The Extron CVEQ1 is a one input, one output, composite video and stereo
audio line driver with variable video gain and equalization capability. The
CVEQ1 is designed to compensate for signal attenuation and high
frequency loss encountered during a long cable run.

Whether an application involves one composite video signal run over a long
distance or multiple composite video signals being run a variety of
distances, individual signal adjustments are required to deliver the proper
signal strength to each display. In order to allow individual signal
adjustments, each composite video run requires a separate equalizer, a
CVEQ1. Each application requires one CVEQ1 to drive one composite
video source signal, such as the output of a VCR or video camera, to one
display. Active audio buffering converts unbalanced audio to balanced line
level audio.

The CVEQ1 is small and compact, so it can be placed anywhere and easily
moved—features that are especially vital for rental and staging applications.
The gain adjustment compensates for signal level losses that occur over long
cable runs, while the peaking/equalization adjustment compensates for high
frequency loss. The CVEQ1 drives video signals through up to 1,000 feet
(305 m) of Extron Super High Resolution coaxial cable.

The CVEQ1 AAP is a stand-alone Architectural Adapter Plate (AAP). For
discreet architectural integration, the CVEQ1 AAP is wall- or furniture­mountable, and the faceplate may be easily replaced by a custom faceplate.
As an alternative wall-mounting configuration, the CVEQ1 WM is a
single-gang wall plate version of the CVEQ1 AAP and requires a 2" deep
electrical box. The faceplate can be easily replaced by a custom faceplate.

■ Compatibility– Compatible with any NTSC 3.58, NTSC 4.43, PAL,

or SECAM device, such as a VCR or video camera.

■ Peaking/equalization and gain– Gives a user the ability to adjust

peaking/equalization and gain to reduce signal degradation.

■ Active audio buffering– Allows balanced or unbalanced output.

■ Architectural Adapter Plate (AAP) version– The CVEQ1 AAP is

available in grey, black, or white

■ Single-gang wall plate version– The CVEQ1 WM is available in grey,

black, or white.

■ Power requirements– 9-24 VDC

■ Power for USA/domestic versions– The CVEQ1 or CVEQ1

WM/AAP (USA/domestic) includes a 110VAC, external power supply.

■ Power for world versions– The CVEQ1 or CVEQ1 WM/AAP

(World) includes a 110-240VAC, external power supply.
