MLM-UDSM Installation Guide
About the MLM-UDSM
The Extron MLM-UDSM is an under desk/table mounting enclosure for the MediaLink™ Controller (MLC 206) that provides a way to slide the MLC out of the way (like closing a drawer) when not in use. The MLM-UDSM also provides four single-space Architectural Adapter Plate (AAP) openings for attaching control modules or other AAP devices. It is available in three colors: gray (Extron Part #60-394-01), black (#60-394-02), and white (#60-394-03).
The illustration below shows the MLM-UDSM with an optional MLC 206 MediaLink
Installing the MLM-UDSM
Attach the mounting plate to the furniture.
The furniture should be at least 3/4" (1.9 cm) thick if you use the provided screws.
1. Hold the top of the mounting plate against the underside of the desk or table
where you want to install the MLM-UDSM, and mark the locations of the six screw holes. Make sure that the front of the mounting plate faces and is parallel to the outer edge of the furniture.
N The front edge of the sliding enclosure and the front of the mounting plate will
be aligned after installation; the handle protrudes 5/8" (1.6 cm) from that edge.
2. Drill 1/4" to 3/8" (6 to 9 mm) deep pilot
holes in the marked locations. Use a drill bit that is at least two sizes smaller than the screw thread diameter.
3. Fasten the plate
to the furniture with the provided #8 wood screws.
