1. Brief
The FX5621 is a compact size embedded system with VIA low-power Eden CPU board inside. This
user’s quick reference provides the I/O outlets description and their pin assignment.

6. Software Configuration and Driver Installation
Please refer to the driver installing documentaion in the included Compact Disc for installing what
device driver you need. If you need to change the system settings or configurations of I/O ports, Please
refer to the User's Manual (also in the included Compact Disc) for details.

8. Installing CompactFlash/Mini PCI modules and Wireless Antenna into FX5621
The following two figure show the way to install the CompactFlash module, Mini PCI module, and
wireless antenna into the FX5621.
9. Changing the SoDIMM and Installing 2.5" HDD into FX5621
The following figure will guide you how to install 2.5" HDD and how to change the DDR2 DIMM for the
FX5621 system. Please be noted that install CompactFlash module before installing the 2.5” HDD.

The LAN port #A & #B are RJ45 connectors with
2 LEDs. The right side LED (orange) indicates
data is accessing and the left side LED (green)
indicates on-line status. (When lighted indicates
on-line and off indicates off-line)
