By dual assignment of the pins, the USB Type-C plug can be plugged into the port on

install the drivers.
CHECK INSTALLED DRIVER:
Open the >Device manager<. Now you should see at „USB-Controller“ the following new entry:
If you see this or a similar information the device is installed correctly.
CLEANING
For cleaning please use only a dry fluff less cloth and remove the dirt with gently pressure. In
HARDWARE INSTALLATION
Because there are large differences between PC’s, we can give you only a general installation
guide for the EX-1198VS. Please refer your computer’s reference manual whenever in doubt.
1. Install the EX-1198VS to the wall with the Wall Mounting Kit.
2. Connect the USB cable to the USB C-Port at the Hub.
3. Connect the includes power supply to the DC Connector or connect the optional power
supply to the Terminal Block to the Hub.
4. Now connect the other end from the USB cable (C-Plug) to the C-Port at your PC.
the area of the connectors please make sure that no fibres from the cloth remain in the connectors. Attention! Never use a moist or wet cloth for cleaning!

BESCHREIBUNG & TECHNISCHE DATEN
Die EX-1198VS ist ein USB 3.0/3.1(Gen1) HUB für bis zu 7 Endgeräte mit 15KV ESD Überspannungs-Schutz. Der Hub ist mit fünf USB 3.0/3.1(Gen1) A-Buchsen sowie zwei USB 3.0/3.1
(Gen1) C-Buchsen für Endgeräte und eine USB 3.0/3.1(Gen1) C-Buchse für den Anschluss an
den PC ausgestattet. Die EX-1198VS unterstützt alle USB Anschlüsse von 2.0, 3.0 & 3.1. Über
die externe Stromversorgung per Netzteil können an jedem Port 900mA zur Verfügung gestellt
werden. Die EX-1198VS gewährleistet so eine sichere Datenübertragung und exzellente Performance von bis zu 5Gbit pro Sekunde! Die EX-1198VS unterstützt den Self Power und Bus
Power Modus. Zusätzlich ist die EX-1198VS mit einem USB Power Überspannungsschutz
ausgestattet. Die EX-1198VS kann problemlos mit der im Lieferumfang enthaltenen Wand
Montage Halterung an die W and installiert werden. Des weiteren besitzt die EX-1198VS verschraubbare USB 3.0/3.1(Gen1) Anschlüsse.

Nach Abschluss der Hardware Installation erkennt das Betriebssystem den EX-1198VS automatisch und installiert diesen.
ÜBERPRÜFEN DES INSTALLIERTEN TREIBER:
Öffnen Sie den >Geräte-Manager<. Jetzt müssten Sie unter „USB-Controller“ folgenden Eintrag
sehen:
Ist dieser oder ein ähnlicher Eintrag vorhanden, ist die EX-1198VS richtig installiert.
REINIGUNG
Zur Reinigung des Gerätes verwenden Sie bitte ausschließlich ein trockenes nicht faserndes
HARDWARE INSTALLATION
Beachten Sie bitte die folgenden Installationshinweise. Da es große Unterschiede zwischen
PC‘s gibt, können wir Ihnen nur eine generelle Anleitung zum Einbau der EX-1198VS geben.
Bei Unklarheiten halten Sie sich bitte an die Bedienungsanleitung Ihres Computersystems.
1. Installieren Sie die EX-1198VS an die Wand mit der mitgelieferten Wand Montage Halterung.
2. Verbinden Sie das mitgelieferte USB 3.1(Gen1) Kabel mit dem USB 3.0/3.1(Gen1) Upstream
C-Anschluss des Hubs.
3. Schließen Sie jetzt den Stromanschluss des mitgelieferten Netzteils an die DC Buchse an
oder schließen Sie das optionale Netzteile an den Terminal Block des Hubs an und stecken
Sie den Netzstecker des Netzteils in eine Steckdose.
4. Verbinden Sie nun das andere Ende (C-Anschluss) des mitgelieferten USB 3.0/3.1(Gen1)
Kabels mit der C-Buchse an Ihrem PC.
Tuch und entfernen Sie die Verschmutzung mit leichtem Druck. Im Bereich der Anschlüsse bitte
darauf Achten, dass keine Fasern des Tuchs in der Buchse hinterlassen werden. Verwenden
Sie bitte zu Reinigung in keinem Fall ein feuchtes oder nasses Tuch!

DESCRIPTION & TECNICAL INFORMATION
The EX-1198VS is a plug & play high-speed USB 3.0/3.1(Gen1) hub for 7 devices with 15KV
ESD Surge Protection. The EX-1198VS provides five USB 3.0/3.1(Gen1) A-Ports and two USB
3.0/3.1(Gen1) C-Ports for USB devices and one Upstream USB 3.0/3.1(Gen1) C-Port to the PC.
It uses data transfer rates up to 5Gbit per second. The EX-1198VS design fully utilize the
Renesas chipset, which represents the latest in high speed USB interface technology. It provides a secure and very high data transfer on each single port. Via a external power supply it is
possible to provide a maximum of 900mA on each USB port. Additionally it provides bus powered or self powered mode. The EX-1198VS is additionally equipped with a USB peak power
surge protection. The EX-1198VS can installed to a wall with the Wall Mounting Kit. Furthermore the EX-1198VS support screw able USB 3.0/3.1 (Gen1) ports.
