Radio Controlled Clock
and Weather Station
Model WTH100
Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of the Extech WTH100 Radio Controlled Wireless Weather
Station. This device is shipped fully tested and calibrated and, with proper use, will provide years
of reliable service.
Operation
GETTING STARTED
1. Remove the battery door by slightly pressing the latch upwards.
2. Insert two new AA size batteries as per indication marked on the battery compartment.
3. Close the battery door.
4. Press the reset button (located on back of clock). The Radio Controlled Clock will
automatically start scanning for the radio controlled time signal.
5. The default time zone is Pacific zone. If you are in this time zone, changing is not required.
Otherwise, change to the correct time zone (Refer to ‘Setting the Time Zone’.)
Notes
In some cases, the clock may be unable to receive a signal immediately. Due to atmospheric
disturbances during the day, the best reception often occurs at night.
The clock is susceptible to interference. Always place the clock away from devices such as TV’s and
computers. Avoid placing clock on or near a metal object.
Do not start the clock in a moving vehicle. Avoid closed areas.
FUNCTION KEYS
TIM E ke y: Push to toggle from day and mont h to year display. Push and hold to enter time set mode.
ALM SET key: Push to view alarm set time. Push and hold to enter alarm set mode.
ALARM On/OFF Slide switch to turn alarm on or off..
°C/°F key: Selects unit of display for temperature. Press and hold for 3 seconds for signal
Mb/hPA/InHg: Display air pressure in inches of mercury or millibars AND hectopascals.
SNOOZE/LIGHT Turns on Backlight and turns alarm off in snooze mode. Snooze interval is 4
WEATHER FORECAST
This device forecasts the next 12 to 24 hours of weather within a 30-50 km (19-31 mile) radius based
on barometric pressure trend readings and indicated by these icons.
MOON PHASE
Moon phase is indicated by the following icons
SIGNAL STRENGTH INDICATOR
The signal indicator displays signal strength in 3 levels. Wave segment flashing means time signals are
being received. The signal quality falls into three categories:
SETTING THE TIME ZONE
Make sure the time zone is already set to appropriate location. The default time zone is Pacific zone. If
your location is out of Pacific zone press the ▲ key to select the proper time zone. (P=Pacific
M=Mountain C=Central E=Eastern)

SECONDS, DAY OF WEEK AND YEAR DISPLAY
The clock alternates between displaying seconds and the day of the week.
To display the year, press TIME. The year will display. Press TIME again to return do day and month or
clock will switch back automatically after 30 seconds.
SETTING THE ALARM
1. With the clock in normal time display mode press
and hold ALM SET button.
2. Press or hold ▲ or ▼ to change hour.
3. Press ALM SET again. The minute digits will flash
4. Press or hold ▲ or ▼ to change minutes
5. Press ALM SET to save.
6. Slide ALARM button to ON position. and Zz appear. Your alarm is now set
SETTING TIME MANUALLY
1. Remove battery for 30 seconds.
2. Press TIME until HOUR digits flash. Press or hold ▲ or ▼ to change hour
3. Press TIME. MINUTES flash. Press or hold ▲ or ▼ to change minutes.
4. Press TIME again to step through Hours > Minutes > Seconds > Year .> Month > Date>Language
(GB-FR-DE-ES-IT). Press or hold ▲ or ▼ to change.

SNOOZE FUNCTIONS
1. When alarm goes off, press SNOOZE
2. Clock will snooze for 4 minutes
12/24 Hour Clock
In clock mode press ▼ to switch time display from 12 hour clock (am/pm) to 24 hour clock.

EXTECH INSTRUMENTS CORPORATION warrants this instrument to be free of defects in parts and workmanship for one
year from date of shipment (a six month limited warranty applies to sensors and cables). If it should become necessary to
return the instrument for service during or beyond the warranty period, contact the Customer Service Department at (781) 8907440 ext. 210 for authorization or visit our websifor contact information. A Return Authorization (RA) number must be issued
before any product is returned to Extech. The sender is responsible for shipping charges, freight, insurance and proper
packaging to prevent damage in transit. This warranty does not apply to defects resulting from action of the user such as
misuse, improper wiring, operation outside of specification, improper maintenance or repair, or unauthorized modification.
