains off of
the stainless steel unit. Scratches are impossible to remove.
Before using the oven for the rst time, wash the oven cavity thoroughly with
a warm soap and water solution to remove any impurities left over from the
installation process, then wipe dry.

IGNITION AND OPERATION OF THE BURNERS

In order to ignite the range burner, you must push in the knob while rotating it
counterclockwise until the top is aligned with the position corresponding to the
maximum burner power. When working with models that are equipped with a
safety valve, once the ame is lit, hold the knob in for about 3-4 seconds till the
device keeps the burner automatically lit. If the burner fails to ignite, wait one
minute for the gas to dissipate before attempting to reignite. At this time you can
adjust the ame intensity by rotating the knob counterclockwise from the highest
position to the lowest one. To turn the burner off, rotate the knob clockwise
bringing the index back to the position corresponding to the closure symbol.
RECOMMENDATIONS
3.4
In the event of an electrical power failure, it is necessary to carry out the steps
above by putting a gas lighter or a ame near the burner (Caution: please make
sure not to burn yourself).
The safety valve (for models where such item is provided) will intervene in the
event of accidental ame failure (e.g.: air draughts, spillage of liquids, etc.), by
blocking the gas delivery.
The ignition device on any burner must not be actuated for longer than 15
seconds. Should the ignition attempt fail, or should the burner be accidentally
turned off, immediately turn the burner knob off and repeat the ignition after at
least one minute.
Once the ignition has taken place, adjust the ame according to your needs.
For lower gas consumption and better cooking ef ciency, use cookware with
diameters suitable for the burners, avoiding the ame coming up round the
side of the cookware (see the “Recommended Pan Size” table). Use only atbottomed cookware.
As soon as a liquid starts to boil, turn the ame down to a level strong enough to
maintain the boil.
While cooking, when using fats and oils, be very careful as they may catch re if
overheated.

4. USING THE OVEN AND
PRACTICAL TIPS
BEFORE USING THE OVEN FOR THE FIRST TIME
4.1
Adjusting the Clock
We recommend that you set the correct time after connecting the range to the
power supply.
Getting Started
Before using your new range for the rst time, make sure you have removed
all packing materials and protective plastic. Heat the oven empty for about 30
minutes, with the door closed. Turn the cooking functions selector to position
and set the temperature to 500ºF.
During this process, you may detect some odor and possibly smoke, both of
which are normal. When you heat your oven for the rst time you will effectively
remove any traces of oil residue inside the oven that may exist as a result of the
manufacturing process. Once the oven has cooled down, be sure to follow the
cleaning procedures outlined in section “5. Range Cleaning and Maintenance”.
Before using any of the interior trays for the rst time, clean with a mild detergent
and a sponge or soft cloth.

CONTROL PANEL
4.2
a
Cooking Program Selector
Your oven offers six (6) different cooking programs and one convection defrost
program. With the cooking program selector/knob, you will be able to select the
most suitable cooking program for the type of food you wish to cook.
Below is a description of some of the functions on the oven. Some of them may or
may not appear on your unit, please review the functions that apply to your unit.
Light: Lamp of the oven is on, with no heating elements operated. During
oven operation the lamp will always remain on.
Bake: This program is recommended for baking bread, cakes and stuffed
pastries. Also recommended for roasting lean meats. The oven must be
preheated before the food is placed inside. Cooking is possible only on the
middle shelf and should be centered in the oven.
Pizza: While primarily used for cooking pizza with a crispy crust, this
feature is also ideal for pastries and cakes with a high moisture content
and little sugar as well as damp desserts in moulds. This function can
also be used for dishes requiring heating on the bottom/underside. These
dishes should be placed on the lowest shelf for best results.
Top Cooking: Used for browning food at the end of cooking a meal.
Broil: Recommended for all types of broiling: pasta, souf é, béchamel
sauce, etc. The cooking time should be no longer than 5 minutes.
Convection Broil: Special program for cooking large roasts and also ideal
for cooking and broiling at the same time: red meats, pot roast, poultry,
etc. Preheat oven, place food on grill rack in baking tray and place in the
middle of the oven.
Turbo Plus: The oven is heated up by the central round heating element.
The fan distributes the heat evenly within the oven. Turbo Plus mode
provides optimum results with: cakes (soft and thick), large quantities of
foods and cooking various dishes simultaneously.
Defrosting: The defrosting function can be used to thaw any type of
frozen food: meat, sh, or vegetables, in minimal time. It speeds up normal
defrosting times.

To start the Rotisserie feature, proceed as follows:

inserting it through the special hole for the rotisserie at the back of the oven.
3. Start the rotisserie by using the cooking program knob to select either the

With the temperature selector/knob, you can adjust the cooking temperature at
any time. The temperature controls range from Low (100°F) to MAX (500°F).
The thermostat indicator light will turn off
when the selected temperature is reached.

OPERATING THE OVEN
Below are the steps for turning your oven on.
1. Place food in the oven on the
recommended tray and level (see tables on
pages 28-31).
2. Select the cooking program using the
cooking program knob (see tables on
pages 28-31).
3. Set temperature by turning the temperature knob or following the
instructions given in the timer operating section (see tables on pages 28-31).
4. Once your meal is nished, do not forget to turn both cooking function and
temperature knobs to the OFF position.
