1. CHARGING TECHNOLOGY DESCRIPTION
Electrode specific Charging System is new technology of battery charging. It presents a
small revolution on this field, because the results in practice are fantastic. With this
technology very fast and very precise charging is possible, because only
electrochemical position of battery "dictates" to the charger way and current of
charging, which is momentarily proper for the battery. Charging with high current is
accomplished only in phases, when cells can accept energy, without warming up or
giving off gas.
When charging with this technology is no giving off the gas from electrolyte, warming up
or sulfatisation. All this processes disintegrates cells of acid battery, so extraordinary
prolongation of battery life and shortening of charging time is achived.
Teoretically acid battery can be charged with 2,5 time higher current then default
current is. This means that 100Ah battery can be charged in less then half of hour, if we
can use current source of 250A. If starter battery is empty, it is possible to start the
engine after aproximatlly 5 minutes.
We can say that charging technology works as transformer between battery chemistry
and signals that commands the charge. Each battery is "treated" individually and from
here the name "Electrode specific Charging System" is coming.
2. CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS
Accumulator battery charger is suitable for charging only12V acid batteries from
alltogether capacity of min. 20 Ah. Max. capacity of charged battery in not limited.
2.1 Classical way of connection of charger AP-17
A. For connection to the battery polls (connections) use 4 mm
2
wire for distances to 1
m, 6 mm2 wire for distances to 2 m, 10 mm2 wire for distances to 4 m and 16 mm2 wire
for longer distances.
B. RED to the + connection of the battery.
C. BLACK to the - connection of the battery.
D. Plug in the charger.
E. Switch on the main supply switcher (POWER) on the side of the charger (small light
must be on).
F. At correct connection YELLOW led indicator lights on.
G. When the battery is full, GREEN led indicator lights on.
Option solution
H. After 120 seconds GREEN led indicator switches off and YELLOW LED indicator
switches on again. Battery state is checked and, if necessary, battery is recharged.
When recharging is finished, GREEN led indicator ligths on again.
