INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS: This equipment is intended to be installed by qualified personnel. The installation must be made in
accordance with the current edition of the National Electric Code, and all applicable state and local building codes. The final installation must be
approved by the appropriate, qualified, electrical/building inspector(s). Improper Installation may result in a risk of fire or electrical shock hazard.
The instructions provided herein are made available for reference when installing the wallpack luminaire and do not claim to represent all possible
installation variations. If any portion of these installation instructions is unclear then do not proceed with the installation and contact an EYE
Lighting Representative at 1-888-665-2677.

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
Before beginning installation or service, disconnect the power by turning off the circuit breaker. Turning the power off by u sing
the light switch is not sufficient to prevent electrical shock. This floodlight is for outdoor use and should not be used in areas of
limited ventilation or high ambient temperature. Proper grounding is required to insure personal safety. Carefully observe the
correct grounding procedure. All work should be performed by a qualified electrician.

Avant de commencer l'installation ou d'un service , couper l'alimentation en éteignant le disjoncteur. Mise hors tension en
utilisant l'interrupteur de lumière ne suffit pas pour éviter les chocs électriques. Ce projecteur est pour l'extérieur et ne doit pas
être utilisé dans les zones de ventilation limitée ou une température ambiante élevée. Une bonne mise à la terre est nécessaire pour
assurer la sécurité personnelle. Observer attentivement la procédure de mise à la terre correcte. Tous les travaux doivent être effectués par
un électricien qualifié.
Upon receipt of the fixture, thoroughly inspect for any freight damage which should be
brought to the attention of the delivery carrier. Compare the catalog description listed on the
packing slip with the fixture label on the housing to assure you have received the correct item.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Remove the rear mounting plate by loosening the two hex head set screws from bottom of the plate.
CWS Series:
IMPORTANT:
Use silicone sealant to seal all holes in the fixture housing and all edges between the fixture housing and the mounting surface to
weather-proof your outdoor installation. (mounting, conduit, plugs, photo controls, etc).
Surface; Direct mounting to junction box:
Fasten the mounting plate to a recessed outlet or other mounting surface. Use the integrated bubble leveler to ensure that the plate
is level. Splice the power leads from the back of the fixture to the branch circuit leads from the junction box. Attach black to black
(hot), white to white (neutral), and green to green (ground). Push the splices into the junction box. Align the fixture against the
mounting plate and retighten the set screws to secure the fixture in place.
Surface; Wall-mounted wiring box with conduit feed:
Attach the wiring box to the desired location using the bolt holes provided.
Remove the threaded plug(s) and route electrical conduit to the holes desired. Feed the branch circuit wires through the conduit
into the wiring box.
Splice the fixture power leads to the power leads inside the wiring compartment box – black to black (hot), white to white (neutral),
and green to green (ground).
Align the fixture against the wiring box and tighten the set screws to secure the fixture in place. Take care to not pinch the power
wires.
CWS Series with factory installed Emergency (EM) Battery Option:
1. DETACH EM Box(B) from EM Box Cover (C).
NOTE: Detach Hinges between (B) and (C) at a 90° angle,
as shown in Fig. 1
2. Detach the lighting fixture mounting plate (D) from the
fixture €, attach and mount © and (D) according to the
die-cast pattern. At least two holes must be drilled and
mounted with at least two sets of screws and nuts (b),
from a diagonal location.
3. Secure the EM Box (B) to the surface (Wall or Ceiling)
according the die-cast knock-out hole pattern (a)
4. Reattach the EM Box (B_) to the EM Box Cover (C), at a
90° angle as before.
5. Refer to BSL310SB for Wiring Instructions.
Note: The EM is shipped with the wires un-attached to
prevent energizing the luminaire during shipping. For
short-term testing of the emergency function, the battery
must be charged for at least one hour.
