Operation
Battery Installation/Replacement
Using a coin or a screwdriver, turn the battery compartment cover a quarter turn to the left. Remove the
cover and install/replace the battery observing the proper polarity.
Taking Temperature Measurements
1. Slide the ON/OFF switch to turn the thermometer on. The digital display will begin to indicate
temperature. If the display does not operate, replace the battery.

Considerations
• For best results, the probe disk should be held flat against the surface and the surface are should
be free of any dirt or substance that will inhibit thermal contact.
• The thermometer should not be placed inside any oven or microwave.
• Remove the battery from the thermometer if it is not to be used for an extended time period.
