1. Brief
The FX5621 is a compact size embedded system with VIA low-power Eden CPU board inside. This user’s quick reference provides the I/O outlets description and their pin assignment.

1 FX5621 embedded system. 1 AC to DC power adapter and 1 AC power code cable. 1 Y-type (3-terminal) PS/2 keyboard plus mouse port adapter cable. 1 pack of 2.5” hard disk installation kit with fixed screws 1 compact disc includes software utility. 1 hard copies of this quick reference.

1GHz VIA low-power Eden V4 CPU with 512MB DDR2 RAM.
* I/O Outlets
Four 10/100 base-TX and two 10/100/1000 base-TX Ethernet ports. 2 USB ports and 1 RS-232 serial port. 1 CRT and 1 PS/2 compatible keyboard/mouse interface. 1 mini-PCI socket for mini-PCI I/O modules. 1 DC-In plug connector with power switch. 1 power LED, 1 HDD/CF access LED, 1 user defined status LED, and 12 LAN LEDs. 1 push button for user defined.

1 CompactFlash socket. One 2.5" hard disk space.

+12 ~ +24V DC with 15% tolerance, 27VA maximum with 2.5” HDD and 19V input voltage.

6. Software Configuration and Driver Installation
Please refer to the driver installing documentaion in the included Compact Disc for installing what device driver you need. If you need to change the system settings or configurations of I/O ports, Please refer to the User's Manual (also in the included Compact Disc) for details.

The following two figure show the way to install the CompactFlash module, Mini PCI module, and wireless antenna into the FX5621.
9. Changing the SoDIMM and Installing 2.5" HDD into FX5621
The following figure will guide you how to install 2.5" HDD and how to change the DDR2 DIMM for the FX5621 system. Please be noted that install CompactFlash module before installing the 2.5” HDD.

The LAN port #A & #B are RJ45 connectors with 2 LEDs. The right side LED (orange) indicates data is accessing and the left side LED (green) indicates on-line status. (When lighted indicates on-line and off indicates off-line)
