The Extron AVTrac™ is a low profile, floor-mounted raceway system with a modular
AAP - Architectural Adapter Plate enclosure. It is designed for use in any environment in
which A/V devices cannot be positioned near a wall or other area where power, data, and A/V
connections are traditionally located. AVTrac is a discreet, cost-effective alternative to floor
coring for poke-through devices, trenching for floor boxes, and raised access flooring. AVTrac
is ideal for use in classrooms, training centers and other reconfigurable spaces, and corporate
boardrooms, as well as legacy installations and architecturally-sensitive environments.
The AVTrac raceway system meets accessibility standards for slope and rise as specified by
the Americans with Disabilities Act. The 8-foot (2.4 m) raceway is designed to be installed
underneath new or existing commercial grade carpet and is available in two versions. The
AVTrac 480C accommodates matching carpet in the aluminum raceway top cap for use in new
installations as well as those in which new carpet is being installed. The AVTrac 480R includes
a black Roppe® rubber strip for installation in the raceway cap, ideal for retrofit applications
where additional matching carpet is not readily available.

The Extron AVTrac Extensions are optional 8' (2.4 m) raceway track extension kits for use
with the AVTrac Floor-Mount Raceway System for A/V Connectivity. When combined with the
corresponding AVTrac 480C or AVTrac 480R models, these extensions allow A/V, power, and
data connectors to be placed up to 16' (4.8 m) from a wall or other area where they might
traditionally be located.
AVTrac Extensions are available in two models: AVTrac 8C EXT with a carpet inlay channel,
designed for use with AVTrac 480C, and AVTrac 8R EXT with a Roppe inlay black rubber
strip designed for use with AVTrac 480R. In addition to the 8' (2.4 m) aluminum raceway, both
models also include two 8' (2.4 m) side ramps and installation hardware. AVTrac extensions
can be cut to length and simply butt up to the main unit for ease of installation. This allows
one extension kit to support one or more AVTrac systems. For example, one extension kit
can be cut into four, 2-foot sections or one 3-foot and one five-foot section, and so forth.
AVTrac raceways and extension kits can be cut at almost any angle to meet virtually any
installation requirement.
