MediaLink™ Mounting Options Installation Guide
This guide details how to install the following Extron MediaLinkTM Mounting Options faceplates, designed for use with an MLC 206 controller.
MLM 206 LAAP, a 3.15" H x 10.00" W (8.0 cm H x 25.4 cm W) lectern/ furniture-mounting faceplate with four single-space AAP openings: #60-389-02 (black), #60-389-03 (white), 60-389-05 (RAL9010 off-white)

This faceplate replaces the MLM-LAAP.
MLM 206 7GWP, a seven-gang (4.50" H x 13.57" W [11.43 cm H x
34.46 cm W]) faceplate with eight single-space AAP openings. This plate can be mounted to a mud ring, an Extron Surface Mount Box (#60-645-02 or -05), an Extron External Wall Box (#60-689-02, -03, -05), or a standard electrical box: #70-373-02 (black), #70-373-03 (white), #70-373-05 (RAL9010 off-white)

Replacing the MLC 206 Faceplate with an MLM Faceplate
1. Use a small Phillips screwdriver to remove the four faceplate attachment
screws marked

in the picture below, and save them for later use.

Do not remove these screws while the MLC 206 is installed in a wall or furniture, or the controller may fall down into the wall/furniture or wall box.

2. Lift the faceplate off the MLC 206.

Remove four screws.
3. Align the openings in the new MLM faceplate with the controller’s buttons, knob, and LEDs, and place the new faceplate on the MLC, as shown above.
4. Replace the four screws removed in step one, and hand tighten them.
5. Install the MLC 206 MediaLink controller in a wall or furniture as
appropriate. If necessary, use one of the cutout templates in this guide to create an opening in the installation surface of a lectern or other furniture.
Use the appropriate template on the next 2 pages as a guide to measure and mark the hole in the wall or furniture for installing the faceplate with an MLC 206.
The templates are not to scale and are provided for reference only.
The controller requires a depth of at least 1.5" (3.8 cm) inside the wall or furniture.
