INSPECT (BEFORE USE):
Ensure all fasteners and locking mechanisms are in place and tightened before use. Regularly check
and tighten as needed.
Check that all parts of the stair system are in good condition.
Confirm the stair system is correctly leveled and positioned securely.
Inspect for damaged, loose, or missing parts before use. If damaged, loose, or missing parts are noted,
DO NOT USE and contact manufacturer.
3.
SYMBOLS, SAFETY, AND WARNINGS
3.1. SYMBOL MEANINGS:
WARNING SYMBOL: This symbol may appear in various colors and in conjunction with other
symbols. The WARNING symbol indicates that a failure to obey the warning could result in property
damage, damage to equipment, serious personal injury, or death, as well as the serious personal
injury or death of others.
NOTE SYMBOL: This symbol may appear in various colors and in conjunction with other symbols.
This indicates that a failure to obey all notes could result in improper operation, less than optimum
performance, and at the sole discretion of the manufacturer, may void your warranty.
3.2. SET UP, USE, AND MAINTENANCE WARNINGS
Safety warnings, notes, and caveats expressed in this manual are for the protection of people and
property. Failure by any user to obey any such notification will result in a waiver of all liabilities, loss of
warranty, and could also result in equipment damage, property damage, and may put people at risk of
serious bodily injury or death.

RATED LOAD: 100 psf, 300 lbs. concentrated. NEVER EXCEED THE RATED LOAD.
Securely install the OSHA Riser Safety Pin in the OSHA Stair Platform Riser Hanger before use.
Do not use the system without properly installed handrails.
Metal conducts electricity. Never use near electrical current.
Use caution at all times. Do not run or jump on the system.
Do not play on or around the system, including climbing on, through, or under the handrails.
Do not use any part of the system, including handrails, to support planters, power cords, decorations,
etc.
Never place anything under or attach anything to the system to gain height or to adjust for uneven
surfaces.
Do not use any component not supplied or approved by the manufacturer with the system.
If any part of the system is damaged, loose, or missing, DO NOT USE until repairs can be made by a
certified installer, or other qualified person.
Proper maintenance and upkeep of the system is vital to the health and safety of people using the
system.
At all times, keep the system clear of dirt, leaves, and other debris that may accumulate on the
surface. Do not use the system if the surface is covered with ice and or snow. Accumulation should
be shoveled and the tread surface swept clean, prior to use.
Periodically check for ground shifts and adjust level if required.
Always properly support and restrain the system in transit and or storage.
Always use as described in this manual. Do not misuse or abuse.
If lag bolts cannot be installed, it is strongly recommended the platform be secured to the building in
another structurally sound manner.
Consult manufacturer for part numbers of oversized feet & legs (FIG. 5) and complete system part
numbers.

4.
INSTALLATION:
4.1. Rated Load: 100 psf, 300 lbs. concentrated.
4.2. OSHA Riser Safety Pins (FIG. 1D) must ALWAYS be installed in the riser hangers on the platform corner
pockets before use (FIG. 2). If any hardware is missing, DO NOT USE system and contact manufacturer.
4.3. Set platform on its side.
4.4. Loosen platform leg adjustment bolts in each platform corner pocket, but do not remove; adjust legs to
desired height and securely retighten platform leg adjustment bolts (FIG. 3).
If using (optional) oversized feet, see instructions on page 6 for installation.
4.5. Set platform in upright position.
4.6. Readjust each platform leg height as necessary to level platform.
A slight tilt, away from structure of no more than 1:50, will aid in drainage. An optional platform
with drain holes is also available. For more information call 1-800-258-8503, or visit us on the

4.7. Remove the OSHA Riser Safety Pins and attach riser (FIG. 1E) to platform by placing the “T” in the upper
corner pockets of riser into the corresponding riser hanger (channel with roll pin) on the platform (FIG. 2).
The “T” placement determines height; use either upper or lower riser hangers as required.
4.8. Secure riser to platform by reinserting OSHA Riser Safety Pins into the riser hanger (FIG. 2).
4.9. Loosen riser leg adjustment bolts in the lower riser corner pockets, but do not remove completely; adjust
legs to desired height and tighten riser leg adjustment bolts securely (FIG. 3).
4.10. Insert the 60” (longer) side of platform handrail into platform corner pocket, on the side opposite the
building or structure.
4.11. Unfold the 40” (shorter) side of the platform handrail (FIG. 1H) and orient on the side opposite the riser,
then lower handrail into platform corner pockets until the snap button engages in the corresponding hole
to secure in place (FIG. 3).
4.12. Install riser handrail (FIG. 1J) into riser on the side opposite the building or structure.
4.13. Lag bolt (not included) platform to building using holes in platform angle braces whenever possible (FIG.
3).
4.14. If lag bolts cannot be installed, it is strongly recommended the platform be secured to the building or
structure in another structurally sound manner.
4.15. Ensure that the temporary stair system is set up in the desired configuration, is correctly positioned, and
complies with applicable OSHA codes.
4.16. Always make sure all fasteners are in place and secured. Regularly check and tighten hardware as
needed.

OVERSIZED FEET INSTALLATION (OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT):
5.1. Loosen the leg adjustment bolts in each platform and riser corner pocket, but do not remove; then
remove the existing legs (FIG. 3).
5.2. Insert the legs included with the oversized feet into the corner pockets with the open side of the channel
oriented toward the leg adjustment bolt & washer and the square nut inside the leg (FIG. 5).
The two short legs install in the bottom of the riser and the four long legs in the platform.
5.3. Install an oversized foot onto each leg with the foot oriented under the platform or riser as shown in FIG.
5, adjust to the desired height and tighten both the thumb screws in the feet and the leg adjustment bolts
in the corner pockets securely.
5.4. Proceed with the remaining installation steps described above.
