Antenna Warnings

WARNING: The radiated output power of the wireless device is far below the FCC

radio frequency exposure limits. Nevertheless, the unit should be used in such a manner that
the potential for human contact during normal operation is minimized. To avoid the possibility of
exceeding the FCC radio frequency exposure limits, you should keep a distance of at least 20
cm between you (or any other person in the vicinity) and the antenna that is built into the unit.

Introduction

This guide describes the function, installation, and operation of the Extron Touchlink Pro
Touchpanels:

• TLP Pro 725C — 7 inch TouchLink Pro Touchpanels with Series/2 Cable Cubby

• TLP Pro 725C NC — a streamlined version of the TLP Pro 725C, with a set of features

designed to adhere to government and military security protocols.

Unless otherwise stated:

• The terms “TLP Pro 725C,” “TLP Pro 725C Series,” and “touchpanel” refer to both models.

• The terms “Cable Cubby” and “enclosure” refer to the enclosure that is mounted in the table

top.

About the TLP Pro 725C Series

The TLP Pro 725C series touchpanels have a 7-inch Active Matrix Color LCD touch displays
and a screen resolution of 1024x600 (WSVGA). They combine the AV system control of
TLPPro725Series touchpanels with the cable management convenience of the CableCubby.
They feature a tilt-up, full-color touchscreen in an elegant, metal enclosure that can be mounted
securely into a tabletop, lectern, or other flat surface.

The user can define the graphics and the functions associated with those graphics, providing
versatility and adaptability to the configuration and control of an AV system. The screen layout
is designed with the Extron GUI Designer software. The functions can be assigned to the
screen objects with the Extron Global Configurator Plus and Global Configurator Professional
configuration software or with Global Scripter programming software.

A motion sensor, light sensor, and a speaker provide sleep mode, auto dimming, and audible
feedback respectively.

Features

• LCD touchscreen — 7” capacitive flip-up touchscreen with 1024x600 (WSVGA) resolution

and 24-bit color depth. Vibrant edge-to-edge glass display with a more responsive control
surface.

• Gorilla Glass

Glass is stronger and more scratch-resistant than standard glass, while maintaining touch
sensitivity, color saturation, and brightness.

• Faster, quad-core processing — provides enhanced response and overall user

experience.

• Power over Ethernet (PoE 802.3af, class3) compliance — allows the touchpanel to

receive power and communication over a single Ethernet cable, eliminating the need for a
local power supply (power injector sold separately).

• Compatible with the full range of Extron IPL Pro and IPCP Pro control processors

— allows easy integration into existing systems.

• Built-in speaker — provides audible feedback from button presses.

• Patented modular design for fast assembly and serviceability — AV connectivity can

be installed or serviced from the top of the enclosure after the enclosure is installed.

• Series/2 Cable Access Enclosure design offers easy access to AV, data, and power

connections:

The enclosure accommodates three modules in a variety of configurations.

• One or more of the modules can be a Series/2 AC or AC+USB power module. These

are available for US, Europe, and other major world markets. They are optional and
must be purchased separately.

• One or two of the modules can be cable retraction systems, which support most AV,

data, and power needs. The cable retractors are optional and must be purchased
separately. Up to three retractor cables can be used with each retractor module.

• Up to three modules can be connectivity bracket kits in any combination. Each bracket

can contain up to eight AV cables, or three Architectural Adapter Plates (AAPs).
