desCr ipt ion

The Extron RGB 198 is a universal, analog computer-video interface with audio specifically
designed for under-table and rack-mountable installations. It features a female 15-pin HD input
with audio, a buffered local monitor output, two unswitched AC outlets, and openings for up to
four MAAP - Mini Architectural Adapter Plates.

The RGB 198 offers a 15-130 kHz scanning rate, 300 MHz (-3 dB) RGB video bandwidth, and
is compatible with a wide variety of analog video signals including VGA-QXGA, Mac, Sun®,
and SGI® signals. ID bit termination is provided on pins 4 and 11 of the 15-pin HD input,
ensuring that computers requiring local monitors to operate will do so in the event that one is
not attached. The RGB 198 also converts computer-generated, unbalanced audio to balanced,
line level audio.
