Coated with black anvibraon colour the baskets are acouscal deaden to provide
best results. We at EXCURSION took especially care of maximum cooling of voice coil.
All baskets are symmetrical vented below the spider for maximum heat transfer,
knowing that a cool voice coil is able to take more power and handle more power.

Voice Coils. Using the finest material of pure copper which is precise winded on
aluminium formers. Aluminium, one of the best heat-conducng materials and

EXCURSION
It is recommend that you have your new EXCURSION SX Series Automove
Speakers professionally installed by your authorizied EXCURSION dealer. This
will ensure use of proper installaon techniques and materials and save much
me and efforts. If you choose to perform your own installaon, the following
instrucon will give you direcon toward making your purchase complete. Read
the following informaon and precauons carefully. Failure to follow the stated
precauons may result in personal injury or damage the audio system or vehicle.
A.) Always make sure the speaker will easily fit into the intended mounng locaon
and that there is adequate cavity depth to accept the magnet structure.
B.) Check for adequate clearance between speaker and window, window crank,
power window mechanism, seat, glove box, rear deck torsion bars and other
items which may interfere with the speaker`s mounng. This is especially
important if any hole cung is required. Complete speaker, mounng size and
depth requirements can be found on page 9 of these instrucons. A good way to
confirm speaker place meet on a door or body panel is to place the speaker`s
die cast mounng ring onto the surface. Check for a flat mounng surface,
free from all obstrucon.
C.) The method of installaon choosen and level of execuon will effect the
overall performance of the EXCURSION Speakers. Thread each installaon
step with a high degree of aenon.
D.) Do not mount the speaker where water may splash the woofer cone.
A plasc cup or some heavy gauge plasc sheeng may be needed in some
locaons that are exposed to moisture from behind the body panel.
E.) Care must be taken to prevent low frequency cancelaon caused by air
leakage between the front and rear of the speaker (such as when mounted
on a curved or uneven surface, or when mounted in an oversized hole)
F.) Mounng panel reinformcement may be necessary in some cases in order
to prevent surface flex. This can be achieved by mounng the speaker on a
metal or wooden sub-baffle behind the body or door panel.
Consult an installaon specialst for further direcon.
Pre-Installaon Instrucons:

G.) Unless you are replacing exisng speakers of same size, mounng locaons
will have to be cut into the doors, body panels or rear deck. In some cases
speaker mounng holes will be precut in the doors, bodypanels, or rear
deck steel. Due to their structural integrity and accessibility. These precut
mounng holes should be used whenever possible.
IMPORTANT: Never cut any metal that is an integral part of an automobile`s
safety or structural support system.
NOTE: EXCURSION strongly recommends that you operate the complete
audio system at low volume before final installaon of your SX Series
Automove Loudspeakers. This will allow a trial listening test before
securing the loudspeakers into their mounng locaons.
CAUTION: Make sure that all speaker wiring is fully protected from cung
or wear. Any short circuits developing as a result could severaley damage
the radio unit or amplifier. Make sure that all speaker wires easily reach the
speaker terminals without stress on the wire or connectors.
PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION
Note: The tools listed below may be required for proper installaon.
* An elecric drill with drill bits
* Phillips-head and standard screwdrivers
* Crimping tool and needle-nose pliers
* Silicon sealant or closed cell weather-stripping
* Metal file, Hole saw, Tin Snips, Wire strippers
INSTALLATION PRECAUTIONS
Note: Proceed only if you are a qualified installer otherwise let your dealer do it.
* Always wear protecve eyewear when using tools
* Turn OFF all stereo and other electrical devices before you begin
* Disconenect the (-) negave lead from your vehicle`s baery.
* Keep the speakers in the package unl final installaon.
* Locate fuel lines, brake lines, oil lines, electrical cables when planning installaon.
* Check to see clearance behind the mounng surface before installing speakers.
* When running speaker wires through sheet metal, be sure to use gromments
to properly insualte the wires from metal edges.

EXCURSION LIMITED WARRANTY POLICY
EXCURSION Intl. offers limited warranty on EXCURSION products under normal use on the following terms:
EXCURSION Speakers are to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year.
This warranty applies only to EXCURSION products sold to consumers by Authorizied EXCURSION Dealers
in Germany. Products purchased by consumers from an EXCURSION dealer in another country are covered
only by that country´s Distributor and not by EXCURSION Intl.
This warranty covers only the original purchaser of EXCURSION product. In order to receive service, the
purchaser must provide EXCURSION with the receipt stang the consumer name, dealer, product and date
of purchase.
Products found to be defecve during the warranty period will be repaired or replaced (with a product
deemed to be equivalent) at Excursion`s discreon and will not be liable for incidental or consequenal
damages. EXCURSION will not warranty this product under the following situaons:
* Speakers received with bent frames or water damages
* Abuse such as holes in the cone, surround or ripped spider
* Voice coil damage due to amplifier clipping or distoron
* Product that has not been installed according to this owner manual
Any implied warranes including warranes of fitness for use and merchantability are limited in duraon
to the period of the express warranty set forth above. No person is authorizied to assume for EXCURSION
any other liability in connecon with the sale of this product.
Please call prior your authorizied EXCURSION dealer the product got purchased. In case they
are not accessible call 0961-416-0420 for EXCURSION Customer Service. You must obtain an RA#
(Return Authorizaon Number) to return any product to EXCURSION Intl. The RA number must
be prominently marked on the outside of the shipping carton or the delivery will be refused.
Please pack your return carefully! We are not responsibile for items damaged in shipping.
Return the defecve product along with a copy of the original dated retail sales receipt, plus 10,- EUR
for handling and diagnosc evaluaon to:
