Congratulations on purchasing your new Excelair Pedestal Fan!
Before using your Pedestal Fan for the first time, it is crucial to read and follow the instructions in this booklet, even
if you are familiar with this type of appliance. Pay special attention to the section on IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS.
Keep this booklet in a safe and convenient place for future reference.
This appliance is designed to operate from a standard domestic power outlet and is not intended for industrial or
commercial use.
Your Pedestal Fan is safe and easy to use. It has been engineered to function quietly and safely under normal
conditions. Featuring a sturdy stand and contemporary design, your Pedestal Fan is fully portable. Its energyeicient blades circulate cool air while consuming less power than a standard light bulb. The heavy-duty motor is
rated for continuous use, making it ideal for long, hot summers.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they are supervised or instructed in the safe use of the
appliance by a responsible person. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

INDOOR USE ONLY
• Disconnect the power plug before dismantling,
assembling, or cleaning.
• Avoid touching moving parts of the fan.
• Ensure the fan is placed on a dry and even
surface.
• Never insert fingers, pencils, or any other objects
through the guards while the power plug is
connected, especially when the fan is running.
• Use the appliance only for its intended purpose.
• Do not use the fan if the guards are not properly
fastened according to the instructions.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced
by the manufacturer, a service agent, or a
similarly qualified person to avoid hazards.
• Do not use the appliance with an extension
cord unless it has been checked and tested by a
qualified electrician or electrical supplier.
• Switch o and unplug the power plug when not
in use.
• The mains supply must conform to the
specification shown on the rating plate on the
back of the fan.
• This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced

use of the appliance by a person responsible for

• Ensure that appliance does not get wet (water
splashes etc.).

• Do not immerse appliance in water or other
liquids or use near sinks, baths or showers.
• DO NOT run the power cord under the stand.
• Position the power supply lead properly so that
they will not be walked on or pinched by items
placed on or against them.
• Do not use appliance if it has been dropped or
any part of appliance (including cord or plug) has
been damaged.
• The use of accessories not intended for use with
this appliance may cause injuries to the user or
damage to the appliance.
• Do not install the unit on other appliances, on
uneven surfaces or where it could be subject
to: heat sources (e.g. radiators or stoves), direct
sunlight, excessive dust or mechanical vibrations.
Fit the support pole to the base and secure with the angled bolt and washer.
Secure tightly with fingers and place base on the ground.
With the base on firm level ground loosen the height adjustment ring and extend the support pole. The support pole
may initially be tight; if necessary, use pliers to grasp and pull it into position.
Take the fan motor assembly and fit to the top of the extended support pole and secure with the threaded thumb
screw. Tighten securely with fingers only.
To assemble the safety grille and blade assembly, first remove the spinner (by turning it clockwise) and then the
locking nut (by turning it anticlockwise) from the motor spindle.
Place the back safety grille into position, ensuring it fits onto the locating lugs. When correctly positioned, the safety
grille’s carry handle will be at the top.
Secure the back safety grill by tightly replacing the locking nut by hand. Do not force the locking nut, it will screw on
clockwise easily provided 3 locating lugs are positioned correctly. Tighten securely with fingers only.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The groove on the rear of the blade lines up with the cross bar on the motor spindle. Once the blade is fitted gently
secure with the spinner, which screws on ANTI-CLOCKWISE.
The spinner will go on easily ANTI-CLOCKWISE, tighten. Note that the spinner is also self tightening when fitted.

Lift all the locking clips around the outside of the front safety grill. To fit position the “n” clip at the top.
Secure the front to the back safety grill by closing the grill clips around the outer rim. Ensure the screw and nut are
securely fitted through the hole at the bottom of the assembled safety grill.
Use in a dry place, free of excessive humidity and water.
When connected to the power the Power LED on the fan control panel will glow.
This unit can be operated by the control panel on the fan or by remote control in the same
manner. The corresponding LED on the fan control panel will be illuminated according to
your selection.
ON/OFF: Turns the fan on and o. Once turned on the fan will start in NORMAL mode
with LOW speed pre-selected.
SPEED: Adjusts the fan speed, oering options of LOW, MEDIUM, and HIGH.
MODE: Selects one of three airflow types:
1. Normal Mode: Provides standard fan airflow and can be used with any of the three
fan speeds (LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH).
2. Natural Mode: Can be used with any of the three fan speeds:
a. HIGH: The fan alternates between High, Medium, and Low speeds.
b. MEDIUM: The fan alternates between Medium and Low speeds.
c. LOW: The fan alternates between Low speed and OFF.
3. Sleep Mode: Adjusts airflow in combination with the three fan speeds:
a. HIGH: The fan operates on High Natural mode for 30 minutes, then Medium
Natural mode for 30 minutes, followed by Low Natural mode for the
remaining time.
b. MEDIUM: The fan operates on Medium Natural mode for 30 minutes, then
Low Natural mode for the remaining time.
c. LOW: The fan operates on Low Natural mode continuously.
TIME: Pressing the time button will activate the timer-o function. Each time the key is
pressed the timer will be increased by 30mins up to a maximum of 7.5 hours. When the
timer reaches the time the fan will stop automatically.
OSC: The oscillation button will start the fan oscillating. Press again for fixed operation.
CAUTION!
Do not immerse the fan in water or allow
water to drip into the interior of the fan housing
OPERATION OF YOUR PEDESTAL FAN
Before operating, remove the cable tie and unwind the cordset. DO NOT run the power cord under the stand. The
fan and motor assembly are connected to a 4-position ratchet. Tilt the assembly up or down until it clicks into your
desired position.

as this could create a fire or electric shock hazard.
CARE AND CLEANING
Always disconnect electrical appliances before cleaning.
Always disconnect the power plug from the main power point before removing any guards.
To clean the blade and grille assembly, first remove the safety grille, unscrew the locknut, and detach the blade from
the Pedestal Fan. Wipe them clean with a slightly damp sponge.
Use a clean, damp cloth to clean the motor housing and body assembly, then wipe dry.
Never spray liquids or submerge the Pedestal Fan in water or any other liquid.
WARNING!
Do not open or attempt to repair the fan
yourself. Doing so may void the warranty
and could result in damage or personal injury.
